Hiya, folks! And how are you all today? Hope everybody is doing great. I missed you all so, so much. My stupid computer crashed, so I've have been away for quite a while.

Oh sweet heaven. Today's episode was simply mind-blowing. My God, what just happened today? Absolutely electrifying Zaib-Kripa scene!!! I'm still reeling from the impact. Even my sister, whom I forced to watch the show a couple of times with me when my computer was down, simply so I could have somebody else to appreciate such a fine show along with me, but who's as cynical as they come, and pretty much spent the entire time ticking me off by ridiculing every possible aspect of the show, (so I spent half the time going "No! No! No!" at her, and the other half going, "No! No! No!" at all the Zaib and Mishty up, close and personal scenes. Sigh!), admitted today that these two hopeless cases were meant to be together. Hehe! I'm taking this as a positive sign, at least she's acknowledged that these two are soul mates, so I guess I'll make a kyph fan out of her yet.

But it is so sad to see the gut wrenching agony that both of them live through every second of every day. And today was the ultimate. Hai, Angad. You can get your tattoo surgically removed, you can take refuge in your conviction of being wronged, you can promise retribution for all those who let you down, but how will you ever escape the fact that your heart was claimed totally, completely and irrevocably, by a guileless girl a long time ago and is forever hers for the keeping.

A-K's love overwhelms me. You always hear about everlasting love; love that survives the highest highs and the lowest lows, the chasms of separation and the pain of betrayal, but in A-K's case we actually get to see it. These two prove with a bang the saying that the people we love the most also have it in their power to hurt us the most. But at the same time, they also show us the enduring power of their love, a love that is pure and undying and everlasting.

I'm just pretty much still in a frenzy over THE scene today. My god! The blaze that leapt up as effortlessly as ever was truly a sight to behold . . . I have only two words for the A/Z-K up, close and personal scenes…Spontaneous Combustion!!! The whole Z-M thing is just too slick, too overtly in your face. It's Zaib at his prime, ruthlessly and calculatingly, ensnaring Mishty in his trap, because all she's ever going to be is a pawn in his intricate game of avenging himself.

Anyways, moving on to today's heart stopping and breathtaking episode.

Zaib seems to have taken it upon himself to demonstrate with great zeal, for all to see, exactly how a modern day Casanova is supposed to go about his business, and today made yet another great leap in his master plan of ensnaring Mishty completely in his spell by wooing her in a completely secluded restaurant, booked specifically for the purpose of melting away her resistance completely. Sigh! Don't blame her though; what's a girl to do when she finds herself the focus of such a fine male specimen's unrelenting and persistent attentions. But still, the up, close and personal scenes have got to stop, if I'm ever to regain my peace of mind. Case in point being the scene when both of them are dancing, cheek to cheek, no less. Humph! And Zaib goes, "Mera tumharay itnay kareeb aakar, duur jaana theek ho ga kya." In two words, "Hell, yeah" a word of advise sweetie, down boy, you've already got her where you want her, so you can stop hitting her over the head with your many, many charms.

But Krips, our lady in red, as usual refused to let these two out of her sight. Btw, it is so good to have her back, I totally missed her when she was gone and I definitely feel much better about the whole relentless pursuit of Mishty by Zaib when we have Kripa standing between the two of them like the Great Wall of China. It is totally reassuring to see her lurking behind bushes and peeping around corners to keep an eye on things. At least, I felt reassured that she wouldn't let things get too out of hand. Today however seems to have changed things a bit. But Kripa's stubborn, if she's anything and will definitely not back down even after the nerve shattering encounter today. Hmm! The stakes have just been raised considerably in this game that our two protagonists are involved in so stealthily. Can't wait to watch what happens next.

So anyway, Kripa turns up with a hired actress to play Zaib's girlfriend, in tow. And the fact that the woman was old enough to his mom simply seemed to elude everybody. For heaven sakes people!!! As per the plan, the waiter comes to call away Zaib and as soon as Zaib reaches the reception, the woman flings herself at him. He angrily fends off her advances and comes back to a visibly troubled Mishty, who wants to know who the woman was and on being told that it was some unknown crazy lady, is hesitant to believe him and enquires that if she was unknown to him then why was she crying like that? Zaib brushes off these queries and goes away for a bit on some pretext or other, very expediently leaving behind his cell phone, in full sight of Mishty, on the table.

Cut to a smirking Kripa being handed a cell phone and sending a message to Zaib's cell which of course just has to be read by Mishty and which very handily has the following content, "Ghar par tumharay intezaar karoongi. Sorry tumhay disturb kiya. Please jaldi aana." Eew!

The second set opens with Zaib and Mishty in a car park when Mishty, giving free reign to the Sherlock Holmes inside her, suddenly announced that she wanted coffee and how about going to his place, slightly taking aback Zaib, who asked, "Mera Ghar? Are you sure?" and was answered in the affirmative by Mishty, who simply held out her hand for his car key's and both of them drive off towards' Zaib's home where a lovely surprise was awaiting the two of them. For as soon as they entered the house, who should come bounding down the stairs, but the elderly femme fatale hired by Kripa. Mishty's worst fear was confirmed after seeing the woman fling herself yet again at Zaib and reassuring him that she didn't even care about the 'other woman' (Mishty) as long as he was, Ahem! Ahem! , ready to spend all his nights with her. Say it with me everyone, "Eeeeeeew!!!"

