Hey all…..how is everybody? Hope everyone is doing great! I've been busy, busy, busy and only just got around to seeing last night's episode right before today's show; so had a little hour long kyph bonanza; and Oh-My-Dear-Lord!!!!!! The confession; and it was a heart felt and heart stopping confession no matter how Kripa tries to rationalize it, just blew me over backwards!!! Unbelievable stuff! Did you see the way Angad was literally trembling with the force of his barely suppressed emotions? Uff! Mind-blowing! I was literally holding my breath when he was so intensely demanding to know from Kripa what her heart said…..and this after I knew what was going to happen, can only imagine what all you first time viewers must have gone through. Phew! And the scene when Kripa goes to Angad but starts to turn away; only to have her hand caught and held by Angad. And then when they simply stood there; staring at each other with their brimming eyes doing all the talking….it was so poignant, and all I wanted to do was tell them to hug and kiss and make-up and put themselves and all of us out of this misery. Sigh! If only!
Anyway, after floating somewhere in kyph heaven for all too brief an instant after that stellar scene; reality rushed in only too quickly when today's episode started with A-K still hugging but then drawing apart slowly; still gazing at each other intently; completely lost in each other as always. But the spell was broken quickly enough when Angad told Kripa that, "Kitni ajeeb baat hai na Kripa; mai aaj bhi tum sai pyar karta hoon, lekin nafrat bhi karta hoon." Sigh! Here we go again!!! I believe Hafsa's s.o.t.d post a couple of days back covered A-K's situation perfectly with that Celine Dion song, "I hate you then I love you." And thus the cycle seems to be going on and on and on.
Angad elaborated his pronouncement while Kripa stood there silently; telling her that, "When you love someone, you can recognize them amongst a million people, hear their heartbeat amongst a million heartbeats….that person's love makes you strong; but your love, Kripa, made me so weak."
He lashed out at her because of the same old bitterness rearing its ugly head again; tried to impress clearly on her that though he may be defenseless against the love that he had for her that would perhaps remain as long as the stars continue to shine, but that he also hated her for what she had done; despised her for taking his fragile love and trust and shattering it so completely, for destroying his life and told her that, "The Angad who loves you is still present in my heart. The Angad you sent to jail. I hate you Kripa. I always try to forget you, but now this happen now…….I haven't come back to win you over again. I've come to extract my revenge. I loved you and in return you sent me to jail and then married someone and set up your home while leaving me to rot. My hatred for you outweighs my love. Nobody can come between my hatred and you"
But if there's one thing Kripa isn't that's a coward; she may be foolhardy and clueless as hell, but she's got guts too; so instead of backing down and scampering for cover after hearing this declaration of war, she slowly wiped away her tears and drawled out, "Tumhari nafrat aur pyar ka dhong khatam ho gaya." And saying so, left behind a slightly bemused looking Angad while she strolled towards a tape recorder and told him smugly that she had recorded their little chat and his confession, and that she would naturally be making sure that everyone listened to it.
But what got to me the most was the way Angad appeared almost unconcerned by this threat and the only thing that he asked was her, "Iss ka matlab jo sab kuch tum nai kaha tha, who jhoot tha?" and while I silently begged Kripa to not say it, she did exactly the opposite and told him condescendingly, "Yes! Mr. Zaib" ……………..Liar! Liar! Liar! I'm calling Kripa's bluff on this out and out whopper, I tell you. You know, for all her talk about honesty, how can she forget that being honest with yourself figures very high on the list of the do's of honesty as well. And if she were to hold a mirror up to her soul and peer into it; truthfully, the only thing she would see reflected back would be Angad; but today Kripa proved yet again for all and sundry that the crown of the denial queen belongs exclusively to her and her alone.
Kripa walked out after sweetly enquiring if he would be coming to the dinner party while poor Angoo baby just stood there gazing at her departing back and long after; a most ambiguous expression on his face, a mixture of love, hate, pain, hurt, anger…..I don't know, you guys tell me. Lol. Although my sister remarked that despite being a pretty macho guy; Angad managed to look like a little lost lamb remarkably well at times; when she happened to pass by when this scene was showing.
Anyhow, Daadi was shown coming out of a door after all this had transpired and I guess she pretty much put two and two together. Clever Daadi! I guess she heard what was happening at first and then went away to give them privacy; because though she knew about Angad's declaration of love for Kripa; she didn't find out about Kripa's slipshod plan till she overheard her boasting about it at the party.
