I am yet to see Parineeta, am DYING to see it, but my hubby dear is too busy to take me there right now, so I m keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, for one, I cannot compare a classic from Sarat Chandra to a daily soap from Ekta...there itself the BIGGEST difference lies.

Parineeta was a three hour movie, made over a time frame, with exclusive scenes which have to be shot once, and then canned.

Saif and Vidya had to perform those scenes once, their fights, passion, lovemaking, all coming across to the viewers compressed in that three hour time frame.

KYPH is a daily, wherein these ppl have to give similar scenes, shots and acting over and over again. The storyline is going thru a tough patch at the moment, and will be more so, in the near future. If we compare, A-K had enuf scenes to keep us engulfed, even tho its a daily. An achievement.

Considering all that, I still think that this is one serial which is keeping my interest level high enuf for me to watch it everyday. I have gotten sick of whatever other serials I used to watch.

As far as A-K chemistry goes, a scene is worthwhile only when the two of them are in the same frame. And as far as their individual performances go, I am liking Kripa better than Angad since the last four episodes. She has managed to look so totally washed out and battered, its some performance. Angad has been his usual self, Kripa has been phenomenal.

She was almost looking blue yday, when Mishti was howling at her in Prithvi's room. I wud say, thats good acting. She has defi improved.

I am sure my take on this wouldnt be as satisfactory as you wud have wanted, to reinstall your jaded interest in the serial. I hope for Nits' help there. 😊
