Part 1

Jyoti joins the kids in the playground, and starts playing w/ them. The principal, who is accompanying her, tells her that she's doing this like a pro - like she's been @ it for years. Jyoti goes around playing w/ the other kids, while the principal is called away by some other kids.

Kabir arrives and calls Jyoti, and Jyoti goes up to him and asks him why is he here (Jyoti, it wouldn't be necessary if you keep your appointments w/ him, instead of just making half baked compromises for the sake of Deepu) Kabir asks her why is she asking him - didn't they decide that they'll come together? He tells her that she's strange - she's started working right away, didn't even tell him, turned off her phone, what's the matter? Before Jyoti can answer, the principal joins them and asks Kabir how he can be of service 😆 He asks Jyoti if Kabir came to met her, and guesses that Kabir must have come to admit his kid 😆😆 He shows him the principal's office (w/o telling him that he is the principal 😆😆) and adds that if he goes there, he'll get all the info he needs 😆😆 (this was the funny part of today's episode 😆 and a breather for Jyoti) Kabir gets a breather when the same kid calls back the principal (uncle, just like Pankaj 😆) and he looks askance @ Jyoti. The principal comes back @ asks Kabir that he's still there, and Kabir assures him he'll leave. The principal is called off again, and Kabir tells Jyoti that it looks like she wants to tell him something, but can't. He then goes away, signaling Jyoti to call him later.

Jyoti is walking towards the office when a little girl bumps into her. She tells Jyoti that it's her school, and Jyoti tells her that it's her school as well. She asks the girl whether she will be friends. Just then, the girl's mom - pictured below - joins them, and the girl tells her that she's made a new friend.
The mom asks Jyoti whether she's a teacher, and tells her that the girl's name is Bubbly. She tells Jyoti that today only, she was admitted, and Jyoti says she too, and then clarifies that she's just joined today. She introduces herself, and the mom introduces herself as Ritu.

In Pankaj's home, Neelam is trying to make up w/ Pankaj, but he rejects all her efforts and snubs her, since all he seems to now want is his kid.

Bubbly is trying to get a teddy bear from another girl, but the girl tells her that it was given to her by her dad, and so she can't part w/ it. Bubbly becomes sad and runs to Ritu, and buries her head in her lap and asks why her dad doesn't give her toys, or come to see her
😭 Ritu is embarrassed, but tells Bubbly that good girls don't cry, and that just as this didi is now her friend, she's going to make a lot of friends, and sends her off to play.

Ritu then tells Jyoti that Bubbly doesn't have a dad. She tells him that whenever she sees other kids w/ their dads, she gets unhappy and asks when will papa come, what will he bring, why does he never come to see me (do you blame her?) She always makes up an excuse, and Jyoti asks her what exactly happened? Ritu tells her that due to some misunderstandings b/w them in their marriage, when Bubbly was 2, Ritu's hubby divorced her. His family dubbed her characterless. Everybody told her to contest it, but Ritu thought to herself that when the trust in the relationship is not there, what's the point in salvaging the relationship? At that point, she just wanted her daughter, and walked out of his life for good. Jyoti asks her whether she still talks to her? Ritu tells her that in between, he did try to get back and apologize, saying that he realized that he was wrong, but by then, it was too late for Ritu - she had already moved on. She had experienced a lot on her own, and probably had transformed completely. Therefore, she refused to re-join him. He then told her that if she refused to come back, fine, but then he'd take Bubbly away from her. She then contested this in court, and fortunately prevailed. After losing, her hubby became more violent and started threatening her family that if Bubbly wasn't turned over, he'd kill them all. Ritu didn't want her family to be endangered due to her, and therefore, she left that city w/ Bubbly and came here to a new city w/ a new identity. She also tells Jyoti that she hasn't told anybody her story, but somehow felt right about telling Jyoti. She however apologizes to her just in case she upset her. Jyoti notes to herself that her story is very similar to Jyoti (except for the part about your family being threatened, so far) and that if she can manage her kid, so can Jyoti.