The second set started with Kripa wandering around restlessly in her house, thinking to herself that, "I know that you don't love me Angad. You only want to avenge yourself and destroy my family. But I won't let you be successful in you plans; I'll make Prithvi and Mishty listen to this tape." Cut to Kripa and Prithvi walking down the stairs, dressed for the party, while Prithvi told her that the party was in honor of her singing again after such a long time. Mishty came down from behind them and at that instant Zaib entered, prompting both Mishty and Prithvi to go to him and while Kripa still stood on the stairs and Zaib was walking inside; a trademark long, sizzling A-K look followed, before Angad whipped his head around and strode away.
Fast-forwarding a little we were shown Kripa looking around her; apparently trying to locate something or just one certain someone; I might say, when the man of the hour himself came up from behind her and unperturbedly asked her, "Tumhari aankhein kahin mujhey tou nahin dhoondh rahin?" Prompting Kripa to spin around and tell him disdainfully that she had no reason to be looking for him and then remarked that he looked tense. To which Angad replied why would he be tense? And she replied that you know why. And the verbal tennis match continued like this thus, with both of them lobbing the conversational ball to and fro at each other rapidly; each trying to get the better of the other.
But when he sai quietly, (and almost with a note of quiet pleading in his voice??? Or was it just my wishful thinking working overtime again) that you won't do it. I actually wanted to jump into my TV screen and tell her not to do it; but our Krips powers of perception remained as tuned out as ever and she told him that yes, she would. And when Angad told her very somberly that she wouldn't like it, it set off alarm bells in my mind but poor Kripa unfortunately refused to pick up the hint and simply told him that not only would she like it but she would do it tonight in front of everyone. So saying, she walked away; while Angad looked at her retreating back with a worried look on her face….and now that I know that the brief concerned look wasn't for himself but at what Kripa's stubbornness would do to her; I think it's kind of sweet how each of them is always trying to strike out at the other and yet are the first ones to flinch at the thought of the pain they are going to inflict. Sigh!
But Daadi had apparently overheard Kripa's plan and went after her to warn her about the advisability of such a plan and told her that Angad had simply confirmed what she had known all along; that he loved her; but Kripa disregarded even Daadi's gently cautioning and went ahead and gave the tape to the DJ anyway, and after all that all hell broke loose!
For Angad had indeed been busy at work, editing the tape so that it sounded extremely incriminating for Kripa as her voice suddenly blared out from the speakers, magnified manifold and saying only the parts where she'd admitted that she still loved Angad, " I love you Angad. Mai nai sirf Angad sai hi pyar kiya hai aur sirf ussi sai pyar karti rahoongi. I love you Angad!"
The bombshell having been dropped and her little plan having exploded right in her face; Kripa could only stand there, rendered completely speechless, while everybody else simply looked on in a state of utter and complete shock. The guests made a beeline for the door and Zaib stood there smirking at Kripa; all former apprehensions apparently having fled clear through the window. Mishty came running towards him and pretty much made to lunge at Kripa but was stopped by Zaib who calmly told her to go look after Prithvi. She went and Kripa made to go towards Angad; but he simply flashed her a really satisfied smile and strolled away, leaving Kripa crying her pretty eyes out.
The third set started with Prithvi standing looking sightlessly out of a window, lost in his own web of pain, when Kripa went up to him and sobbing and shaking him, told him to say something. And Prithvi turning towards asked her in an anguished voice that what was his love lacking that she still couldn't forget Angad? Kripa tried to protest about her innocence and cried out in distress that it wasn't like that; but Prithvi simply turned away and asked her that who had she been saying all this stuff to?….Zaib! Damini also came to comfort Prithvi, looking like she would like to eat up Kripa and Kripa's fervent protestations of blamelessness fell on deaf ears. (Omg! This is what will lead up to what the horrible Sony previews that they have been so blatantly announcing. Sigh! I've got a really sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach…..this is not going to bode well for anyone!!!)
Cut to Kripa going to Angad and grabbing him by his collar, calling him a cheat, a liar and accusing him of having switched the tapes when Mishty came and flailed up at Kripa, screaming at her that the only cheat around was Kripa herself because she still loved Angad and not her own husband. (My feeling of impending doom deepens!!!) And what did it matter if the tapes had been switched; it was still her voice saying all that. And then spat out that Kripa had better stay away from Zaib. So saying, she stalked out of the room in a huff, followed by Angad; but not before he had drawn level with Kripa and sneered right in her face! And for all his laughing disdain; I hardly think it escaped anyone's attention about how his jaw tightened when it was Mishty who had been doing the insulting. Exclusive rights and all, you know.
Damini came up to Kripa and ripped into her about her causing nothing but trouble and pain for Prithvi and then Mishty and Zaib were shown standing on the stairs while Zaib said that he felt bad for Prithvi and Mishty said angrily that it was all Kripa's fault. But Zaib told her to forget about Kripa right now; as they ought to be concentrating on Prithvi.
