Destiny Part-6

Days came days passed. Maithali's obsession of Jatin only increased. She could feel it, she knew it - - it was LOVE, yes love, her first love. She had also made up her mind that it would be the last. It was true that she was only 14, and far too young to understand the meaning of love, but whatever it was it meant the whole world to her. Perhaps it was, or not, who knew.

Metz – Tanu beta crunch time… exams are coming up fast.

Tanu – Ugh! Why did you have to remind be baba. Pehle kya kamm tension hai.

Metz – Hmm! You are right.

Tanu – Mere to math ne naak mein damm kar rakha hai, tujhe kis baat ki tension?

Metz – Kuch nahin tanu to chodd na.

Tanu - Are aise kaise. Kuch to hai, ab bata bhi de yaar.

Metz - Tanu abhi nahin baad mein. Abhi mujhe library jaana hai, so, I'll catch up with you after school.

Finishing up her sentence, Metz left a thoughtful Tanu behind. Tanu had noticed the change in Metz, and boy it was drastic one. The usually chirpy Metz, now was often seen lost in her thoughts, listening to romantic songs, gazing into the nothingness of the deep blue sky.

Metz strolled down the parking lot and made her way to the library. There was no doubt that Metz loved to read, but the school library was the last place that she wanted to be at. It was a very grim and dark. Metz absolutely hated stepping in there, but she had no choice. Her research project was due tomorrow and what better place to finish it other than the library.

She let out a sigh as took a seat in the secluded corner of the library and laid down her books and laptop on the table. Soon, she was immersed in her project. She was so aloof from her surroundings that she failed to notice Jatin sitting diagonal to her on an adjacent table.

It had been a while since Adi was noticing this girl. There was something unnatural about her, almost magnet like, which attracted Adi to her. He wasn't sure if he liked her, but he was certainly fascinated by her. He adored the way she carried herself, oh he liked everything. This feeling was very strange for the great Aditya Mehra. He never intended to give any girl so much attention, nor had he ever, up until the point Maithli Khanna came along. "Oye Adi, Where you lost man?" gabbed Bharat as he tried to break Adi from his stance. God he had been lost in his world for what seemed forever thought Bharat. He didn't know what was taking over his friend. Whatever it was, Bharat made a point to find out sooner or later.

When Adi didn't respond, Bharat decided to jolt him. This time it worked. Adi's "jogi" stance was broken.

Bharat- Adi, What the heck is wrong with you man?

Adi- What do you mean what is wrong with me?

Bharat- Yeah right! Dude you dun seem to know where you lost nowadays?

Adi - Whatcha mean where I'm lost? Just say what you wanna say?

The problem was Bharat didn't quite know what was up yet so it was better for them that the topic be changed before they got into a heated argument. Both Bharat and Adi were graduating this year, so he decided to bring up the topic.

Bharat- Nuthin' man just chill. So tell me who you taking to the prom this year?

Adi- Uhh ummm I haven't though yet.

Bharat- WHAT!! You kidding me right?

Adi replied back with the same enthusiasm and yelled back,"NO I DON'T KNOW WHO I'M TAKING TO THE PROM THIS YEAR".

This sudden outburst of Adi's had caught Maithali's eye. She had finally acknowledged his presence in the room. "What-Prom-Graduating-No-No-No." As this broken link of thoughts raged through Maithli's mind, the librarian escorted both Adi and Bharat out of the library for disrupting the peace. Before leaving Adi gave a quick look to Metz who infact had caught his eye…..

Oy hoi!! They looked at each other. 😉 I wonder who he's gonna take to the prom. Muhahahaha! 😆 That was a good part. Liking Bharat n Tanu as the side friends. AM were also cute, having obsessions with each other, but not quite knowing what they are feeling. 😆