Part 2

Neelam is @ a loss of what to do, since Pankaj is in no mood to forgive her, while even Gautam has left her high & dry (Neelam, both are cheating on you - Pankaj wants his baby, now that he knows it's his. While our entertainment demands that you stick to Pankaj like a leech, as far as your own interests go, take the divorce plus alimony, and start looking for a new guy) Just then, her phone rings, and it's Gautam. She goes to another room and asks him how he dared call her, and why didn't he pick her up? Gautam tells her that he didn't want that due to him, her life get ruined (what a prince - exactly what he did b4 Neelam's wedding) He tells her he has nothing to offer her (Neelam, you could have told him that he could be more willing to come to her parties than Pankaj, and meet her tycoon friends) Neelam asks him so what should she do, and Gautam tells him to do whatever the Vashist parivar did to her - if she wants, she can give them a fitting reply, and save their lives as well. Neelam asks how, and Gautam tells her that he's heard that the Vashists have a lot of jewelry (I'm loving this already 👏) He asks her to get all of them to him, and they'll settle in another place very luxuriously. Neelam is shocked @ being asked to steal, but Gautam tells her that she's just asserting her rights. Sometimes, rights need to be snatched, and this is one way that they can both be happy. Neelam is stunned. She tells him she'll call him later.

Jyoti returns home, and Deepu opens the door. He asks her why she's so late, and asks her to sit, and asks Poonam to get her some water. He asks Jyoti whether she joined the job today itself, and Jyoti tells him that since it was vacant, she joined it right away. Deepu tells her that she didn't think even once about her health even once - that job would have stayed for her tomorrow as well. Poonam tells Sandeep that advice should be given to one who'd listen, and anyway, Jyoti is one who only does whatever she feels like (Agree w/ her on this one) She asks him why he keeps repeating himself?

Padma enters and yells @ Poonam (😲 Didn't think Padma was capable of it) - she asks her whether yesterday's fiasco wasn't enough for her, and that she had to restart? She accuses her of saying whatever she feels like, and demands that she apologizes. This time, Deepu gets up in Poonam's defense, and asks her what exactly did Poonam say for which she needs to apologize? Both Padma & Jyoti are shocked. While her style may be faulty, her intentions were good - whatever she asked was in the interests of both Jyoti didi & her kid. Dadi enters and derisively congratulates Deepu, telling him that he's talking like the bahurani, and teaching his mom? (Actually, this part I liked - Deepu standing up for Poonam against his mom) Deepu tries to explain, but Dadi shuts him up. She tells him that he argued w/ Jyoti and hurt her, argued w/ her dad and made him ill (poor babies - can't argue on their own w/o getting a haemorrage) She tells him that he's now arguing w/ his mom? Deepu tells her that he'll let anybody say anything they like, and seal his lips. Padma asks him to lower his voice, and tells him that he doesn't even sense that his father is unwell. Poonam perks up and tells Padma that just as Padma is concerned about the well being of her hubby (👏
I like how she described KK as Padma's husband, rather than as their dad 😈) similarly Poonam too is concerned about the honor of her hubby. She's just been done massaging his shoulders since he's been working overtime just so that there are no shortages of anything in the house, so that Jyoti didi can get her meds on time, and he's the one being asked to shut up? She says that this is enough.

KK joins in the party, and tells Deepu that in this house, the elders command, and the youngers obey (yep, we've all seen how well that's worked to date) and to take her to another room and explain things to her. Deepu asks whether simply by being young, they have no right to say anything? Poonam is the bahu and a member of the family, so why should he take her away to her room? KK is shocked and then invites Poonam to say whatever she wishes to say. Poonam says that she doesn't have anything to say - it's others who are gossiping about Jyoti & Kabir. Even her parents have to hear all this. Today, her mom called her and told her that one of her friends had seen the 2 of them together (why can't Jyoti and KK tell them BFD, instead of asserting the privileges of elders, etc) She asks them what should her mom tell such people? Jyoti intervenes and suggests the truth. She also asks Poonam why she's bringing them into the picture, and Deepu asks her to let her finish her point. If only someone brings up Kabir's name, she... Jyoti is about to intervene, and Poonam invites her to continue, and Jyoti stops. She tells Poonam that when all the respect of the relationship is gone, there is no point in discussing this further. She tells Deepu that she's heard what he and Poonam have to say, and she doesn't have to give any explanations, since she knows what she is doing. She gets up, and Poonam tells her that since this subject has been brought up, let it be concluded today itself. It's only cowards who flee situations, who have malice in their minds (so nice to know that's not you, Poonam!)