So the two of them went to Prithvi and Mishty gently told him to go rest in his room; but Zaib reminded her that he didn't think that Prithvi would want to be in 'his room' tonight. (Or any other night either. God! Plzzzzzzzzzzz!!!) Btw, was it just me or was there a faintly triumphant air about Angad when he said that. Anyways, Angad said that he would call his driver and take Prithvi to his house where he could rest undisturbed.
Prithvi however seemed to have taken a vow of silence and remained quite while they both were talking to him and then when Zaib and Mishty went away and Kripa came up to him later, he simply turned and walked away, leaving Kripa to cry dejectedly.
Sigh! Lesson for you Krips; when you play with fire; you get burnt! But this girl just does not learn that Angad is always on to her many little games that she likes to indulge in with him; and always so easily thwarts them; usually resulting in her making a fool out of her too.
And what can I say about Kripa's faulty logic that prompted this whole little charade in the first place; it has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese, I swear. But just like the bigger the holes in a Swiss cheese, the more pronounced its flavor….so the bigger the gaping holes are in Krips reasoning; the more pronounced is the fact that its just a load of bull!!! She loves Angad and for just that one instance; let down her guard a bit and finally admitted to him what her heart had been clamoring to reveal all along. And so okay, even if we believe that she really did do all that to shatter Zaib's fake guise and protect her family from harm; then the means that she chose would only have resulted in humiliating her beloved hubby publicly…….she does after all admit that she has always and still does, love only Angad and has never been able to bring herself to regard Prithvi as anything other than a platonic friend…………………and how I wish and hope and pray that the status quo remains the same, because first the new previews and now today's episode, have left me feeling appalled, revolted, aghast, repulsed, disgusted, sickened and just plain horror-struck.
How can Kripa do this??? Wanting to get back at Angad is one thing but deliberately sleeping with Prithvi just to annoy him?????? My God! I'm soooooo disappointed in her…..even when she sent Angad to jail w/o any justification; I was able to overlook it, with difficulty of course, but I managed to convince myself that the thought of her one true love being unfaithful had completely messed up her brain, resulting in her unintentional miscarriage of justice. But this time around I'm just too dismayed for words, because this time her very real infidelity (and yes; that is how I view Kripa's disgusting act) will make Angad's supposed one completely pale in comparison. Omg!!! Can you imagine Angoo baby's utter anguish when he finds out what his beloved did??? Yech! I can't even think about it without fear of bursting into tears.
Sigh! Having thus vented my extreme ire; I cannot help but feel that knowing how stubborn Krips can be and knowing her strong (somewhat distorted I agree, but strong nevertheless) notions of right and wrong; her actually admitting to Angad that she does love him is probably what will drive her to Prithvi. Because she's sure to now think after everything that has just transpired that she has somehow betrayed Prithvi by breaking down and confessing her love to Angad. And her way of making up to him will probably be what is sure to induce many heart attacks all around indeed. Sigh! What fools these mortals be!
It's going to tear Angad apart completely, rip his already bruised and battered heart into little pieces of sheer torment…..and it's going to tear them apart and then after Prithvi's demise, its going to leave them at loggerheads for practically forever…….Sigh! I don't mind that; I'm willing to take anything as long as they don't show Kripa consummating her sham of a marriage. Sigh! But happen it will, I guess. My peace of mind fled forever from the day I started watching kyph, and the purported twist is absolutely killing me, I tell you. So bring out the smelling salts and the Kleenex, ladies…..trouble seems to be well and truly on its way!
But if you guys believe in meditating on positive things, then I'll leave you with a little quote that I've personally always found to be very true despite, or perhaps because, of its utter simplicity…… "After the darkest hour comes the dawn!"……….so no matter how bad things might seem at the present; A-K's problems will too be over one day and become no more then a dark speck on the horizon of their past. Of course we'll all be gray and old by that time probably; but hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and all that, you know. (Sheesh! Somewhere Emily Dickinson is probably turning over in her grave at my complete mangling of her beautiful little poem) but like Thomas Fuller put it so poignantly, "If it were not for hopes, the heart would break." So all we can do is hope and hope and hope…………..

P.s. Btw, have you guys seen the new Neal 'n' Nikki promo for kyph……where they both are lying down and suddenly Nikki asked Neal, "Neal; how many girlfriends do you think does Angad have?" and Neal after pondering on it for a moment, replied, "He's quite a rockstar. Hmm! I'd say 69!"
And Nikki said, "No! There's only one….Kripa! She's his true love, you know."
As you can see, I've taken to cute little things like these to provide me with solace over what's actually happening in kyph. Sigh!
