Final thoughts about KHKT

When I seen the first promo of KHKT KVG looked great and then their was simar bahu. I was a fan of KVG from his YMGGK days. I scratched my head and wondered why would a married actress from a regressive show take up KHKT a youth rom-com show. Would she be able to romance the ML or would she be hesitant? Don't get me wrong I had some preconceived notions about her as well. I had never seen SSK but heard about her makkhi endeavors hell used to pray that regressive show ended. I wasn't a fan of BB either.

After watching a few episodes of DKI in khkt I started liking the girl. She shed her simar bahu image and flourished as Sonakshi Rastogi. When she fell sick and was hospitalized for a week and ther wasn't much of Sona in episodes i realized shit despite starting the show for KVG it was honestly DKI that kept me hooked. The reason I can sit thru any dumb track is because she is in the frame and good to look at. Its a little vain but true. Then i started to do some research into her life found my DKI encyclopedia on tweeter and she gave me a run down of her life and felt really bad & sad for the girl. She has gone thru some serious shit. Media & fans haven't been a cakewalk for her.

I have been a part of various fandoms stanned a few actors & actresses on IF in the last 7 yrs

But never have I come across an actress who is this widely hated or bashed for a lack of a better term on social media. And the weird part is i genuinely fail to understand why she gets so much backlash. Now that the show is practically over and the last episode will air in a few days lets discuss everything. I am tired of ignoring so made a post to answer some common questions.

1. why did she change her religion? It isn't love if you need to change everything about yourself for a man? Its honesty her choice learn to respect it.

2. Why is her IG a complete family album? her life her choice

3. Why doesn't her husband work? He should be ashamed of living off his wife's income. not all actors get lucky and get jobs right when one ends. i find it kinda odd that people mostly woman have an issue with her being the breadwinner in the family when so many people talk about equality and feminism.

4. Why does she credit and talk about her husband & in-laws so much in IVs? Why doesn't she talk about her real parents i bet they had a falling out? her life, her choice but she is still close to her parents from what i have heard.

5. When she faints on sets Is she pregnant? No one will ever see her dedication that she was working while she was sick and fainted due to exhaustion. When KHKT ending rumors came out she is must be pregnant that is why show is ending.

6. She gains a little bit of weight due to thyroid issues and she is labelled BULKY and hard to see with the ML. She is fat shamed by other women is it honesty a crime not to be a size 0 or 2 and to be a size 6 or 8. She works 10-12 hours a day then commutes home for 6 days a week then has one day off. She doesn't have time. And its her life, her body.

7. Are her in-laws super conservative is that why she doesn't give joint IV or socializes and goes to parties? her choice if she wants to attend parties, some people are social animals and others are somber stay at home types

8. Why does her SIL have be a third wheel with them every-time they go out doesn't a couple need the privacy especially on valentines day? her life her choice

9. Why is she so aloof or anti-social? Is it so hard to socialize with the KHKT fam and take a few pictures? her life her choice and honestly she was in 15-18 out of the 22 mins in most episodes of KHKT and used to play 2 characters parvati & sonakshi. She used to be in every frame at one point. People used to mention how KVG is on set but gets less SS than nishi in some tracks. this week and the previous week she only worked on 28,29 which is were all of her scenes are coming from. Hence you see so many BD and less of ronakshi. Everything from BD use to wat not isn't her fault.

10. Why didn't she leave set early on the 2nd to last day? Didn't she know their was a farewell celebration that day. DKI & deepak wrapped up early it was neither her last day nor last day of the team... most of the actors came the next day and on 29th it was official wrap up.

11. Why did she never attend Sikku ganpati pooja or parties or heck even the last farewell get together he hosted? Doesn't she have common sense or common curtesty she could have gone out to starbucks with her husband another time. Her life. Her choice. Honestly last day of shoot was 29 so KVG could have came that day even if he didn't have shoot and say byee to everyone. You cant blame DKI alone since you guys never got a karpika closure. Other actors like shalani & abhishek came on the 29th for a bit regardless of not having a call time. The cakes, pizzas and such were bought by DKI for the team for the last day of shoot. Which was the actually wrap up day. Being the lead of the show she did her part.

Fail to see the relevance between the topic title and the actual content. It's more like a dipika endorsement. You contradict your own statment..

That is it is her life and why would anyone care?? Well if that's the case pls stop with all this explanation about why she is the most misunderstood personality ever... Who cares??

I was as fan of this show disappointed with both the leads for 2 farewell party at the set and why to defend either one of them. But if KVG could have come all the for 2nd day just to say bye then dipika could have stayed little longer at the set too the 1day as she was there already??.

At the end of the day we are all little biased towards someone/thing for whatever the reason maybe. Let's move on from this blame game and who is better or not..

Yes as a lead(even as a supporting cast) you should attend a teams farewell party given by your fellow team member unless ofcourse you are sick or other family emergency/commitment. As a working professional we all do this in our life and she is no different.

As Sona She owes that final team photo to her fans because when it came to selling this show she was part of the team promotion and I fail to understand why should that professionalism be missing now.. No it is not your life choice it's your work commitment and you need to honour it.