KK starts gasping, and tells her that he'll answer every question of hers, and that if he doesn't do it today, tomorrow, she'll tell him anything. He asks Poonam what she wants to say. Poonam tells him that they are taking out all their rage on her, and to ask Jyoti-didi what exactly is her relationship w/ Kabir. It was due to these conversations that Sandeep lost his first job, and from what they heard yesterday, they couldn't repeat. She says that Jyoti doesn't care about Deepu at all, or else, she'd have stopped seeing Kabir by now. Instead, she comes there to just give her lectures, while they have to live w/ the consequences of her actions. Nobody questions Jyoti b'cos uptil now, she's been running this house. Everybody is shocked, and stares @ her.

Part 3

Kabir enters in the middle of all this, and greets them, and notices all the tension. He asks Deepu what happened, and Deepu tells him that this is a family affair, and that he knows that Kabir did a lot for them, but right now, he'd like him to leave. Kabir says he will, but asks what is the issue that he'll be able to solve? Deepu tells him that yeah, he too can say anything, everybody has the right to speak except himself and his wife. Dadi pleads w/ Deepu to stop, and tells him that his mind has been completely poisoned by Poonam.
Jyoti asks Kabir to leave as well, and Kabir tries to object, but Jyoti repeats what Deepu says, trembling, and Kabir takes the cue and leaves.

Poonam then turns to Deepu and suggests to him that before they are ordered to by anybody, it's better that they follow a new path for themselves (fantastic👏, but why did you have to drive out Kabir is that's what you were going to do?) Everybody is shocked to hear her, and Padma dares her to tell them what exactly she wants to say. Poonam tells her that there was no use in living under a roof where they couldn't freely and honorably discuss what they needed to discuss. As it is, where her hubby isn't respected, she doesn't want to stay there at all. She announces that they are separating - from this house, and its members. Everybody looks @ her shocked.

Comments

So looks like the stage is set for Deepu & Poonam too leaving the house. Question is does this imply their exit from the show? First Suday, then Brishma and now Sannam. So only one who would be left would be Jyoti, but at least she won't have to support any Sushmas or Poonams. And if KK dies of shock next week - which I'm thinking - they may be paving the way for Jyoti's maayka to disappear altogether, leaving her alone to decide what's good for her and her fetus.

Only thing - if Poonam & Deepu were planning to leave the house, what was the need of throwing out Kabir? Afraid that he'd force them to stay? And somehow, Padma is no more on Poonam's side - what changed her? But one thing I was glad @ about Poonam was when she told Sandeep @ the end that they jump before being pushed. Yeah, KK will get a haemorrhoid, but it's just as well that they bail out of this overly sanctimonious zoo. I liked their reaction to Poonam, but somewhere, this had to end. I wonder if Padma would have any more objections to Deepu being a ghar jamai. Incidentally, this is the first episode where I saw Deepu stand up for Poonam - it looked like in the end, he could either pick the side of his parents, or Poonam. If he had picked his parents and Poonam had left, his job would have gone, his dependence on Jyoti would have re-surfaced, w/ all the resentment that went w/ it. So this was probably for the best. Following this, maybe Padma can call Brij and ask him to be their ghar jamai, since Brij soooo wants a family, and Kabir can only fake it for sooooo long. 😆

I also don't like Jyoti turning her resentment against Kabir everytime something goes wrong. It's a 'na ghar ka na ghat ka' situation. Either she agrees w/ Deepu, or w/ her own instincts on Kabir. If Kabir is still a friend in her mind, she ought to honor that, keep her appointments w/ him so that he doesn't have to intrude when she's working. If she is going to distance herself from Kabir to make them happy (let's face it - that's the only reason for her not waiting for him and allowing him to pick her up), then why not do everything Deepu & Poonam ask, so that at least the peace in the family is maintained? Just pick a side! Any side! And while I don't like Deepu & Poonam trying to dictate her relationship w/ Kabir, one thing Poonam is right about - Jyoti simply does do whatever she feels like.

