Chapter 30
Maithili lay in bed thinking of all the times she spent with Adi. All the times he made her cry and all the times he made her laugh. She hated seeing him with other girls, it was something she felt a lot earlier and only realized it today. She got up and sighed as if by doing so, she would sigh away all her troubles.

She walked out of her room and into tannu's room.
M; tanu…
She slowly shook her sister..
T: bharat chodo na!!
Tannu muttered..
At this moment maithili was horrified..
M: tannu!! She shouted..
Tannu jolted up..
T: oh di aap…I thought it was bharat..
M: bharat comes here at night!?!?
T: uh..no…yes..i mean yes..he comes here to bug me for homework..
Maihtili sighed..: oh.. i..i thought it was something else..
Tannu yawned and stretched..
T: what do you want di?
M: umm…a little help..
T: ohhh!!! You need help from me!!
M: shut-up tannu!!
T: ok ok! Carry on..
M; umm..i don't like seeing girls hanging round Adi..what does this mean..
T: umm…I don't know..?? you don't want him to have a social life..??

Tannu dropped her jaw open and stared at maithili..

The next day in college, maithili acted as if nothing bothered her…she didn't speak at all during rehearsals and wouldn't even meet adi's eyes. Adi got very annoyed by this..

What's happening to me?? Concentrate you fool!!
Adi thought while dancing…but he couldn't…he couldn't stop staring at her eyes and getting lost in them…he felt excitement even if she looked into his eyes once...but felt annoyed if she averted her gaze away from his.

Stupid girl!!! He scolded her in his mind… na jaane kya jaado karti hai!! Witch!!

Later in the canteen. Maithili sat next to Karan and started flirting with him.
K: woah mets…what's happened to you?
M; what's happened to me? She questioned nonchalantly
K: normally you don't flirt back..
M: so you agree your flirting with me?
K: i…maybe..
M: well maybe I might be liking it..
Saying so maithili got up and went away.
Karan grinned at Adi..
K: I've got her man!!
A: oohh no you haven't!!!
K: what?
A: did I just say that out loud?
K: yes..
A: oh…

After college, Adi sat on his bike and a tall slim girl sat behind him. Adi smiled sarcastically at Maithili waiting for her to yell at him, but she just didn't…she simply held Karan's hand…
Adi clenched his fist at this..
M: umm karan…can you drop me home please?
K: of course maithili!
Adi glared at Karan but Karan ignored that.
Maithili returned the sarcastic smile at Adi and sat on the end of Karan's bike.
A: wait wait!!
Adi yelled before karan started his bike..
A: array karan..i just realized something!…Nisha, behind me, lives very close to your house! And maithili lives opposite me..
So I think you should drop Nisha and me drop maithili…howz that??

And without even waiting for Karan to answer and Maithili to protest Adi pulled maithili's hand towards him.
Nisha grunted and got on Karan's bike and maithili glared at Adi and got on his bike.
Karan drove off and adi started revving his engine..
A: hold on tight!!
M: oh puh-lease…
But before maithili could finish her sentence, she had to grab on to adi for her life…the bike started raging and speeding.
Maithili clutched Aid as tightly as she could and leaned her head on his back all through the ride home.
A: madam!! Ghar aagaya!
Maithili slowly opened her eyes and shook her head to settle her vision.
M: huh…maithili slowly spoke as she went to her house.
Adi held her dupatta and it slid off her.
She quickly turned round and held it before it would completely fall off.
M; what are you doing??
adi slowly pulled the dupatta, making maithili come closer to him.
A: I don't get a kiss good-bye?
Maithili frowned and raised her eyebrow..
M: do you want a slap good-bye?
She questioned with equal sarcasm..
A: I'd prefer the kiss
M: I'd prefer the slap!
A: ok! Adi said tapping maithili's cheek.
M: OMG!! Did you just slap me???
A: no I tapped you!
M: no that was a slap!!!
A: tap!
M; slap!!
A: tap!!
M: STOP!!!
A: you said you preferred a slap anyways!!
M: i…urgh!!!! You!! get out!! Go away right now!!
A: ok…
Adi said innocently and kissed maithili's cheek.
He winked and went away leaving maithili standing alone pondering over what adi had just done.

Later at night, maithili sat in her room brushing her hair. She heard strange giggling noises.
She went downstairs and into the back garden and looked in disgust as she saw Adi kissing a girl.
M: you!!!!!
Maithili said charging at both of them
The girl stepped back bemused
M: sonia!!! Maithili said shocked as she looked at her friend.
Adi grinned as he saw maithili's shocked face..
M: you!!! maithili said beginning to hit adi.
A: ow ow ow! Stop it!!!
Adi grabbed maithili by her shoulders and looked right in her eyes.
S: umm…I think I should go now!
Sonia said running away.
M: you!! why did you do that!!
A: do what? Adi said innocently but still staring into her eyes
M: you purposely kissed sonia in front of me!!
A: yes I did any problem?
M: yes!!! You!!! just the whole thing is the problem!!! You're messing with her feelings because of me!!
A: oh and what are you doing to Karan?? Messing with his feelings because of me!!
M: i…I am not!!
A: oh yes you are!!
M: no!!
A: yes!!
M: forget it!!!
Maithili said as she turned round ot leave, but adi held her hand and pulled her close to him
A: no..
M: what?
A: I won't forget it!
Maithili looked into his eyes confused..
A: I can't forget yo maithili!…you are so…
Adi came closer to maithili's face, his nose touched hers, his forehead touched hers. He slowly caressed her cheek with his nose and his lips brushed her ear…
