Kaajjal and Dev both get the idea to pray at the local dargah before they leave for Mumbai … they are praying side by side but don't see each other till they both open their eyes. As Kaajjal prays for help locating the old Kaajjal, he prays for help with reaching his manzil. When both open their eyes, Kaajjal accuses Dev of following her even here and they then part bitterly as she refuses to listen to his explanations. They leave the dargah as if going separate ways.
At home Daadi sees the letter left by Kaajal that she is running away in search of the real Kaajal as she cannot go to London with such a question mark in her life. Daadi is heartbroken not knowing where she has disappeared.
Meanwhile Kaajjal reaches the bus stand and after enquiries is told that to reach Bombay she has to take a bus to Delhi and then a train from there. She runs after a bus that just leaves but the bus starts slowly moving away. She screams for it to stop and take her.
Dev sleeping on the roof of the bus (as there's no space inside) hears her screams and climbs down the back ladder of the bus just enough to give his hand to her to catch and board the bus roof as he has. But after initially refusing to take his help she has no choice and grabs his hand as he helps her up the bus ladder. Their eyes meet …
At Dev's house he too has left a goodbye letter ... and his chachi fires his chacha that because of his bad treatment only Dev has run away. The chacha promises the chachi that maybe Dev may come back after a few days of trouble on his own. Or if not chacha will see if he is gone to stay with some distant relatives in Mumbai or something!
Meanwhile on the bus roof Dev and Kaajjal are having a romantic journey!!! As usual bickering with each other !!!
Many times Kaajjal almost falls off the roof in a huff with Dev who is asking for thanks for helping her get on the bus. Finally he has to almost hug her to stop her falling, and she says a reluctant thanks but says she is still angry for his slapping her!
The bus conductor hearing voices from the roof top stops the bus to investigate. They may be about to be caught …
Even though Dev tries to cover them both on the roof with a tarpaulin sheet, the conductor spots them and makes them get down the ladder. He then fires them for trying to travel without tickets, especially when they both appear reluctant to travel with each other and are even fighting in front of the conductor again!
When Kaajjal begs that she will definitely at least now buy a ticket if there's place in the bus, the conductor says there may be just one small place near the driver's seat and she can get on.
But Dev seeing he may thus be left out by her, then runs to the conductor and says they are a newly married couple and she is having her first fight with her dear husband (himself) and how can she do this to his heart … he asks the conductor to please consider what will happen to their chunnu and munnu when they have no mother if she goes away alone?
All the passengers in the bus agree with Dev and say what a cute codi they both are ... and they ask Kaajjal not to fight with her new husband who clearly loves her … Kaajjal is furious, as a triumphant Dev gives her a wicked wink. Freeze.
