New twist to old Kahaani…

After three years, Prabhat Bhattacharya is back for Round Two with Balaji Telefilms, past grievances forgiven and forgotten

Prabhat Bhattacharya has buried the hatchet with Balaji Telefilms after three years. Leaving the past behind, the actor has been roped in one of the important characters in Balaji's upcoming show Kasturi. The actor whose claim to fame was the role of Ajay Agarwal in Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is rejoicing his comeback into the Ekta camp. Needless to say, Prabhat is gung-ho about his comeback vehicle. "I have been told that I am playing one of the key characters in the show. It's a character who is torn between his obligations to the family and his wife. My character will give a new twist to the story," he says.

When the actor was doing Kahaani…, he was replaced without any notice. Later, his character was retrieved only to give way to a sudden death. Prabhat last shot for Kahaani… in April 2003 and his association with Balaji came to an abrupt, controversial end. In all this years, he acted in several shows like Kumkum, Kabhi Aaye Na Judaai and others. But, he never regained his star status. Prabhat wants to forget his past and wants to move on in life. "I remember those days, when I was replaced without even prior notice on the pretext that I am unable to act. Later, Ajay's character became one of the most popular characters of Kahaani… Ekta never had a problem with me; it's the ever-changing creative teams. But, I guess, life is calling me now and I am all game for it," says Prabhat.

Prabhat maintains that Ekta always had maintained good relationship with him. "Ekta always called me for her parties and I am still in touch with all my Kahaani… friends. From Saakshi to Ali, everyone is still a part of my life," he adds. Coincidentally, Prabhat's character in Kasturi is also named Ajay, a moniker he had in Kahaani… as well. "When I got a call from Balaji, they told me that I am playing Ajay. I thought that I am going to re-surface in Kahaani. Later, they told me that I have been selected for Kasturi. I was more than happy to accept the role," Prabhat says.

oh i LOVED him!!! cant wait to see him in kasturi!!! hes so talented. at one point i watched just for ajay and his wife !! (the story wid the money , will and wat not one anyone remember that far back?😆
