Dev, the industrialist and owner of Radio City met Kajjal at Mussourie and they had fights. But after Dev saves Kajjal's father from an accident, she is thankful to Dev, but Dev was still in an angry mood with Kajjal because Kajjal had insulted him a lot.
Dev is one of the judges of the Rj hunt for Radio city and Kajjal wins the RJ hunt. Following this, she reaches Mumbai and comes to know that Dev is her boss there. Kajjal starts falling in love with Dev and Dev initially doesn't respond. But soon he too start feeling attracted to Kajjal. Dev's mother Nayantara and his aunt Panna chachi support it, but Amisha(Dev's sister-in-law and wife of Veer) doesn't want Dev to fall in love with Kajjal.So she tries to create distance between them.
In the middle of this, Dev's friend-Dhruv enters the scene and he too falls in love with Dev(triangle love story).
Dev comes to know that he would die because of a period of Sanidasa in his life and he can be saved only by his true love(which is kajjal). But if she tries to save him, his Sanidasa will go to her. Dev starts thinking of bringing together Dhruv and Kajjal because he doesn't want Kajjal to die. Dev had already been married before and his wife Payal had died. He therefore wants Kajjal to live a long life with Dhruv. Amisha also weaves her plans to get Dhruv and Kajjal together. But Kajjal is madly in love with Dev and when she comes to know of Dev's Sanidasa, she shows her willingness to die after being wife of Dev.
Dev and Kajjal decide to get married. Then there is an accident and they find Dev's car and a dead body which is similar to that of Dev. So everybody thinks Dev is dead. But Kajjal doesn't believe it. She goes in search of Dev and meets Raju Rangeela of Rajgani(an illiterate tourist guide), who is a look-alike of Dev. Raju tells Kajjal that he is not Dev and even gives proof for that(But he is the actual Dev) đ .
He and his younger brother Pauwa and his so-called love interest Chameli are able to convince Kajjal that he is Raju Rangeela.
Kajjal comes to know that Dev's elder brother Karan and Amisha were behind murder of Dev. Kajjal want to get them punished for this and she asks for Raju's help to come as Dev to Mumbai. Finally after much persuasion he agrees and then he behaves as if he is Dev and is able to convince everybody in an amazing manner.
Dev's mother decide to get Raju married to Kajjal, but Kajjal has objection to it,because she always loved Dev. She tries to protest and run away, but Raju goes after her and tells her that he is actually the real Dev. He gives her solid proof of that and she too is convinced.
Then Karan calls up on Dev's phone(Kajjal picks up the phone). Then Karan speaks as if to Raju and says that they need to kill Dev's mother. Hearing this Kajjal gets doubt on Dev and thinks that he is Raju Rangeela. By this time, Dev had made arrangements for their marriage. But just before marriage, Kajjal tells Dev's mother that Dev is not really Dev, but his look-alike Raju Rangeela. Dev's mother get upset and by this time, Karan places some marbles on the staircase. Dev's mother while coming down the stairs trips on the marbles and falls down the stairs.
She gets hospitalised. Dev donates his blood to his mother saying that their blood group is the same. He thus proves to everyone that he is the real Dev and not Raju Rangeela. But Dev's mother dies and Dev gets upset on Kajjal for telling his mother that he is Raju and thinks that because of her shocked mind, she tripped and fell down the stairs.
Dev behaves rudely to Kajjal and tells her that he has no more relations with her. Kajjal gets mentally upset and finally ends up in a blank state of mind. She leaves her house and starts walking as if she has no consciousness. She goes to railway station and enters train and in her bad mental state, she is about to fall off the train, when she is saved by Aditya.
Some of the travellers misunderstand Aditya to be her husband and in her bad mental state, she enters into a forgetful mode. She forgets everything about her past- about her place, about Dev and everything else. She remembers only her name Kajjal and at times, gets blurred images of Dev pushing her out of his house. She lands up at Bhadrapur in that state and Aditya takes her to his home. There she starts thinking that Aditya is his wife.
A doctor who tests her says that she has brain fever and partial memory loss. So Aditya has to behave as if he is Kajjal's husband till she is ok.
Dev meanwhile comes to know that Kajjal was innocent and it was Karan and Amisha who were responsible for his mother's death. Karan is made to leave the house and Amisha after much pleading gets to stay in the house. Dev goes in search of Kajjal. He gives an ad in newspaper and some goons from Bhadrapur seeing her sketch in newspaper try to kidnap her and take her to Dev to get money. But before they could take her to Dev, Kajjal is saved.
Dev meets Sonia, sister of Aditya. Sonia happens to reach Bhadrapur and comes to know that Kajjal is Aditya's wife. So she takes a photo of hers and Dev happens to see Kajjal's photo in Sonia's cellphone. Dev finds out about Bhadrapur from Sonia and sees Kajjal there, but she runs away from him thinking he was trying to kidnap her. Dev decides to stay there and he meets Aditya accidentally and Aditya takes Dev to his house and gives him shelter. Next day, Dev again finds Kajjal and he again tries to speak to her and in fear, Kajjal goes unconscious.
Aditya comes there and he takes Kajjal to hospital and Dev is shocked to hear Aditya referring to Kajjal as his wife. Kajjal regains consciousness and she hugs Aditya and Dev is looking in a shocked state of mind. đł
