I think its beacuse of his character, and the way he has played it. Looks are secondary, but they have certainly made him look the scene stealer, the perfect hero.

His character reminds me quite a lot of Fitzwilliam Darcy in 'Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen- my favourite book. (Tip- Do read it, you'll see the situation is quite similar to the earlier Kahiin To Hoga. Ekta just added some masala to it.)
