This is how I would propose SP get their ratings back:
1. Prime-time slot when most of the viewers are most likely to be watching, air 3-4 of their most typical trp-grabbing high-drama family serials (can't deny these work for indian tv to get max ratings). This will ensure SP have a something that they know is a fail-safe and sure to get high ratings. I think this time is from 7:30pm-9:30pm. This should also involve scrapping some of the current line-ups of these typical type of high-drama family shows that are now slowly sloping down in ratings due to running out of ideas, and instead replace them with brand-new high-drama serials by top production houses. Yeh hai chaahatein is new and running at 7:30 already, so IMO the rest of their shows running from 8:00pm till 9:30pm should be replaced with new serials of this type.
2. After 9:30pm they should air strictly finite series that will only run for a short while that aim at keeping story crisp and exciting. That too, these finite series can all be of different genres to cater to different interests, such as romance, horror, supernatural, youth-based etc. So basically different types of genre to get different audiences in. Don't know about you guys but I'm waiting for the day ITV attempts a crime thriller serial maybe around a serial killer (I got a dark heart so I love stuff like criminal minds and hannibal though I don't expect great stuff like these two shows from itv) or even SP can attempt a college-based youth show at the late-night slots or even weekend.
3. Not a fan of this idea of SP making their serials 6 days a week. Weekends should just consist of reality shows and interesting finite series.
4. Since saath nibhana saathiya went off air, the 7:00pm slot is dead and the shows haven't been working properly. IMO maybe they need to put a show on that slot that has a strong social message and consists of high-drama. Clearly no shows with actual good content will work now on 7:00pm slot. Just the same old saas-bahu shit will work there maybe. EBSS didn't work at that slot at all.
YHC airs at 10:30 pm.
Dadi Amma Man Jao airs at 7:30 pm.

Edit: I live in the uk, so for that reason the timings for some shows I mentioned are off compared to the indian telecasting time.
No good show ever got the TRPs they wanted on star!! KHKT, EBSGS, Naamkaran, everst, kcl none of them were star products in my opinion!!!

Naamkarann was just â¤ď¸ Ek haseena thi and naamkarann forever will be my fave SP shows. Were you ever on NK forum?
i know!!! I wish sandiip comes and speak about the shit that happened in these 9 months!!! But at the end of the day he has to survive in the industry...he will never say things openly!! I so wish he does that! J know a few bits and i really really wish all the ppl in the fd come to know about it!Originally posted by: columbia
I cannot agree with you more. I invested emotionally in KHKT from the start and it took me awhile to get it out of my system ... it happened when Raima entered the picture. For the past couple of months I stopped watching KHKT completely...would peep in once in awhile...but have been watching Mere dad ki dulhan ...and I LOVE that show...the acting, the storytelling and the pace just fabulous....this is what I had hoped for KHKT ...a slow burn romance...hating each other then figuring each other out...donât know who ruined it...the channel or the PH...but bosss they killed a golden goose
And KHKT is fortunately or unfortunately not the only one who faced that non-sense!!!
i was not on the forum but the show was absolite bliss!!! Plus the acting was good too!!! I have watched a lot of shows but there r very few which left an impression on me!!! Naamkaran, krpkab and khkt r some!!! I never watched ek haseena thi..was it a sp product??

Sp treated naamkaran way too unfairly! But they did worse to KHKT!đđđ

Naamkarann wasn't even given any due or proper promotion in awards either 𤏠And the main couple's story was just so different from other IV couples I had seen.
Ek haseena thi was a phenomenal finite series by star plus. From start to end it was good, remained to the point, never strayed from main plot and never became saas-bahu crap with the female lead never having to go through crap of being misunderstood and having to be mahaan. You should watch it on hotstar. I literally willingly paid hotstar subscription just to watch it then ended my subscription when I was finished watching it.

Oh. In the UK YHC got its parent show, YHMâs 7:30 pm slot. In India, Star shifted YHM to 10:30 pm from 7:30 pm around 1.5 years ago for Mariam Khan Reporting Live. All shows of StarPlus have been big time flops at 7:30 pm since then including Dadi Amma now. Before YHM, 10:30 pm slot did not even get 0.7ish ratings. After YHM, 10:30 pm became the new 7:30 pm for StarPlus.
Actually for Straplus, 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm is a strong band. All shows are doing well. Other slots need to improve.