I liked Jyoti's conversation w/ Ritu, even though I still disagree w/ the apparent premise of the show that a single parent family is at all good for a kid. However, a lot of the things that Ritu told Jyoti - like how her hubby divorced her when Bubbly was 2, how he came back for forgiveness but Ritu rejected her, how they fought in court, how he threatened her and her family and how Ritu ultimately left the city and moved to Udaipur - all seem to drive Jyoti's instincts against reconciliation w/ Pankaj. If Ritu could be divorced when Bubbly is 2, Jyoti can be re-divorced by Pankaj if she goes back to him - thier pyaar ka nishani won't be able to stop it. That should put the kabash on her going back to Pankaj on the expectation that this time, things will be different. I also think Ritu might have more influence on Jyoti's decision than Padma, since Ritu has been thru this similar situation, while Padma is just copying Kabir 😆 One thing - if Pankaj decides to contest her in court, Jyoti will be in an ugly situation, having previously perjured herself during the divorce hearings, but it will be tougher for Pankaj given his contention in court that Jyoti had that baby long after leaving him. Also, another question - is Ritu going to be a phase, just like Sarika was for Sushma?

On the single parent business, one thing that did strike me - Bubbly was upset that her father didn't give her toys or come to see her. For this, given what was said, I know others may not agree, but I tend to blame Ritu. Granted, that her hubby's violent reactions to being cut out of his kid's life was uncalled for, but since Ritu made a unilateral decision to shut him out of Bubbly's life, I tend to think more strongly that Ritu (and apparently Jyoti later) are ignoring the interests of their kids by clinging to them like leeches. Either get them their fathers, or a father, or adopt them into 2 parent childless families. Or else, you're frequently going to run into these issues. This time, it's just a toy, but there are going to be a lot of occasions when a kid - boy or girl - will miss its dad. I still don't agree that the decision to raise a kid on one's own is the right one, although I know many will disagree.

Finally, Neelam - why does she keep entertaining Gautam @ all? And what he's suggesting - why do it when she can do it more smoothly by accepting Pankaj's alimony offer, leaving him and marrying Gautam - although she'd be an idiot to still trust him. I didn't like this track today - Neelam is making it easier for Pankaj to divorce him, and then get back to Jyoti. I want Neelam to keep sticking to Pankaj like a leech long enough until Jyoti either marries Kabir, or disappears from Udaipur. All that said, it would be wonderfully ironic if Neelam makes all the Vashist jewelry disappear, after all the grief Bhairavi gave Jyoti & Sudha over just pawning/lending their jewelry)

However, I just loved Gautam's suggestion that Neelam loot them of all jewelry. Jyoti got grief from CM for pawning her maayka given jewelry, while Sudha got grief for lending it to Sushma. This time, I hope Neelam empties all those jewelry cases that Sudha returned to Bhairavi, and more, so that Bhairavi's jewelry style matches Sudha's. In fact, I even hope Neelam bails out Ratan (remember him?) and gets him back into the house and uses him to rob all that, and get it back from him later. Although she could hurt the Vashists just as easily w/ the alimony, although that may not apply if she marries Gautam. Assuming that he even wants her.

Included a pop poll above - who do you think should leave the Sharma household? Choices listed above.

