Rohit stared at his ceiling as her words kept ringing in his ears. He couldn’t stop thinking about the unshed tears in her eyes.
She sounded as if she had accepted her fate and was not ready to fight to reclaim the happiness she deserved. Sonakshi Rastogi was a strong woman who was not one to give up so easily. Yet, she sounded so fragile and broken at that moment. Rohit never realized how blessed he was to have friends and a strong support from his brothers. Sonakshi didn’t say it but he could sense her loneliness. Her eyes, so beautiful and expressive said it all. He suddenly sat up and realized that there was something he could do for her.
She couldn’t close her eyes without seeing his smile that held all the heartbreak in the world. It was as if he had given up all hopes of being loved by someone. She could tell he was trying so hard to compose himself. His smile was his last defense against the tears that threatened to spill.
Dr. Surgeon cured so many hearts but he couldn’t hide the pain buried deep within his own. He looked so broken and vulnerable when he said Raima’s name. His smile, which was usually a smirk or one full of naughtiness, was heartbreakingly beautiful. He had a beautiful smile, if only the pain and heartbreak hidden behind it could be soothed. Sonakshi thought and decided that if she couldn’t take away the pain, she certainly wouldn’t add to it. She smiled as she thought of a way to help him.
