The way you said about Dev, Kaajjal and Aditya has been really sweet. I surely do feel that you are a really sweet person at heart to approve of their characters and approve of them as they are presented. š³
All characters have their virtues and vices and so do the characters in this serial. Dev is shown as a completely genuine person with a heart of gold. Kaajjal is portrayed as a girl with honest intentions but also a little bit of foolishness and illogical behaviour. Aditya is portrayed as a person who at heart wants to help Kaajjal but unintentionally due to his own selfish
attraction towards Kaajjal tries possess her. I agree that destiny had seperated Dev from Kaajjal and brought Adi in between them and all these confusions. š
But yaar, the problem is that this is a serial. If we think in terms of the characters and just from their side, maybe we will feel that destiny has a role. But when we switch our television sets and come back to reality and sit to analyse the serial, we don't just look at what kind of characters they are. We rather look at how the story is moving. Even if the characters of the serial are good at heart, if the serial drags on, we would by the passage of time, start hating the twists and turns added to stretch the serial.
Serials if they become illogical can get really boring. Kaajjal started off as a really sweet serial, but now the turn of events and the introduction of fresh characters is bringing down the trps of the serial. We wouldn't watch the whole serial, just thinking that these characters are good at heart. If they ruin the characters of this serial and make them behave illogically and unethically, then we all would start hating them and getting bored with the storyline. š
That is what exactly is happening with the serial now. They started the serial with the fight and love between Dev and Kaajjal. Both had really sweet characters and complimented each other. We loved those episodes and even enjoyed the entry of Dev as Raju Rangeela. But seperating Dev and Kaajjal and adding new characters in between and making the characters behave without logic is really sad.
Serials should try to depict true human lives as much as they can. If you or i were in Kaajjal's place, we wouldn't jump to the conclusion that Adi is really the husband, when nothing about Adi can be remembered and a person be in memory loss would realise that something has happened to the memory. Everybody in memory loss would rather try strongly to search for their past.
Kaajjal is shown as foolishly claiming Adi to be her husband without even thinking why she is unable to remember her meeting with Adi. She is not even asking for their marriage photos or marriage certificate.
Kaajjal surely has been foolish at times, but now they made her character completely illogical and into a brainless woman. Memory loss doesn't mean somebody would behave so brainlessly. For eg: If a person forgot where he/she kept her purse, he/she will search for it. Just like that, Kaajjal should be shown as searching for her past with a stronger urge. Kaajjal seems to be cool about the fact that she doesn't remember anything about herself or even the faces of her parents. They did surely make Kaajjal's character completely useless.
Now Kaajjal is the central character of the serial. So how can they make the main character itself so brainless? Kaajjal always was shown as a girl with an inquisitive mind and memory loss won't make an inquisitive girl- a brainless person.
If you or i were in Dev's place, then Dev would surely go to Aditya and tell him all the truth about how Kaajjal ran away from Mumbai. But to drag the serial, they are not making Dev speak out the truth. That wouldn't happen in real life, when somebody is passionate about getting back his love.
If you or i were in Adi's place, then Aditya would surely try to atleast find out if Kaajjal is married, has a kid or has a lover or a family. What he is doing, no person would do. Nobody would try to possess a girl, who he found a few days back with a memory loss. All the virtues in his character are reduced to zero when he thought in that way. A person who is concerned about others and want others to be happy, wouldn't act so impulsively and agree for the marriage. He didn't even think of why Dev was after Kaajjal before asking him to get out of his house. Now that is the most improbable way in which a person like Adi should be acting.
Adi's mother and sister also inspite of being shown as very businesslike and intelligent, end up as foolish people when they ask Adi to marry Kaajjal inspite of knowing that she has lost her memory. Any mother if she comes to know of the memory loss, would ask his son to find out about the girl's family and try his best to take her back to where she belongs to, before even thinking about getting his son married to her. That removed the grace of those characters too.
If you or i were in Satya's place, then Satya would surely search for his dearest daughter. Now the writers of the serial lost it, when they showed a father who is not interested in even searching for his daughter and went away somewhere(perhaps back to Mussourie). Would there be any father, who wouldn't search for his lost daughter?
The writers of the serial are making the characters behave illogically and thus stretching the serial. That is making all the Kaajjalians here upset and that is what is making the trps go down. We all are not infact upset with the characters, but what is upsetting us is the bloopers in the serial and the illogical behaviour of the characters. We cannot say that everything happening is destiny.
In the name of destiny, the producers and the writers cannot show Kaajjal running away with a villager in Bhadrapur and marrying his brother or Sonia going and marrying Dev on the same mandap in which Adi is marrying Kaajjal.
At one hand Kaajjal is shown as curious to know about her past and on the other hand, she is blindly and strongly believing that Aditya is her husband. Now that is a huge contrast.
This kind of contradictions in the characters and in the storyline, brings down the beauty of the characters as well as of the serial itself. We cannot name everything in a serial as destiny. We cannot term a completely illogical scene in a serial as destiny. Our brains won't be able to accept completely illogical scenes and stories. The serial has to connect with ourselves or those around us. But this kind of illogical characters won't be found on the face of earth. š
Now it is really the destiny of the serial 'Kaajjal' that the serial had to get low trps. š Perhaps that is why the characters are shown as behaving so illogically. It is really sad that such talented actors are made to act in such unbelievable and brainless ways. It is the actors and their characters who are suffering because of this and the audience is also suffering because of the brainless twists in the story.
Anyway, let us, hope that the serial's destiny is better in the coming days. š Waiting to see some new twist that would bring back life into the characters and make them behave more sensibly. š³
