Do you think Devika actually looks like Sudha?

you should have put maybe option 😆 or not sure
because i mean sudha has a scared look while devika has a confident look...if i met both at different times..i would be curious because i think you can still see that their the same just their look is different

Hmmm - I did think about the Maybe option, but somehow, it just didn't seem an option.

I guess if someone was playing detective, he could overlay the 2 of them and conclude that they are one and the same. But like Uday said, they are such opposites - when Devika preps herself, she's all into style, doing her hair right and everything, while Sudha doesn't think twice about her looks. And then again, there's the fact that Sudha overwhelmingly speaks Hindi, whereas Devika overwhelmingly speaks English - even did so w/ Dadi 😆 But it's not just the scared look - at the wedding, Sudha looked more shy than scared, but she was still very different - at least choti ma didn't confuse the 2, like she did on the first time when Sudha returned the credit card and she had only seen Devika's snapshot on Uday's phone.

At any rate, if one is not sure, or has the response Maybe or Dunno, just write it in.

I think one good plotline would be Jyoti asking Uday to arrange for Devika to join them on a dinner date, in which she will invite Sudha and Pankaj as well. So Devika will be obligated to join them at a pre-appointed time, as will Sudha. Of course, both of them won't be able to make it, and one of them will have to come up w/ a good explanation as to why.

Or the other twist could be - one of them makes it, but turns into the other during the date, thereby revealing all to Uday and Jyoti.

Okay, in today's episode - not once did I think Devika looked remotely like Sudha. Of course, Jyoti's parents, and in tomorrow's precap, Panchi, disagree w/ me 😆

One funny thing they showed - after being ushered in, Devika walks up to Uday and greets him, and Pankaj's parents look at her and say to each other, 'Isn't she Sudha' and 'You just missed Jyoti'. But wouldn't they have wondered that if she was Sudha, what was she doing dating Uday? And when Devika replied, 'Who's Jyoti?', they looked shocked. 😲

sudha has dark cirlcles under her eyes. they just dissappear when she turns to devika!! then where does she get those short disco dresses from? that completely baffles me. and the make up things. sudha dosent have all that.

That's what I thought. As for the dresses, that was explained in a previous episode, when Jyoti saw them lying on the floor, and assumed that Sushma had left them there. Incidentally, those clothes are Sushma's: Sudha never wore them, but when she became Devika, she did. Just goes to show the sort of things Jyoti did get for Sushma. The make-up things too she could easily have borrowed from Jyoti, or they may have been leftovers from Sushma, who never seemed to actually have collected her items even though she was thrown out. So all of Sushma's accessories are used by Devika.

I thought the same thing as you about Pankaj's parents - seeing Sudha in those clothes - wouldn't that have instantly convinced them that she wasn't Sudha? The confident way in which she made her entry, her greeting Uday in English... In fact, language and mannerisms are totally different. From their pov, just contrast the way Sudha spoke during the wedding to Pankaj, vs the way Devika spoke on entering.

One thing about all this, though - when Devika last night described to Bharavi how she had to be independent and self reliant, and that nobody would do things for or give things to her, Bharavi seemed so impressed, and remarked on how similar that was to herself. On top of that, Devika also remarked that if she didn't make her own decisions, others would make them and walk all over her. It was funny to hear Devika's philosophizing. Stuff that Sudha could really live by 😆

Yet, w/ Jyoti, Bharavi was dictating things - from what she wore, how she'd cook, et al. But Devika doesn't look at all like she'd do any cooking if she were to marry Uday, so what does Bharavi expect? That Jyoti would do the cooking on behalf of both herself and Devika? And what if Jyoti were to assert her 'didi' status (here I'm talking about Jyoti being Devika's didi thru marriage, not in terms of her being Sudha's biological didi) and demand that Devika pull her load, what will Bharavi do? Just override her? 😕

Similarly, she fussed over Jyoti's modest sari, but what if Devika wants to wear the same thing after marriage (and you can be sure Uday would love it)? Would Bharavi then try and force Devika into a sari? I can imagine Sudha in a sari, but not Devika 😆

For her sake, I hope Devika and Sudha merge soon.

Today was disappointing. Okay for those who wanted to see the Pankaj-Jyoti honeymoon, but I hated the way they just showed Devika disappear after ignoring Panchi's call. Do they plan to have her magically surface home? Where is this sub-text headed?