Mishty finally had enough and when a taken aback Zaib tried to explain to her that he had no idea who the crazy lady was, she let loose at him, telling him to shut up and scathingly telling him that he was nothing but a flirt and how she had been mistaken in falling for him, so much so that she was even considering ending her engagement and how she hadn't paid heed to everybody's warnings, particularly Kripa's, that he was nothing but a flirt. And storms off and at this moment, Kripa decides to reveal her presence.

I loved Zaib's reaction to Kripa's presence, didn't so much as blink an eye, stating calmly that, oh it's you, almost as if he had been anticipating such a move. And then asks her very innocently why she was trying to do this, giving Kripa the perfect excuse to launch into one of her long winded sermons, chronicling Angad's many alleged shortcomings, before finally asking him that how could he fall so low as to pursue his own brother's fiance, so unashamedly. However, Zaib has finally had enough and says, "Bas Karo!!!" he tells her to stop it, promising to unmask her as the perpetrator in front of Mishty and demanded to know why she'd done it and guys, killer scene, not breaking eye contact and with the new funky kyph tune playing in the background, Krips replies and I quote, "Tum jo Mishty kay saath kartay ho, wo mujhey bilkul bhi pasand nahin." (Sigh! She's calls it concern as Mishty's friend and sis-in-law. I call it green-eyed, unconscious jealousy-pure and simple. Hehe.) And in response, prompting Zaib to retort, "Really! Phir tumhay kya pasand hai? Kay Mishty ki jaga tum meri bahoon mai aao, Ms Kripa Bose." My. My. Well can't say about her at the moment, Zaib sweetie, but I definitely speak for a lot of us I know, when I answer, Yes! We all would like nothing more from you two. Ha-ha!

Our prim and proper Krips however is suitably outraged at such a preposterous (?) suggestion and after telling him something to the effect of, in your dreams, flounces off but an infuriated Zaib cuts in front of and goes and slams shut the front door and blocks her exit. The third set opened with a panicked Kripa demanding to know as to what the hell was he doing and him replying very crudely and callously that since she drove Mishty away, so she could simply take her place in what had been about to happen between them. Zaib gripped a furiously struggling Kripa by the shoulders and flings off her dupatta and at this point; I simply toppled off my couch from my precarious perch on its edge. Kripa feverishly tried to shake herself free, with tears streaming down her face and her mouth agape with shock. Gasping and sobbing and trying to get away.

But all of A/Z's anger and pain seemed to have risen to the surface and he held her captive in his blind rage, saying, I think, that since you seem so fond of calling me Angad, I'm going to make sure that you never take my name gain, and leans in real close, as if to kiss her, while Kripa writhes in protest. And then suddenly, he lets her go, telling her that even touching her disgusted him. Basically, Angad lashing out at her, trying to hurt her as deeply as she had hurt him and told her that she paled completely in front of Mishty's beauty. He said that while Mishty was 'Aag' (Fire) she was "Thandi baraf" (cold ice), because she left him completely cold. Yeah sweetie and I am the queen of England. Sigh! However many more rounds of these poisonous lashing outs at each other??? Poor babies, both of them suffer at the hands of the other and when they themselves inflict pain on the other.

Kripa finally manages to free herself and as she makes to get away from him, her shirt catches on a doorjamb or something and tears, halting her progress. And as she stood there, shuddering and gasping and quietly sobbing, Zaib came to her and handed her back her dupatta and then almost as if against his conscious attention, he took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. And I found it so endearingly touching, the way he almost unconsciously made those little loving gestures of pulling the lapels of the jacket together and smoothing back her hair so tenderly. Sigh! True love.

But then the spell is broken and he told her that the next time she decided to make an enemy; it would be better if she didn't go to their houses to give them warnings and then finally tells her to get out. Kripa stumbled out, but then stopped and spat out that she hated him. To which Zaib replied, that 'mai bhi tum say nafrat karta hoon, itni nafrat kai tum soch bhi nahin sakti.' And then having slammed the door in her face, slumped against it and asked himself almost despairingly, that I hate you so much, yet why does my heart still ache for you? Sniff! Sniff! The amount of tears I shed over these two, I tell you. And then while Kripa is standing outside and Zaib is slumped in misery inside, both of them are recalling what had just happened with tears in their eyes while one of the sad songs of the show was playing in the background. Btw, kudos to the lyricists, they always manage to come up with such lovely and apt lyrics. The episode ended at this point and the preview for tomorrow showed Mishty is yellow bridal attire and Zaib going into her room and ignoring her 'what are you doing here?' going up to her and kissing away her tears. Humph!

As a female and as a feminist, I object to Zaib's behavior with Kripa. No man, no matter how wronged, has the right to trespass on a woman's dignity and honor in this way. But this case is kind of an exception to the rule, for this is not some random guy harassing some random girl. These are two people, joined together by a bittersweet bond of love. A love that is the very essence and core of their being. A love that is the energy that sustains who and what they are. A love that draws them to each no matter what the circumstances.

And in Zaib's actions, what shone through was his utter vulnerability, his anguish, his feeling of betrayal and more than anything, the love that refuses to be extinguished by even the most trying conditions.

This is what a love story is all about; passionate, gripping, spellbinding. Leaving you feeling enthralled and in awe of such a powerful and enduring love.

So the saga of Angad/Zaib and Kripa continues on and on, sometimes sweet, often painful, but always achingly heart rending. Sigh! I wonder what's coming up next?

Take care everyone!

Loads of love,

Amal

wow Amal, what a dissection. All posts in one. 👏 👏 👏 You have analysed the episode well.

We are we but mere mortals to judge which one of the two deserve the punishment - they are punishing each other by staying away from each other. And you have explained that beautifully above.

Great post

Love