Episode rating: 👍🏼👍🏼

Highs: Ritu narrating her story to Jyoti, particularly the parts where she successfully kept her hubby away and moved out of the city, Deepu & Poonam leaving

Lows: Deepu-Poonam driving Kabir out before announcing that they are leaving

I think the time has come for jyoti to leave that house unless and until she step out of that house nothing is going to change in her life and she should not even take the step to marry kabir if she is not completely agreed to the decision there are many great women in India who grew up their child without their father jijamata the mother of shivaji maharaj he was very young when jijamata lost her husband but then also she grew her son and today her sons name is taken with so much pride and respect.

Jhansi ki rani when she lost her husband her baby was very small and she too was very young but then also she was trying to grow up her child and the most important thing that she was handling two work together that is growing her child and cleaning her house that is India from the britishers so if jyoti is getting married for her child then that is completely rubbish. If she goes back to pankaj then also what had happened with her in previous days is not going get rubbed of and secondly if she gets married to kabir then also people are going to question her that whose child is she carrying??????????

And most important thing on what basis padma is trying to sent jyoti back in pankaj's life because every one are unaware of the misunderstanding that is taking place between pankaj and neelam and why is she not thinking that there was complete consent from his side to the marriage.

^^^ I don't think that royal examples, like Jijabai or Rani Lakhsmibai, are standard examples to follow. In Jijabai's case, she lived in a mansion since Shahaji was an officer of the sultan of Bijapur. So she had an entire staff to help her raise Shivaji.

In the case of Rani Lakshmibai, first of all, her kid was adopted for the purpose of keeping Jhansi independent, and within that royal family. Note that she had given birth to a baby who died very young, and shortly thereafter, her husband died. However, before he died, he adapted a kid and announced to the kingdom that that was his successor and Rani Lakshmibai was the regent. Her entire war w/ the Brits was over their refusal to recognize the adoption, and instead try and annex her kingdom on the pretext that the dynasty had ended from their POV.

And here too, as far as childrearing went, she had the entire royal staff to help her w/ that kid. Hardly in the shoes of Ritu or Jyoti.

Kids are going to ask about their dads. It's one thing if their dads are dead, as in the case of Rani Lakshmibai's husband. It's a totally different thing if they are alive but separate. In case the mom re-marries and her hubby is willing to be a dad to that kid, it's different, although the kid has to realize that this is not its genetic, but relational dad. And if it has a good relationship w/ dad (think John Travolta in the movie 'Look who's talking too'), things will be just fine.

Be it adopted child but she try ed to grow up when she was so young and even when her husband was dead .
Secondly jijamata grew her son be it she lived in a mansion(even pankaj live in a mansion then why bhairavi tortured jyoti every time) but it is not possible for a single mother to grew her baby as i have read in this forum written by some forum member, then also jijamata brought him up and most important thing why no body had guts to take shivaji maharaj's place in this era.

Either way, you are just too funny ... Honestly, you and I will always differ on the adoption issue, and also the single parent issue. I don't think that Jyoti needs to get married so her husband can be a father to the kid. Indian men usually don't accept someone else's kid as their own 100%. They may in the beginning, but when their own kids come, that child is neglected. I wouldn't want that! The funny thing is that if Deepu leaves the house on his wife's say so, then does this mean that Jyoti becomes the only earning person again?

Jyoti was super annoying today. I felt bad for Kabir, who was the one who found her the job in the first place, and was totally rejected from all sides today by everyone. And whats with the "haan, ji, umm.." stuff that she keeps saying whenever someone asks her a question??
Poonam and Deepu were at their worsts today and it was a pleasant surprise seeing Padma stand up for Jyoti. I doubt Poonam-Deepu will be leaving though. The meeting with Ritu earlier today paves the way for Jyoti deciding to leave instead, which is what I think will happen. Lately, she's been feeling guilty for her family fighting daily abt her. So she'll use this situation to leave and start a new life on her own.
Anyone notice how Jyoti suddenly started showing today? Uptil yesterday her stomach was pretty flat... and today its suddenly bulging? Weird!
I'm glad Jyoti got a chance to see that marriage isn't everything and life can go on, even as a single parent. Vrisha, i can see where ur coming from with Ritu unfairly shutting her husband from her daughter's life. I cant say much in her case since I dont know the details. But Jyoti should never ever give Pankaj any sort of rights over her child. Pankaj publicly disowned his child and signed an agreement to never return to reclaim it. In that case, the child is probably better off without a father.
Today was overall a pretty interesting episode, and tomorrow I really hope we can see Jyoti taking a stand and leaving the house once and for all!

