Ekta lets Iqbal take mini leap
Khan will only age by four years on Kaisa Yeh Pyarr Hai, while everyone else will grow older by 20

Ekta Kapoor is magnanimous when it comes to her favourite actors. She seems to have made peace with Iqbal Khan's decision of not taking a generation leap on the soap, thereby turning the age-page with extra care in Kaisa Yeh Pyarr Hai.
Putting an end to Khan's age blues, Kapoor says, "I've decided to age Iqbal's character by four years only. I like Iqbal. He's one of the most chilled-out guys… and so committed to his work. I understood his reluctance to age on Kaisa Yeh Pyarr Hai completely. That's why we didn't go for a huge age leap. Iqbal's character Angad returns not knowing he has a child. So the only difference is, Iqbal will have to play a dad now."
Putting rest to rumours that Smriti Irani too is reluctant to move ahead by a generation on Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kapoor says, "Smriti is being a doll about the change. She wants to age. In fact, she shocked me by saying, 'Please make me look older. Give me wrinkles'. I don't know why people feel she doesn't want to age. The generation leap can take place only when the story reaches a curve. Certain dramatic points needed elaboration. But now we're ready to take the leap in June. The only problem is, I haven't found my new Tulsi yet."
