Prithvi's Friendship

Okay, so this is my discussion topic.

Was Prithvi's friendship genuine? I mean, yeah he was really nice to Kripa, helped Kripa out of alot of problems...but it wasnt because they were friends, it was becuase Prithvi "loved" Kripa.

The way I see it, Prithvi never wanted to be friends with Kripa. He was day dreaming about her from the first day he saw her, so doesnt that mean he did everything he did to kind of impress her, or get on her good side so someday she's love him back?

I mean, he said it too that he's doing all of this becuase he loves her. It wasnt as if he was fufilling his duties as a friend.

But then...like he did try to get Angad and Kripa back together at the begining and thats the only time he seemed to be a genuine friend to me. The other times, for me he seemed to just be trying making his way into her heart, it wasnt about friendship, it was about love.

And of course at the end, he proved to neither be a good friend or lover...

Um...prithvi was a selfish loser in the show..
he was really selfish..that apart from wht he desired he didnt see anything else..

he takes the world only from how he sees it..not how things were... 😛

but di, even at first he did whatever he did becuase he loved Kripa. he wanted his chance with her...he didnt help her as a friend, he helped her as a lover.

you cant be friends with the person you love, it doesnt work like that.

i still think he had a selfish reasons behind helping her...you think of it in a pratical note...even when Anagd asked him why he cared about kripa, prithvi didnt say oh because she's my best friend, he just because i love her.

seeeeeee a tru frend will help n neva xpect nefing in return whereas i feel as tho prithvi always xpected kripa too accept him as more than a frend

he accepted her in all conditions n situations 4 his own selfish needs n coz he 'loves' her which later turned in2 obsession n den just completely went crazy

whether he tried 2 get angad n kripa bck 2geva inda begining ofda serial im sure atda bottom of his heart he wud always hope fings wudnt work out between A-K

ok well in my perspective i never thought prithivi was a true friend to kripa. everything he ever did for her was becasue of his love. if he ever helped her it was because he loved her. In the beginning he was less supporting her but more impressing her by acting like a friend to gain her trust and love. So she would gradually lose focus on Angad. Which sort of worked resulting to their engagment in sep or something.

exactly..at the end he wanted her heart. he did it all so she wud love him back one day. so doesnt that go agaisnt him being a good friend? and he said it..i remebr in man episode he said im doing it all bcuz i love you, and i know one day you'll love me back.

I thought (thought is the key word here!) that Prithvi was a true friend to Kripa... but then later found out that he was quite selfish and only wanted her for his own benefits... didn't care about anyone else..!! which is quite sad because i used to like his character.!

Keshu, u can love someone and be their best friend too! Its very common best friends falling love!

Now back to Prithvi, I think his lover for Kripa was genuine, he even accepted Angad's baby only a tru lover would do that, he accepted Kripa in any which way. Obsession for his love made him turn evil!