Agree to disagree on both issues - adoption and single parenthood. On the haemorrhoid, I meant hemorrhage - the cranial bleeding. 🤣

On Deepu's leaving the house, I don't want KK, Dadi & Padma, particularly Padma, stuck on Jyoti. In fact, I'm disappointed that Padma has taken KK & Jyoti's side on this one. I wanted the family to bifurcate - Padma, Deepu & Poonam on one side, and KK, Dadi & Jyoti on the other. The latter group - Jyoti should marry Kabir, and all move into his home - he'll be glad to have them. And Poonam can move into a better neighborhood so that her friends from the Gulf (of all places, in a Rajasthan household) can be less embarrassed by having to go to the Kamal Nivas locality.

But since Deepu & Poonam are poised to move, what I want is that Brij & Sushma be asked to be the ghar jamai for KK & Padma. I can't see St Brij refusing - can you? 😆 I don't want them to be dependent on Jyoti again. Let Brij support them, while Sushma gets the help of Padma & Dadi after she's given birth, and maybe, Sushma too can work while Padma & Dadi take care of the kid. Incidentally, what happened to her exams? Or further studies? Or is Brij's income supposed to enable her to live like a queen?

Yep, that's what I want - Brij & Sushma supporting KK, Dadi & Padma, while Jyoti moves out of that house. In the poll above, I selected all 3.

Kru

Agree w/ you on Pankaj. However, the point I was making was that kids - particularly when they are growing up - are going to expect their dads to be around them, and miss them when they aren't. That's true of Bubbly here, and it will be true of Jyoti's kid, regardless of what Pankaj did. So if Jyoti doesn't want to give it to Pankaj, fine, but she's doing it a great injustice by denying it a father.

I doubt that Jyoti will leave as yet - if she does, then the idea Padma has been getting of trying to re-unite her & Pankaj will come to naught. I think this drama today was there for the purpose of enabling Varun & Geetu to exit the show, and it's a bit trickier to get rid of them than it was Uday & Sudha. I also now think the Brij track was done for the sake of getting rid of Sushma, so that in the end, KK, Dadi and Padma have only Jyoti to fall back on.

But I do want Jyoti to leave, so that her contact w/ Padma ends for good. That way, it'll be more difficult for her to try and re-unite Jyoti w/ Pankaj. Since next week, it looks like they'll be showing the triangle of Kabir, Jyoti & Pankaj, the only way I see Pankaj re-entering Jyoti's picture is Padma enabling that, and for that, Jyoti has to stay on for now. They might however kill off KK - the way he has been coughing & gasping the last 2 episodes.

Nice update!

But I am sorry Vrisha, I don't agree with you on the Ritu comment. For some families, having no husband is better than a violent one. There are several women who stay with their violent husbands just for the sake of their children, and in the process get beaten and raped. And not every child needs a mother and a father to make them a good human being. Every situation is different, but when it comes to domestic violence, it is best to get out while a person can. And just because Ritu is a single mother does not mean that she needs to give her up own child to a 2 parent childless family. There women all over the world who are getting in-vitro fertilization, and raising those children by themselves and are doing fine. And so what if the mother has to answer her kid's question of "why isn't my daddy here blah blah". That mother knows she will get those questions and you know what she might have a good answer. Also, neighbors and friends can help fill up void of not having a father or mother. They can be there just as much as a father or mother can be. In some areas, neighbors become almost family.

Let me ask you this, what if their father died when the child was at a young age, would you still tell the mother to give up her child to a 2 parent childless family just so that the kid can have a mom and a dad? I mean technically, she is a single mother now because the the father is no longer alive.
