Vs he did get married to akriti in right way….so I really dont know

Very good question i hope someone can answer soon…

The same Q is asked by me whenever I see the ITV drama of Sindor = married!!

I think Akriti is more his wife than GG coz all the rituals were done with her and also being done while the mantras being chanted.

But you know, ITV and Indian movies have their own laws, which has no connection what so ever with reality or logic!!

Saying that, I think marriage can be annulled if the couple didn't consummate, may be agreement of both parties is needed. I have heard of some divorce happened in my extended family coz they didn't consummate (one of the party was kind of not in full mental health)

OMG I live in Canada too!! That’s what I know too but things might be different in India.

We think the marriage between Anubhav and Akriti is not consummated and even same between Anubhav and GG. But who knows what actually happens and the makers can wake up tomorrow and make one of them pregnant 😂 we still don’t know who’s sindoor is on Anubhav’s yellow shirt from today’s episode lol

This is itv so all these things won't count.

If you are talking about anugun marriage then it's invalid but the Pandit was saying the mantras.

Mantras, the pheras / vows are important now I don't know.

ITV marriage logic is very much different from real life rules and logics.

So according to ITV

1. Legally Anugun are husband wife and Ronny has pictures.

2. Akriti has no haq on Anu and Anu will never give her any respect or haq.

3. Akriti will never leave Anu and she can send him to jail.

So whatever is going on will go on for days I guess. 😡

Actually, most everybody I know don't even have fire. What is important for us is what we have the muhurat for, which is when the bride and groom are separated by cloth and they have to put betel leaves that have jaggery on them onto each others heads. That has to happen at the exact muhurat and that signifies marriage and then of course we don't don a hook on the mangalsutra, in fact we don't even have one of the kind you usually see on the day of the wedding. A thread is prepared dipped in haldi and groom has to tie that around the brides neck with three knots. And that thread isn't replaced until a puja is done about 2 weeks after.

I guess just sindoor wouldn't have made it marriage but maybe the fact that pandit was also reciting the mantras in a temple? just depends on each family's specific beliefs I think.

Yes I agree with U ... Any of the states, doesnt consider the only sindoor as married ... They need to perform all the rituals accordingly ...

A marriage certificate helps an individual in proving they are legally married to someone, especially beneficial for getting a passport, visa, work permit,

Newly wed cant get divorce within a year ...conditions apply ...

It's only ITV illogic plots accepted as per scripts demands ...

sometimes they use only mangalsutra and say married ...

In this case RKC is considered as his legal wife ... since she followed rituals accordingly not GG ...

GG applying sindoor and roaming around doesnt make any sense but will considered her as psycho ...

ye bhi paglait hai aur cheery on top Anu's new thing tum mere wife ho ...

dono ko counselling ki sakth zarurat hai .... 🤣

but this isn't real world...this is ITV and on top of that, Vanku's creativity.

I'm sure he'll figure out a way to make GG the real wife and Akriti invalid...will probably take a good 100-200 episodes but it will happen.

He will need to divorce rkc as legally speaking he is not married to GG. Putting only sindoor is not counted as a valid marriage. All rites and rituals are required. Even if anu's marriage with rkc is not registered, it is still a valid and legal marriage ad all rites of marriage happened. So it won't be annulment. It will be divorce at this point.

First of all I would like to offer my commiserations to all the loyal fans of the show, you guys have been cheated big time!

I had been following this show from the start but never really watched it episode by episode or involved myself in the forum, this is actually kinda my first post, the prime reason being Vankar has betrayed me in the past with ghkkpm💔

This show too like ghum, started on a good note. That one got to run nicely for a good few months before it was ruined, this one wasn't even that fortunate. I have been doing silent reading on this forum for a while now, I saw this post today so felt like answering.

I'm a hindu by birth and have also done some reading, since its a topic I'm deeply interested in. From what I've read and from the customs that are followed in my family, I can assure you just applying sindoor does not count as marriage. Religiously speaking, applying sindoor is a very important tradition of married women, but that by itself cannot constitute as a marriage. Its the 7 vows or saptpadi which form the main basis of the marriage. The seven vows are taken as the 7 pheras in few parts of the country, we have different method of taking them in our family.

As I saw someone else had also answered that it is different in south india.

Though the pandit ji was saying the mantras, that too cannot constitute as marriage. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think there was any gathbandhan, nor did Gungun and Anubhav consciously promise each other to abide by the 7 vows, did they?

Sindoor is important, it cannot be treated like a casual cosmetic, that's why the Pandit ji asked them to marry properly, but at the cost of repeating my itself, applying sindoor alone cannot be marriage.

Akriti and Anubhav's marriage, on the other hand, was properly conducted with all the rituals and elder's blessings. So that was a proper marriage, its a different thing Anubhav seems to have flipped his decision after that, but their marriage happened with both of their consent (again, its a separate issue what the reasons were for the consent).

Legally also, sindoor alone doesn't count as a valid marriage, unless they can somehow prove that all other rituals were also done by Gungun and Anubhav, they will not be consider legally married either and legally, Akriti is his only wife. So legally, there is no question of bigamy either (his actions on the other hand, I'll not comment on it).

That being said, ITV hai, anything can happen

Regarding divorce and annulment, I'm not aware what the laws are.

Cheers❤️
