The latest buzz doing the rounds in television circles is that Balaji Telefilms doesn't want to work with Sony for at least a year and a half after Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai wraps up in November. The inside story behind this decision is still not clear. However the speculation is that Ekta Kapoor is not too happy about one of her chief creative heads, Sandip Sickand suddenly dumping Balaji to join Sony. Perhaps the shrewd businesswoman thinks that Sickand's tenure will be over by then. The other reason could be the fact that Sony is not exactly rocking as a general entertainment channel these days. Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai has dismal ratings and Kkusum too did not exactly have a great ending. Maybe that's the reason why the queen of soaps wants to fully concentrate on her favorite Star TV and not to forget the very successful Kasamh Se on Zee TV. |
