Dev tries very hard to bring out the words to tell Kaajjal he loves her … but each time he is unable to. He starts the sentence "When I first saw you …" and then ends it up with all sorts of rubbish endings like: "... my head was spinning" or " ... I went mad" etc etc. Kaajjal repeatedly tells him to come out with it, but he just runs from there in embarassment.
Later they both are seen just outside Kajjjal's house (Sweety-Bunty's house). There she reluctantly bids him goodbye as she has to leave for London the next day. They have very romantic moments - unable to split up and with loads of unspoken feelings. He walks away quietly and she has tears in her eyes as they wish each other well. She says he will get his dream, even if hers will remain unfulfilled …
Just as Dev walks away, Kamayani's car drives up to Kaajjal. Kamayani introduces herself as the MD of Melody Records and tells Kaajjal all that happened between her and Dev … how he got angry with her for being bitchy to an old man and refused the contract. She begs Kaajjal to convince him as she knows that Kaajjal is special to Dev. Kamayani puts on a good act of being a very nice person! But Kaajjal says if Dev has decided it must be for a good reason - and she cannot ask him to change his mind.
Kamayani then says if Kaajjal does not do this for Dev before going to London, he will regret his talents being wasted - and so will Kaajjal! This argument puts Kaajjal in a great uljhan to help Dev.
They then show that Kaajjal has summoned Dev and taken him to a very rich house full of expensive musical instruments ... which he loves when he looks around in surprise. Kaajjal explains how she met Kamayani and how Kamayani is so regretful of her behaviour. Kaajjal gives Dev the contract to sign and encourages him to do so for his own happiness and hers. But Dev says his life principles will be ruined if he worked for a woman like Kamayani – and refuses.
Kaajjal then goes to Kamayani's office in Radio City to return the document unsigned. Kamayani becomes angry and even shouts that she is useless and Dev is a silly bloody fool!
Kaajjal is slightly shocked by this behaviour, but also does not know what to do! But just then Dev enters the room – and to the surprise of all says he has changed his mind and is ready to sign … provided Kamayani apologises to the old man in front of himself. Kamayani gives a vague reply that sounds like a mumbled agreement ... and Dev signs as Kaajjal also encourages him.
Dev then asks Kaajjal also to sign as witness, so that when he becomes famous he will have at least her autograph on his first contract! Kamayani acts as if she finds all this to be a very cute romance! Kaajjal is very touched and signs her name.
Then when Kamayani leaves the room, Kaajjal hurriedly scribbles her London phone number on a piece of paper and gives it to Dev asking him to surely keep in touch. They both part with great sorrow.
As Kaajjal leaves the Radio City office with a heavy heart she passes by the murti of Ganu Bhaiyya there, and stops to pray. She says "Please help Dev in getting his dream. As for my dream ... you have not helped me, but still I will never be angry with you!"
Just as she says this her eyes go to a notice board near the Ganu Bhaiyya murti – it is full of pictures of the old Kaajjal as the famous RJ.( There is even a picture of old Dev selecting old Kaajjal as RJ in the Mussoorie RJ hunt!).
On seeing this Kaajjal remembers how even Hottie had said her old friend Kaajjal was a famous RJ here, and now Kaajjal decides she too wants to work here as this place may hold all the clues to what she is searching for. She thanks Ganu Bhaiyya profusely and goes home to Sweety and Bunty.
When she reaches home, she blabbers her happiness to Sweety and Bunty saying how she saw the old Kaajjal pictures and knows her heart's wish may come true to find out the truth, and how she has been offered an RJ job which she wants to take! Sweety and Bunty hear all this in guilty silence and Kaajjal asks them "What is wrong?"
But as Kaajjjal follows their guilty glances she sees her Dad there ... come from London ... who has heard all what she said! Freeze.
Preview: Kaajjal is seen pleading with her Dad that she was the one who hatched the Mumbai visit plot in Chandigarh because she desperately wanted answers to her heart's doubts, but the Dad says "Whatever you have to say can be said in London!"
