Half Girlfriend: anyone watched it?
It was the day of the sangeet. Agarwal house was lavishly decorated with lights and flowers. There was a huge open space for the guests to dance all night. Fortunately, Sasha and Ishaan did not create problems, which worried Parvati because it meant that they were planning something big. She just prayed that the wedding went by peacefully. Within a few hours the majority of the guests had arrived and started mingling with each other. The whole family had joined their guests; however, Parvati could not spot the groom. She went up to Mayuri, who was talking to some of her friends.
Parvati: Mayuri, where is Adi?
Mayuri: Badima, he's getting ready…there he is.
Adi came down the stairs in a cream colored kurta.

Adi: Thanks nani, but it looks like I'm not the only one people will be looking at today.
Adi gestured towards the stairs and Parvati turned around to find Ishaan looking down at everyone. He was wearing a blue kurta pyjama. http://www.homeindia.com/fashion/bigprdimgt.asp?prdintid=149 32Before Parvati could walk up to him, Sasha joined Ishaan's side.
Mayuri: Badima, our Chotu is not bad. There is good to him…it's Sasha's influence that is covering the good side of him. When he realizes what kind of a snake Sasha is, he will come back to us.
Parvati: I hope so.
Sasha and Ishaan joined everyone else.
Sasha: I hope we are not late Parvati…auntie.
Parvati: Not at all…you are just in time. Anyways, Sasha, Ishaan this is Adi, the groom.
Ishaan: Congrats Adi.
Adi: Thanks Ishaan. I'm glad that you are here with us.
Adi gave Ishaan a warm and welcoming smile just like a brother would. At the same time he gave Sasha a cold look, warning him not to mess with his family. The next half hour was quite boring for some people. Adi was talking to his friends but his eyes would constantly look at the entrance for Methilli. Ishaan and Sasha found some familiar business associates, but Ishaan's heart was into their conversation.
Tiny and Bheem were running around when they noticed a whole lot of people entering the house.
Tiny: Methilli Bhabhi is here!
As soon as Tiny said that, everyone's attention was towards the entrance where Methilli entered with her family and friends standing behind her. Everyone was awed by her beauty. She was wearing a cream colored lehnga that matched with Adi's outfit.

Sasha: What fools! They are behaving as if some princess has arrived.
Ishaan gave a small grin at Sasha's comment, which disappeared immediately when noticed a familiar face come forth and stand right next to Methilli. It was none other Pari who's outfit coincidentally matched with his.
http://www.shaaditimes.com/images-article/2006/jun/classic-s ari-1.jpgShravan: Thank God you are here bhabi, Adi bhaiya was getting really lonely without you.
Adi hit the back of Shravan's head indicating him to be quiet even though he was right.Methilli's Grandfather: Parvatiji, this is my other granddaughter Pari. She just recently arrived to India.
Pari bent down and took Parvati's blessings and kindly greeted the rest of the family.
Parvati: Bless you…I'm glad that you could make it to the wedding.
By now all of the guests had entered into the house and resumed with their chatting. Adi took the time to get to know the cousin that Methilli would always talk about.
Adi: So you are that sister that Methilli can never get tired talking about…please to meet you sali
Pari: Same here jiju…now if you'll excuse me, I think you should have some time alone with your better half.
Pari quietly walked away leaving the couple alone in one corner. As soon as she left, Adi put his arm around Methilli's waist and pulled her a little closer.
Adi: My future sali is so smart, she already knows what I want.
Methilli: Adi let go of me, everyone's watching.
Adi: So what…this ceremony is for the two of us.
Methilli: You won't change will you?
Adi: Nope
Methilli: Parvatimama!
Adi immediately let go of Methilli and turned around to realize that Methilli had just fooled him. She couldn't help but laugh at Adi's red face.
On the other hand, Pari was walking towards the other end of the room when Ishaan stopped her midway.
Pari: Mr. Ishaan what are you doing here?
Ishaan: I should be asking you that question.
Pari: Well Methilli, the bride, is my cousin who I told you about. And you?
Ishaan: Well, I live here.
Pari: Well, I guess it's a small world. Anyways, I'm glad to see you here since I do not know many people.
Ishaan: Same here.
Pari and Ishaan soon were engaged in conversation. Little did they know, Parvati and Mayuri were observing them from far away.
Mayuri: This is the first time that I saw Ishaan smile ever since he has arrived.
Parvati: I think we have Pari to thank for that. I'm just glad to see that there is at least one good person in his life.
Just then Tanu grabbed the mike and caught everyone's attention.
Tanu: Ladies and gentleman, now that the bride has arrived, it's time for some dance. I have with me slips of paper with everyone's name written on it. Whoever's name I pick out, will have to perform for us. To begin us off we have Tiny and Bheem.
Tiny and Bheem came to the dance floor and danced to Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
http://ww.smashits.com/player/flash/flashplayer.cfm?SongIds= 58186At the end of their performance, everyone gave a huge applause to the young and innocent performers.
Tanu: Now it's time for the bride's friends, led by her sister--Pari.
Pari and a group of Methilli's friends came forth and danced to Mere Khwabon Mein from DDLJ. http://ww.smashits.com/player/flash/flashplayer.cfm?SongIds= 14286 Throughout this whole time, Parvati noticed Ishaan staring (and smiling) at Pari.Tanu: And now it's time for Methilli to dance for her Prince Charming.
Methilli resisted at first; however, all her friends managed to bring her to the dance floor where she danced to Bole Chudiya from K3G. About midway, Adi joined her and everyone was delighted to see the couple happily dancing together.
Tanu: And last but not least it's now Adi's turn, and joining him will be Ishaan.
