Ekta Kapoor to launch her TV channel
This is not just another feather in Ekta Kapoor's cap. Launching her channel is the biggest and the most expensive step that Ekta could have taken. The buzz is that after the success of Kahani Humare Mahabharat Ki , Ekta Kapoor was ready to take up a bigger challenge. "For the past 8 months Ekta Kapoor has been living, eating and breathing Mahabharat. It is the most expensive show that Balaji has ever produced. Thankfully it's received well by the viewers," says a Balaji source.

With almost 12 shows on air and some in the making, extending the roots was the most inevitable step in Ekta's career. The rumors about her launching her channel have been floating around since the past two years. "Back then it was just a germ and not an idea. But now the work on its launch has started in full swing." According to the sources, the launch will happen only next year. Some big names of the film industry are supposedly involved in the channel. We spoke to Ekta about this development in her golden career.

"Yes, we've started work on it. The channel has been my biggest dream. I'm excited and hoping that we'll come up with some really good work."

Tonight, three trios will battle it out in Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar , Kabhi Kabhi Yaar. The reality show which sees television actors and actresses dancing with their off-screen and on-screen partners, is nearing its finale.
Three to tango It is learnt that Kashmera Shah-Mukul DevKrushna Abhishek and Karnvir Bohra-Tina Parekh-Teejay Sidhu will beat Mridul-Wasna Ahmed-Tina to make it to the final round.

Teejay Sidhu claims that she hadn't expected to come this far. Her favourite performance so far is yet to be aired.. her dance with Karnvir to Bheegi bheegi.

Too fast Teejay says KashmeraMukul-Krushna stand a better chance of winning. Probably because Krushna and Kashmera have already participated in two other reality shows. The show, despite its controversy-inciting format hasn't raised too many hackles, so far.

'The 'yaar' was meant to overwhelm the 'pyaar' at some point,' she laughs, adding that there were no such problems with Tina, Karnvir's on-screen love.

The couple is hopeful that judge Mahesh Bhatt will give them a break in his future productions. 'He has appreciated our chemistry on the show,' smiles Teejay.

FORMAL LOOK TO ME IS... I follow on what suits me the best. It depends on the occasion also. It is generally Indian ethnic or I may balance it with a fusion wear. I love wearing trousers, so if the mood strikes me right, you will find me in a pair of chic trousers and a well cut blazer.

CASUAL LOOK FOR ME IS… Pajamas

MY PARTY ENSEMBLE IS... I am a denim aficionado. There's nothing like a pair of jeans to set the mercury levels rising.

MY CLASSIC STYLE STATEMENT IS… Jean and a funky top.

INDIAN DESIGNERS THAT I FOLLOW… I love Anamika and Reena Dhaka. I am a die hard fan of their clothes. They are the right combination of funk and zing.

THE ULTIMATE STYLE ICON TO ME IS… Quite a few! But, I admire classic beauty, grace and a bit of zing to it…so my style icons would be Shabana Azmi, Shoba, Illa Arun.