I personally don't care about how she leads her life, with whom she hangs out ect, ect but as part of Ronakshi fan I expressed my opinion but never passed judgement on Dipika personal choices.

Nobody should care about her bond/lack of bonding with her co-actors or not posting pics with them. Now that is her and her choice alone.

But this is my POV and I don't stalk dipika and unlike many I didn't know anything about her before the show so 0 expectation/biasness..

can't say that's the case anymore. Anyways agree with you on one point let us not glorify/bash actors they are just like any other professional who get paid (in some cases more than fairly) for their work.

I also followed lot of actors and fandoms. But the amount of hatred some people having for DKI is not understandable for me. Everything about her is questioned by some people in this fandom.I am watching KHKT only for her performance and her impressive screen presence. She has more screen space in KHKT from the starting of the KHKT, more than KVG also. In lot of episodes, she was in every frame and she had 15-18 minutes screen space. She did two characters (Sonakshi and Parvathi) in KHKT. She changed lot of costumes and did different make up and jewellary for these two characters. In many episodes, she changed 4-5 costumes in one episode, remaining cast in only one same dress throughout the episode.Even KVG mentioned about this in one of his interviews. She did lot of hard work for KHKT and successfully brake her simar bahu image, rocked in Sonakshi character like a pro. People have to be look and think all these things before commenting about her personally and professionally. I didn't saw any married actress ( infact some unmarried actresses in present serials) freely doing intense and romantic scenes this much superbly with dedication and professionalism other than Dipika kakar in ITV. We have to appreciate this qualities in her as an actresses. I think people have to be more mature and more sensible to understand all these and they have to be big hearted persons to appreciate real talented and hard working actresses. I think people have to give more importance to actors onscreen and their performance, not like off screen bond and their BTS photos and videos. We are not following them in KHKT real shooting place and we didn't know what really happens behind the camera in sets. Sometimes, social media activities about some people are for some publicity also. I liked one comment about Adhikary Sangeetha(Vimmi) in her one of Instagram chat session with fans. For one question of KHKT fan about"why Dipika not in BTS photos of KHKT cast?", she replied as"Dipika is in every frame of KHKT na". That is really a good comment and told how much dedicated actress Dipika kakar is in ITV.

You become a celeb you open yourself up to discussion, you don’t get paid lakhs in the entertainment business for no reason. I think some criticism is valid for her and if it’s her life her choice then it’s also our opinion our choice to express. Yes I don’t know about her SIL and all that crap, really she has faced not much criticism compared to the hate that other tv celebs can get or those in BW or abroad.

Honestly this post is for all of those really awesome folks on India forums for the last 9 months who have been asking all these lovely questions repeated. Sometimes I get links of all the amazing content everyone is up to here so i felt like i would put in my 2 cents in before this show ended. If you don't bother about her personal life then please ignore my writing, as I have written this on the basis of those threads I have seen in these 9 months. You may not bother about her personal life and how she leads her life but a loads of over concerned people on this forum do however. So just like u have shared ur POV, I expressed mine. If u aren't among these over judgmental people, then this post is not for u dude.

As for the attendance in the farewell events both should be held response not just DKI for no Karpika farewell post. KVG could have came the last day just like DKI could have gone to SIkku's party. Peace

Ok so it seems from ur message, it's not enough that she is entertaining u as Sonakshi Rastogi by her acting dancing and romancing with the ML, rather discussing about if her husband is earning, or if she is sharing a good rapport with her Mom and dad are pure entertainment for you. There is a thin line between opinion and hatred.. the comments i have seen here, those are pure hatred.. and that hatred cant be covered up under the veil of opinion... people even talked about her sex life here.. is it something u call entertainment and these are the things she is getting paid for ??? I felt like certain things used to set india fourms apart from reddit & other SM platforms. Seems like slowly IF is headed the reddit route

You know what the funny thing is if i were to pass judgement or criticism for a lack of a better term on KVG's life like people have done with DKI for purly entertainment purposes over the last 9 months. I have always praised her for her acting skills, if people have commented on her sex life then that is VERY wrong. I am just stating a fact that if it is to comment on her involvement with the cast or a send off for Karpika, I feel it is the right of people to express themselves.

I understand your point completely but see the flip side, in IndiaForums, TV actors are basically glorified and there can be no room to question or comment on them. Reddit is pretty crazy agreed but that is what forums do, otherwise its just heavily moderated and policed. Think of the fact that the number of members who have questioned Dipika are literally 2-4 compared to all the others who love her on this Forum.

yeah that is messed up, who cares how much time she spends with Shoaib and Saba, i care how much she shows me she loves being Sona and that was my main point - when you are an artist you are paid triple in one episode for one day that someone slogging in an office earns (and trust me they too work 12 hours a day at times) - the nature of the business is completely different, you are what you are because people love you, appreciate your craft and also yes keep you relevant through SM.

She wasn't at the breakfast, not at any gatherings, look the show is ending, Sickand did not even have any Ronakshi scenes so at the very least BOTH Karan and her should have interacted offscreen in a live or interview to appreciate all those fans trending to save the show. I blame them both but seeing as the full cast came together except for her, it just seems like she wasn't that interested. Anyway I still hope they DO come together to give that closure to fans of the show.
