Topic 3: Mishti's revenge seeking right or wrong?
Viewpoint: Angad and Kripa
From Angad and Kripa's point of view, Mishti coming back for revenge is not at all justified.
Why? Read on darlingsâŚ
I have always heard that the beginning is the best place to start from. That sounds good to me, so ladies and gentlemen (are there even guys here?) allow me to bring you back to the beginning of Angad and Kripa's love saga. Why? Don't you trust me? Well, I don't blame you; nowadays you have to question everything. In order to show you (the judge(s) and members) why Mishti's coming back to execute her little revenge plot is not at all justified, I will have to point out why Mishti's main reasons for revenge, her dear old Prithvi's tragedy and her adhuri love story, shouldn't have had a place in Angad and Kripa's love story to begin with. In fact, Mishti and Prithvi brought suffering and losses on themselves and revenge on Angad and Kripa has no basis because Angad and Kripa are not even at fault! Ao sunao pyar ki ek kahaniâŚ
When someone will ask me how I met my future husband, I plan on saying how we were attracted to each other instantly, and grew close as friends, and finally realized our love for one another. But yaar, yeh tho kitni boring story hogi na! But if someone were to ask Angad or Kripa how they met, well, I believe my future story would be put to shame. Remember how Angad the handsome, rugged casanova patted Kripa on her behind to signify appreciation for her singing and how Kripa the beautiful maiden gave him a slap whose tight echo still resounds in that music academy?
No, I'm not trying to depict how much they hated each other, but how they slowly fell in love. Even though they were complete opposites, they learned to understand each other and take care of each other. In fact, their love started to play a dominant role in both their respective lives. Check it out: Kripa was a traditional, small-town girl whose love for Angad was so pure that his truth compelled her to hate him beyond her capacity. And Angad? Girls were there for masti and fun but that's it, until Kripa entered his life. Hating her only brought him closer to her. And what happened? Well, then Prithvi makes a very grand entry (of course Mishti does too, but on that a bit later). At once he is overwhelmed by Kripa's beauty, innocence and simplicity. I don't blame himâŚbut back to the point, he fell in love with Kripa. And his feelings got the best of him.
Damini ji found out, and immediately planned for Prithvi's and Kripa's wedding with Naina ji. Sure Prithvi had a huge misunderstanding that Kripa loved him too, but he never bother to confirm this, and thus brought the following tragedy upon himself. Kripa left him at the engagement ceremony and ran right into Angad's arms, where she professed her love to him and he his to her. Prithvi's first mistake: he had assumed Kripa loved him too without ever asking her directly how she felt about him.
Fast forwarding a little bit to the first Angad and Kripa separation, Mishti gets in on the mistake bandwagon too this time. Angad is in tears, he is heartbroken and furious that Kripa cheated on him (on the contraryâŚ) and what does Naina ji do? Like any good businesswoman, er, I mean mother, she tried to match Angad up with Mishti, knowing very well that Angad has always loved Kripa. You want to hear a secret? Come closer and I'll tell you: Mishti knew that Angad has always loved Kripa too! But her own love for Angad turned to destroy her (I believe the terms fanaa comes to mind). She let herself believe he was actually in love with her, when all he was doing was trying to forget about Kripa. Mishti tried to turn her friendship with Angad into a relationship, but Angad repeatedly refused to become hers, until he was brainwashed so badly, that marriage came up. But once the truth was found out, he went back to Kripa, his true love. However, Mishti's constant lie to herself that Angad had indeed started to love her back left her alone in solitude when she had known very well what Kripa meant to Angad. Mishti's first mistake: she had pretended that she believed that Angad truly did love her.
Moving on, let's revisit the second Angad Kripa separation, in which Prithvi became Kripa's closest friend and pretty soon her fianc. Like sister, like brother. Despite knowing Kripa's intense, sincere love for Angad, he chose to let her force herself into marrying him. He always stated that he knew her condition, her heart's true desire. Yet, he couldn't see that she was never happy with him. Sure, some might say he did realize that and that's why he finally gave her up to Angad when the second truth came out. But allow me to point out that he wasn't at all satisfied with his decision and as a result plotted against Angad. In fact, he murdered Josh, Angad's best friend, when Josh found out how evil Prithvi truly was. In the aftermath, he separated Angad from Kripa, brainwashed Kripa into hating Angad and finally the financial crisis of the Khanna family forced Kripa to marry Prithvi. Yet their marriage was one from hell; Kripa constantly remembered Angad and never became Prithvi's wife in the true sense. Prithvi suffered some more. Even though Kripa was with him, she wasn't his. His second mistake: he tried to get Kripa when he knew she was never his.
Angad then became Zaib, and he sought revenge against Kripa, while using Mishti as bait. Once again, Angad came back into Kripa's life, ruining Prithvi's minute hopes, and at the same time, Mishti threw away her marriage-to-be with Karthik to be with Zaib. Mishti's second mistake: she let her emotions get the best of her so much so that she rejected Karthik's true love for Zaib's lover boy act.
As the story goes on, even in hate Kripa and Angad get back together, and Prithvi's and Mishti's lives are ruined. But not due to Angad and Kripa because it was Prithvi and Mishti who sought love from people who they knew did not reciprocate their love from the very beginning. Realistically speaking, does it make sense to trap a woman into marrying you when she doesn't love you? Does it make sense to throw away everything and run to a man who is but a stranger to you? I believe not.
Now, coming to the home stretch of this reply, let's take a look at Prithvi's deewanapaan for Kripa. He knew very well that Angad and Kripa loved each other, but his love for Kripa led him to murder and finally to a silent life on a hospital bed. Kripa never sought to bring his life to a standstill; it was Prithvi who persisted in having Kripa despite knowing the truth! And Mishti was no different. She knew that Angad had always loved Kripa and he had never been hers. Yet, she let herself believe that he loved her.
Ladies and gentlemen, Mishti has come back to seek revenge against Angad and Kripa because they have ruined her and her brother's lives. But take a moment and reflect whether her revenge is justified. It is not. Mishti and Prithvi had dug their own pits and now they are forever trapped in them. Angad and Kripa had always loved each other and had never loved Mishti and Prithvi respectively. But Mishti had denied this truth, and Prithvi has manipulated it to become a lie. And what happened? They both suffered and they're still suffering. It is not Angad and Kripa's fault that Mishti and Prithvi did not understand their love for each other and had always tried to steal that love away. Therefore, Mishti coming back to seek revenge is unjustified, because it was she and her dear brother who were unwilling to accept the truth in the first place!
Good things happen to good people; the opposite holds truth too. Mishti and Prithvi did not do the right things and tried to obtain love they knew was never theirs and tried to obtain it through deceit! Nothing good can come from that, and not surprisingly, Mishti and Prithvi suffer because of their mistakes today still.
In conclusions, Mishti coming to seek revenge against Angad and Kripa is not at all justified.
Thank you
