Dev repeats "Where is Sunaina?" Sunaina quietly walks out and stands beside Karun. Dev asks what Karun has done. Sunaina tries to reply but Dev says he wants to hear it from Karun. Sunaina keeps asking Dev to listen to her, but he ignores her. Demant walks up and tries to grab Sunaina's wrist, but Karun holds Demant's hand. But Demant manages to pull Sunaina away from Karun. He squeezes so hard that Sunaina's choodiyan (bracelets) break and Soman tells him to let go of her. Sunaina begs them to listen to her and says that Karun didn't do anything to her. Karun goes towards Dev and tells him that there is some misunderstanding but Dev slaps Karun. Sunaina cries out and all are astonished! Demant walks up and tells Karun that he can't get away with anything he wants. Demant begins pushing Karun around but Karun repeats over and over that he does not want to fight. Demant ignores him and keeps pushing Karun trying to get him to fight. Sunaina stands by helplessly with Saloni and Soman. Demant finally starts beating Karun up. Sunaina cries out once again that Karun did nothing to her. Karun turns to Dev and says, "Don't believe me, but at least listen to Sunaina!" Demant gets furious hearing Karun say Sunaina's name and starts kicking Karun. Karun refuses to fight back as Demant beats him. Sunaina keeps crying out that Karun did nothing but Dev drags her away. Demant and Karun are alone. Demant pushes Karun near a well and Karun sees a huge stick. He grabs it and turns to Demant saying that enough is enough. Dev comes back and tells Demant to come with him. Karun angrily throws the stick down as they leave.
Mathur House- The whole family and Demant are back home. Dev drags Sunaina into the family room. Soman tells Dev to let her go- he finally drops her arm and Sunaina repeats that Karun did nothing to her. Dev gets angry and says that Sunaina is complimenting the man who is ruining their lives and honor. He says that Sunaina is making them look bad and is staining their reputation. He tells Soman to take her away and that from now on what he wants will happen and nothing else. He adds that Sunaina may not leave the house anymore. Sunaina keeps saying that Karun did not do anything but Soman takes Sunaina to her room.
Dev and Demant are left alone in the room. Demant tells Dev that he is going to the Commissioner's office to file a case against Karun for kidnapping.
Sunaina's room- Saloni, Soman and Sunaina altogether. Sunaina asks Soman to explain to Papa (Dev) that Karun did nothing. Soman assures her that she will tell Dev when he calms down. Sunaina breaks down and says, "Karun is a good person and I have always misunderstood him- he came that day to return my dupatta, he has always been kind to me!"
NEXT DAY
Commissioner's Office- Demant tells the Commissioner all and asks him to arrest Karun. The Commissioner says that the police have to do things in a certain way and can't just go and arrest Karun. Demant says that if they don't arrest Karun, then he will run away to some other city. The Commissioner says, "The person you are saying will run away, is right here!" Karun steps out of the shadows and stands next to the Commissioner. The Commissioner goes on, "Karun has already come and told me everything, but he did not tell me one thing- see the bruises and cuts on his face? He must have got them in a fight, but he has not told me who beat him." Demant says, "This is because Karun must be upto something! And Karun knows he will be punished so he surrendered!" The Commissioner says that Karun is ready to accept any punishment and as for the kidnapping charges- only Sunaina can convict him of that and she must come to the office and say so. Demant and Karun stare at each other angrily.
Divan house- Radha and Pratap are walking through the house together, but Bihari comes and takes him away. Radha walks off upset. Bihari and Bulbul sit down with Pratap. Bihari says that he has looked at Leher's and Karun's kundali, and they must be engaged in a week. Radha turns back hearing this and asks what the hurry is? Bihari says that its the auspicious time and they can't be engaged any other time. Radha tries to ask again for more time but Pratap cuts her off and says that Karun has had enough time and the engagement will take place in 2 days no matter what.
Night- Mathur House- Demant and Dev are sitting together and Demant says that Sunaina will have to testify against Karun. He asks Dev if he thinks Sunaina will do so. Demant says that Sunaina will have to...
Sunaina's room- Sunaina is standing by the window as the wind blows. She is holding Karun's jacket close to her face and remembering Karun helping her up when she fell and Karun getting beaten up by Dev and Demant. Suddenly the wind blows strongly and Karun's jacket flies out of her hand and falls behind her. She sits down and runs her hands along the floor looking for it. Just then Saloni walks and kneels to the ground to pick up the jacket. She takes Sunaina's hand and puts the jacket in it. Saloni helps Sunaina stand up and they sit down on the bed. Saloni says, "For a while, even I thought Karun was wrong, but he loves you- he truly loves you. I may not know what real love is like, but it must be something like this- tell me, you love Karun don't you, you really love him- admit it, don't hide the truth. Say you love him!" Sunaina holds the jacket against her face and smiles. But Dev is standing in the background and hears everything- he grabs the jacket from Sunaina's arms angrily. Saloni and Sunaina are shocked as they realize he has heard and seen everything. Dev walks out of the room with the jacket.
Courtyard- Dev is pouring gasoline all over the jacket and Soman walks out. She yells at him to stop but he keeps going. He takes out his matches as Sunaina and Saloni come out too. He burns the jacket as Saloni, Soman, and Sunaina watch unable to stop him. Dev says, "I have seen enough and now only what I want will happen." He tells Sunaina that she will have to go the police station tomorrow and give her testimony against Karun! Sunaina says but....Dev cuts her off and says enough! He goes back inside. Sunaina and Saloni huddle together as Soman tries to comfort them, but Sunaina sadly runs into her room.
Karun's place- Rakshet tells Karun once again to forget Sunaina. He adds that if Sunaina loved him then she would have called. Karun says that he and Sunaina might still be meant for each other and he won't give up. He goes on that no one can take her away. Suddenly, Karun's phone rings. Its Radha! She tells Karun that she can't listen to him anymore because he has to come back. She says that his engagement is fixed for this week! Karun is surprised and asks how could that happen?? Radha ignores him and says that if he cares for her at all he will come back right away. She hangs up. Karun throws the phone in anger.
Divan house- Radha tells Grandmother that she has called Karun back but asks Grandmother to reconsider. Grandmother says that everything will be better once Karun is married. Radha tells her that Karun is not ready for marriage. Grandmother says that Pratap was not ready to marry either but look at him now! Radha thinks that she has acted like a good wife and that is all ever since she married Pratap, but she won't make Karun live a life like that.
Karun's place- Rakshet tells Karun to go back home and forget Sunaina because she is not meant for him. Karun says he cant because Sunaina is a part of him and one day she will hear his heart's call.
Sunaina's room- Saloni keeps telling Sunaina to admit that Karun is her prince.
