Ishaan SHivangi marriage invalid

Is there any member who is a law student/lawyer and can confirm if Ishan's marriage to Shivangi is invalid?

I think a forced marriage or a marriage through deception( the way Ishan pretended to be the Ashu) are considered invalid by the court.So finally Ishan is neither married to Gauri nor to Shivangi.How come Rishika and Ashu -both connected to law - dont think of this simple thing when presenting their case?It should have been easy to prove Ishan deceived Shivangi - the marriage invitation cards, Ashu's testimony, testimony of all the other involved persons, and most importantly, Shivangi's testimony should have been enough to prove that Ishan cheated Sihvangi and so the marriage would have been declared void. Sigh...... Ekta's creatives need to do some thinking before writing arbid scripts!

you are correct the marriage is invalid and shivangi could file for annulment, she doesnt even need to divorce ishaan, an annulment will be like the marriage never happened

Not only is this marriage invalid, but so is his marriage to Gauri, considering that all he did was put sindoor on her head - no phere, no court registration etc. The ceremony was not complete even then.

But in that case, half the marriages on these shows are illegal or invalid - marrying a second man when your hubby is alive = bigamy: Prerna, marrying Anurag; Suyash marrying Paro when Rajo was alive (doesn't look like their marriage was ever officially ended ). Karan having two wives, Tanya & Nandini, at the same time (though I suppose that in India, a man can have two wives if neither objects to it, as per the law 😕 ). If marrying through deception is wrong for Ishan, then it is also wrong for Eklavya in Kyunki, Garima in Kahaani and any other character who has been wrongfully and unwillingly dragged into matrimony 😆 There would be a LOT of court cases going on right now if these innaccuracies were called upon.

Yes you are all right. The reason I pointed out this particular case is that everyone was in court fighting about the legal validity of Ishan's marriage to Shivangi, saying he already had a wife.Didnt it strike Rishika that a) marriage to a mentally unstable person was anyway invalid so Gauri couldnt be the first wife, not in a court, even though maybe acc to our traditions she was married and b)use the same point against Ishan, and say his marriage to Shivangi was anyway invalid because he conned her into getting married. In all other soaps, the problem is more about winning back the husband or seeing right trimph over evil etc. IN this incident the whole episode was all about proving the legality of the wedding - with a "never lost a case" Rishika, and Shotgun Ashu on Parvati's side!:) Anyway, as all of you pointed out, anything is fair in love and Kekta land!

Take any ekta seriel, its the negative characters who comes up with better plans and back up plans and protections covers. And ppl like parvathi, who has so much of experience still just keeps screaming 'nahin yeh meri beti nahin hain, ye jhoot keh rahi hain om' and stuff instead of trying to prove it. I cant believe sometimes parvati even tries to give explanations to CHAYA 😆 ...

In Ekta's seriels, as long as a character remains negative, she/he comes out with better plans and uses their brains better...but the moment they turn positive, they lose their common sense and intelligence as well i guess 😆 ...So since Rishiki is supposed to be positive now, i guess shes forgotten law even 😆 !

Take the case of Parvathi, when she was pissed with Agarwal family and came back as Janki to teach them a lesson, all her plans were fool proof till the end, and even if someone tried to outsmart her, she always had a back up plan and stuff. And now, the only thing she does is 'nahin, maine yeh nahin kiya om, mera vishwas karo' and stuff. Y cant she come back to the same mode of thinking and action whenever there is a problem?! She has changed her dressing mode to Janki, then y cant she think and act also in the same manner? I think dealing with problems being Janki gives better results than old Parvathi!

Itas soo stupid that Parvati came to janki mode while looking for saasha, she just needed brain like her not dress like JD
