Poor Poonam! Deepu to leave the Sharma house?

I keep thinking that Poonam is really going to resent Jyoti in the future ...
First, Jyoti comes looking for a match for her brother ... and everyone is happy. The two meet and like each other ...
BUT
Deepu postponed the wedding since Jyoti divorce was pending. Poonam cries to her mother that Deepu loves his sisters more than he loves her, but her mother says that a man who loves his sisters can show a lot of love to his wife ... Poonam is not convinced.
Then, at the mandap, Deepu again stops the wedding thus embarassing Poonam and her family, because Jyoti is not there ...
Never does Deepu think of Poonam's feelings when he makes these decisions ...
In the future, more of these misunderstandings will happen. And Poonam will be resentful. Like the movie Ek Vivaah Aisi Bhi - the sister gives up everything for her siblings, and then the siblings in thanks to their sister highly respect everything their sister wants, and the wife becomes resentful.
My feeling is that something similar will occur - Poonam will become resentful of Jyoti and the family and then want to leave. Jyoti will convince Deepu to go with Poonam and Jyoti will again be responsible for taking care of the family ...

I doubt that will happen, given the positive attitude of Poonam's family towards Jyoti - if it weren't for that relative who protested @ Jyoti's absense to the point of almost walking out, Jyoti wouldn't be attending today.

I do sympathize w/ Poonam - she has no idea of what's going on, and is caught in the crossfire b/w Jyoti and Bhairavi. It was wrong of Jyoti to agree to this condition, or alternately, if she did, she should have told Poonam's party that in advance, so that expectations were managed. Since neither happened, what resulted was an embarrasment @ the wedding.
Also, Padma, who never cared about step-daughters/neices Jyoti or Sudha, is very sensitive to Poonam's needs - look @ how she demanded an AC for Poonam. So if Poonam has any rifts w/ Jyoti, which I doubt, Padma will be her upmost ally. But I think the Trivedis will replace the Vashisths as the foremost in-laws of the Sharmas, and after today, I also think Jyoti will be less masochist about making her folks swallow insults from CM.

Poonam looked pretty pissed, if you ask me, and she was the one person (aside from CM) who wasn't happy when Jyoti entered.
I don't think Poonam and Deepu will leave, but I think Poonam will develop a bitter resentment towards Jyoti (because it's not enough to have one negative person in the house, you need to have 2!)
Ican't really blame her. Deepu is insensitive enough to just stop the wedding. Then when Jyoti came, he got up to go to her. I would be pretty resentful too

^^^^^This would make Poonam the second person in the serial who started off as someone who liked Jyoti, but became resentful towards Jyoti because of Jyoti's own actions. The first one would be Gayatri.
Well, Padma would be glad to have one ally. It's sad, but I agree w/ you - Poonam is being embarrassed every step of the way as a result of Jyoti forcing Deepu to marry before her issues are resolved. Also, the only reason Poonam agreed to this was Deepu, but he seems to be putting her low in his list of priorities. Actually, Deepu's original request to be left alone until Jyoti's & Sushma's issues were resolved made perfect sense, although Jyoti, playing champion philosopher, went on to screw w/ his life, and also Poonam's.
I don't think that Poonam will leave w/ Deepu just b'cos Jyoti asks. If Poonam thinks that Deepu is ignoring her beyond a tolerable level, she'll simply divorce him and walk out. After all, the Trivedis, unlike Padma, don't give a whole lot of stock into what their neighbors think, and are more interested in what their daughter wants. Then that great man KK will have 3/4 divorced kids, who can then dance in the candlelight w/ his wife and mom.

🤣 🤣 🤣

Very funny @ Then that great man KK will have 3/4 divorced kids, who can then dance in the candlelight w/ his wife and mom.

KK is in the list of losers big time but I donno what his rank is at the moment... may be if he succeeds is getting all kids divorced, he will top the chart..lol

Poonam wasnt happy with the way her wedding happened..very true... she came happy , sat down happy but married with a sad face.. not a good start for Deepu's life... but Deepu being Deepu, his priorities would be his family but Poonam ain't gonna like that dude.. May be the whole family should stop being dependent on Jyoti so much... give her a break and let her handle her own problems first..

We'll have to wait and see how Poonam bonds with her sasuraal family...if Deepu's bride was Panchi who likes Jyoti, then everything would have gone smooth..but Poonam probably would have a grey side to her.. hope not..coz already so many grey and dark characters have formed against poor Jyoti ...awwwwww

^^^^ I don't think Uday & Sudha can ever break up, so this is the best it can be for KK. The only chance of it was during the Devika exposure, where had Sudha's problem never been diagnosed, she'd have never married, and then the score would have been 3 divorcees, 1 never married.
Actually, Poonam too seemed to like Jyoti, like the other day when she was talking about the color of the car. So from her POV, she gets hitched to Deepu, her father is going to give Deepu a car, etc and in return, first Deepu unilaterally postpones the wedding, and now, he again creates a scene there. Of course, the Trivedis might explain to Poonam that the first time, it was Jyoti who salvaged things by signing on to the divorce, while this time, by coming, she saved the wedding from not happening. (Was Poonam glad when Jyoti did the gat bandhan, or was she still sullen?)
Had Panchi been subjected to what Poonam is, she too would be pretty resentful. Also, Deepu should contrast what Mahesh-ji is w/ Panchi's dad, who hated him almost like CM hates Jyoti & Sudha.

Looks like I was right ... Poonam is not able to stay in the house, and wants to go back to her own house ... so will Jyoti hatch a sceme in order to get Sandeep to go with her?

Let Poonam leave. There will be peace in the house. Padma's nagging will be there. But all are accustomed to it ( that includes us viewers)
But Deepu will be caught in the middle. We have to see how he handles all this. I don't think that he will follow Poonam like a henpecked husband as he is deeply involved in his sisters's marriage woes.

the person i feel most sorry for is deepu. he was very explicit about his inablity to marry just yet but nobody wanted to know. now he's the one caught in the middle of everything. whose side should he be on? the woman he's just vowed to spend his future with, that knows nothing about his past or the family members he's spent his whole life with and knows everything about? he shouldn't really have to make such a decision because any decent human wouldn't put any other one in such a position. poonam needs to be more understanding and take the time out to get to know her husband and his family. but she's too busy making sure there's space for all her junk and that she's comfortable and all her needs are met before anything else. it shows where her priorities lie - with herself. selfish people are not built for marriage because marriage is all about compromise and sometimes sacrifice.
