That is not the case with sona! She has actually been emotionally manipulated all her childhood by ppl inside and outside the house! During that ice truck scene sona told rohit that she has been exposed to wrong and manipulative ppl from right from her childhood! Her own mother considered her as a money making machine and nothing else! So that kind of things thrown at her is normal with her! She is habitual of taking that shit with a smile! For u that must be bieng "mahaan" but if u look at from where she is coming u will understand that not responding to things like that is not "mahaan"

One of The house help that used to work in her house is quite old and her daughter is an air hostess now! Though she gas reached at such a high position she does not acts like one who is there! That is because she has had an emotionally exploitive childhood! She has aleays been taunted and made to feel low about everything...so when still if someone says anything to her she takes it with a smile and gets back to bieng normal with her! Rarely she gives it back to ppl!
