Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii to go off air after a 7-year run

All kahaanis come to an end. And one of Ekta Kapoor's longest running show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is no different.

The show, which has been going on for almost seven years, is going off air by and September end or early October.

The reasons for the show being discontinued are not clearly known. Balaji Telefilms is working to bring the show to a logical conclusion.

Earlier, buzz was that Kahaani…might be replaced by Rajan Sahi's romantic show. However, a source said, "The show which will replace Kahaani…will be another of Ekta's shows."

"Star Plus is quite happy with the show. It is just that the story can't be stretched any further.

Star and Balaji had a long discussion a few days ago, and in the best interests of the viewers, they took a decision to end the show," our source added.

Anupama Mandloi (Senior Creative Director, Star India) and Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for comment.

guys my guess is it will take them till november or dec to tie up loose ends of the show but still its been a glorious 8 yrs of kggk

😭 well, i'm speechless n really don't know what to say! 😲..all daily soaps will come to an end someday, but that Kahaani's ending so soon in unbearable!! 😭 😭..the news came to me as a shocker n i seriously hope its all a big rumour.. 😕 😭...i still think Kahaani has the potential to make it to No. 01 provided the Creatives make the right moves!! ...but unfortunately the Creatives don't even seem to be trying! 😭 ...we've been pouring in our suggestions over time n even if one of the Creatives had gone thru' them, they could've done wonders to get Kahani's magic back in no time...n they did have so many opportunities to do so even onece they brought Trishna back! 😭 ...stll hoping the very best for Kahaani! ⭐️
