hey eveybody! i know i porimsed all of you that there would be a huge twist in this chapter, but i haven't gotten round to writing it up yet..sorry for this short update lekin this is all i had time for. This is just a part of the chapter and i'll post the other parts later...the twist will come in the next 2 or 3 updates I suppose! 😳
Chapter. 60
"OK ok! So I called all of you here because me and Mallishka have something to announce"
Pranay stood in the middle of the hall and announced with mallihska by his side.
P: Mom, dad…
M: aap…woh…
P: mallishka just say it!
M: you say it Pranay!
P: fine…app…woh…ummm
M: see! Even you cant say that!
Adi: oh for god's sake someone say it!
P: chup ha adi!
Mall: mom, dad, app dono dada dadi ban ne ja rahe hai..
Shikhar+Mayuri: what!!
The room filled with happiness and everyone was hugging Mallishka and congratulating Pranay
Mai: wow di! You're pregnant!
T: finally! So I'm not going to be the youngest in the family anymore!
Shikhar: we definitely have to celebrate this in a grand way! Humara ghar ka pehla baccha aane wala hai!
B: that's right dad!I we should have a grand party tonight!
T: tum theek kehrahe ho…Dad, hum dono party ke saare arrangements karne ja rahe hai…bye everybody!

Maithili stood in front of her wardrobe staring at the many dresses and saris she had
A: kya hua? Jaldi tayaar ho jao na..we have to go in 20 minutes
M: adi…help me na…I don't konw what to wear…
A: hmmm…you should wear red…
M: red? But I don't have any red saari
A: koi baat nahi…wear this one..
He spoke taking out a box from behind him and placing it in front of her.
Her eyes lit as she opened the box; there lay a beautiful red sari with silver embroidery and silver border upon it.
M: its…beautiful!
A: It'll look better once you wear it
He kissed her brow and left.

The party was on in full swing! Everyone came and congratulated Mallishka and Pranay as they came in. A huge bouquet of flowers came into the hall with a note attached to it
Pranay noticed it come in and looked at it
Mallishka: wow! That's the biggest bouquet I've ever seen!
P: I know! There's a note here…it says…
To the Mehra Parivaar…hope your days of happiness last 100 years…
M: aww! That's so sweet! But who sent it?
P: no idea!
A: hey bro, whats up? Adi came to Pranya and Mallishka. He stared at the bouquet and the writing on the card
P: adi, do you know who sent this?
A: huh?…uh…no…he spoke worriedly and went away from there.
His phone rang and he picked it up
A: what's all this?
*: what? I was simply congratulating you and your family for this happiness!
A: shut up! You know you have no right to…
*: shayad tum bhool rahe ho adi, I have evey right to! She spoke cutting into his sentence
A: garima! Just shut up.
The person on the other side is shown…its Garima
G: adi, I'm on your terrace…come and meet me quickly
A: what?? Gairma I told ou never to come to my house!
G: I need..
A: how much more? He brashly questioned her
G: patience my love…
He gritted his teeth and cut the call
Garima grinned as she sat on the bench on the terrace
Adi looked around to make sure no one was looking and went up the stairs to the terrace
"Mallishka di, have you seen adi anywhere?" Maithili iquestioned
Mall: yeah, I think he went upstairs...
M: thanks di
Maitihli smiled and went up the stairs I wonder what he's doing upstairs she thought peculiarly
Adi opened the terrace door and came in. He saw garima seated on the bench and closed his eyes to compose his anger
A: what is it? why are you here?
G: don't pretend as if you don't know!
Garima walked closer to him
A: how much do you need? He asked turning his head away from her
G: adi! It hurts…why can't you just look at me and speak? She spoke holding his chin and turning his head round
A: don't lie…I know you don't love me or anything..
She looked at him seething: you're right! It doesn't hurt…both of us know it…I'm only here for the money!
The terrace door creaked open and Maithili stood looking at adi and Garima
A: how much? Just tell me and I'll give it to you
G: it's a big amount this time…50 lacks
A; what?? Are you crazy? How can I arrange so much money for you
G: its not for me! Its for…
A: just shut up! I know its for you! I already gave you money last time, now what?
G: all I'm asking you for is money! You can't even give me that! I'm not asking you for a place in this house am I? I'm not asking you to marry me am I?
Maithili stood shocked at the door and slowly walked towards them
G: all I'm asking you for, is to give money for you're child!
Maithili's feet stopped moving and she froze right there.
Garima had seen her and stopped immeditly with a mortified look on her face
A: what happened? Adi asked as he turned round to look at where garima looked
He stood shocked as well… "Maithili…" he whispered her name
A: Maithili…he came closer to her but she stopped him with her hand..
M: whats goingon here? She silently questioned
A: its nothing…i..
M: I'm not asking you…she seethed as she looked at him and turned to garima
G: i…woh..I'm pregnant…with adi's child
That was it for maithili…she couldn't hear past that, she couldn't see past that. her whole world came crashing down the moment she heard that sentence.
Adi stood panicked at garima and Maithili… he knew she would find out, but just not this soon..
A: she's lying Maithili!
Garima looked shocked at adi and then at Maithili
G: I'm telling the truth! I'm 3 months pregnant with adi's child!
A: stop lying garima!
G: you stop lying! You low life! How low can you stoop! At least don't lie to your wife!
Maithili looked angrily at Garima
M: if adi says you're lying, then you're lying! I don't want to hear anything else! Just get out now!
Adi felt an imence pang of sorrow at what Maithili said…how could she trust him so much? And here he was, lying to her
A: Maithili…she's right…i…
Maithili stopped and looked at adi. Tears streamed uncontrollably from her eyes
A: i..
M: don't touch me! She shouted as adi's hand touched her cheek
A: Maithili..
M: I don't want to hear anything! She ran out of the terrace and into her room.
Adi looked angrly at garima
A: look what you've done! He shouted
G: she was going to find out some day or the other!
Adi stormed out of the room to find Maithili leaving garima behind in the terrace
Garima stared at the both of them and smiled… "adi, tu toh gaya…" she laughed evily at this and left.