The Agarwals were a little nervous about Ishaan's reaction. However, to their dismay, Ishaan agreed to dance with Adi. The two started dancing to Maahi Ve from Kal Ho Na Ho. Then Adi grabbed Methilli's and pulled her on to the dance floor and Ishaan pulled Pari to join him. The two girls willingly danced with their partners, making it the best performance of the night. Afterwards, everyone was invited to the dance floor. From the young kids to the elders of the family, everyone danced.
The next two days were hectic for everyone. The whole Agarwal house was busy preparing for the wedding. Fortunately for them, Sasha had to leave the night of the sangeet for a business meeting, and will not be coming for a week. Ishaan just ignored the whole family and went to work. He tried to arrange for a meeting with Pari, but found out that she had taken a few days off to help prepare for the wedding.
At Methilli's house, Methilli was not allowed to do any work. Pari and her friends made sure that she stayed away from all the chores. Pari was running around the house giving out instructions when the doorbell rang. She was surprised to see Ishaan at her doorstep.
Pari: Ishaan…what are you doing here?
Ishaan: Well, I realized that you won't be coming to work until the wedding is over, so there wasn't much for me to do at the office. So I decided to come here and help you with the preparations.
Pari: That's kind of you, but don't you have work to do at Agarwal house?
Ishaan: Well, there are enough members there to handle everything. I think I can make better use of myself here.
Just then, Methilli came outside.
Methilli: Ishaan, what are you doing here?
Pari explained why Ishaan was here.
Methilli: Thanks for your help, but…
Ishaan: If your brother offered to help, would you thank him.
Both Pari and Methilli were touched by what Ishaan had said, and they couldn't refuse him. Pari handed the responsibility for decorations to Ishaan, who immediately started calling the decorators while Pari took care of the caterers. In the meantime, Methilli quietly called Parvati and informed her about Ishaan, and she was more than happy to hear about this side of her grandson.
At Agarwal house, there was a haldi ceremony. Adi was surrounded by several women who completely covered him in haldi. Adi was relieved when Parvati said that they were done.
Adi: Thank god this is over…now I can go
Parvati: Where are you going?
Adi: To meet Methilli
Adi was about to get up when Parvati pushed him back down.
Parvati: You aren't going.
Adi: Why not?
Parvati: You can't meet Methilli until the wedding day. Now go to your room and get some rest. Besides Methilli must be having her mehndi ceremony: you will see her tomorrow.
Adi knew that there was no point to protesting, so he quietly went to his room.
On the other hand, the all the ladies gathered at Methilli's house to put mehndi on each other. Later that night Methilli was in her room quietly staring at the dark color of henna on her hands, when she heard a noise by her window. She turned towards her window to find Adi climbing inside her room.
Methilli: Adi!
Adi: Shhh
Methilli:
(whispering) what are you doing here?Adi: I came to meet you…no one would let me, so I had to come through the window.
Methilli: We can't see each other until the wedding.
Adi: That's too long…I can't stay away from you that long…why don't we just get married right now?
Methilli: Have you gone crazy?
Adi: I went crazy the moment I fell in love with you…anyways, show me your hands, I want to see the henna.
Methilli held out her two hands in front of Adi. Adi gently held her hands and stared at the design for a little while.
Methilli: Did you find your name?
Adi: It's already written on your heart.
Methilli blushed a little at this comment. Adi held Methilli's face and placed a soft kiss on her cheek.
Adi: I can't wait till tomorrow…after that, I'm not going to let you out of my sight. I will take you wherever I go.
Methilli: Fine you can do that, but you have to go now before anyone sees you.
Methilli practically had to push Adi out of her room. Before he jumped out the window, he looked at Methilli one last time.
Adi: By this time tomorrow, you will be Mrs. Aditya Mehra.
With that said Adi jumped out the window, leaving Methilli who was smiling to herself at what Adi had just said.
Finally, it was the day of the wedding. Ishaan had left early in the morning to make sure the marriage hall was set up properly. When he reached there he found Pari in a beautiful outfit.
http://image38.webshots.com/38/0/72/25/2876072250093489037DT plVM_ph.jpgIshaan was lost in Pari's beauty for a minute. However, he came back to his senses just in time.
Ishaan: Pari, is everything ready.
Pari: Yes, I was just making sure one last time. Thanks for all your help Ishaan.
Ishaan: That's what friends are for. You do not have to thank me. By the way you look really beautiful.
Pari: Thank you.
In the meantime, Bharat and Ronit helped Adi wear his sherwani. Afterwards, Mayuri performed the necessary rituals, and Adi sat on the horse and headed towards the marriage hall.
Adi was greeted by Gunn, who took Methilli as her own daughter, and she managed to pull his nose. Once those rituals were performed it was time to bring Methilli down. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress.
http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11353080/Embroidered_Ghagras_Le henga_Choli.jpgEven though the dress was simple, it complemented Methilli's inner beauty perfectly. Methilli and Adi were now standing face to face, and it was time for them to put the garland of flowers around each other. As soon as Methilli reached out to Adi, his friends lifted him up high enough that Methilli could not reach him. One of the guests decided to make a suggestion.
Guest: Call the bride's brother.
For a second Methilli felt a little awkward since her brother was in a wheelchair. However, she soon found herself being pulled up by a strong pair of arms. When she looked down, she found Ishaan holding her.
Methilli: Thank you!
Methilli managed to place the garland around Adi's neck, and he did the same in return.
The two were then taken to the mandap where the rituals began. Adi placed the mangalsutra around Methilli's neck and filled her maang. Afterwards, the two got up to make the rounds around the holy fire. Adi promised himself to protect Methilli and fill her life with happiness. While vowed to stand by Adi's side at any cost. At last Adi and Methilli had become one.
