I think that woman cannot have a baby and is offering to adopt the baby.

I think so too. And if that's the case, Sushma should take it. She can always have another baby if and after she marries again.

yes I think so too, but no mom can seperate easily, itsll be very tough but if she does ,she could evntually get rid of her ex. If she doesnt then he will later on come back in her life and use the kid to weasel his way back in the family.

Just like Sushma took a brave and tough decision re: her education, she has to do likewise re: the baby as well

Ditto... I also think that the woman is offering to adopt Sushi's baby...

But as always, the CVs have to show shocked faces and constipated expressions for nothing major..Sushma's accident would become totally unnecessary if the woman's words arent related to adopting her kid...

Hope she doesnt ask Sushma to recommend her to Jyoti to make her also join some school.. that would be funny..

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your baby. But I'd submit that giving a baby away to assure it a better future is something very different from death.

But love doesn't just mean holding on tightly to one's kid - it also means sacrificing to give it a better future, even @ the cost of one's own happiness. Most single parents, by which I mean mainly out of wedlock parents, would have a tough time managing a kid and a job, which is why 2 parents are needed. Besides, there are paternal roles that mothers can't do, and maternal roles that fathers can't, so it is important for kids to have both parents. Mahmansma covered it very well here.

A lot of people, particularly in the above category, realize this, and adapt out their kids. This is not b'cos they don't love them, but precisely b'cos they do, that they are willing to give them to a normal family rather than cling on to them just for their own happiness. So if Sushma does it, she may be temporarily hurt, but she's not likely to feel guilty. And whenever she does get a new hubby and gets pregnant again, that pain will be past her.

she should give the baby for adoption. Sushma is too young herself and is not ready to take care of the baby. She isn't ready for that kind of responsiblity. It is for the good of both, baby and sushma that she should get prepared to give the baby for adoption. Ofcourse, she should ensure that the person or the couple adopting the baby are genuine and are not cons.
