Written Update- June 16th (Complete)

Kalpana shows uncle Jyoti's mehendi and he praises it saying that it is just as unique as his sister wanted. He then tries to give jyoti an envelope but when she says she doesnt want any gifts and just wants his blessings he says that it is not a gift but her salary which he thought she would need. She thanks him and tells kalpana to hold on to it. Uncle teases her about forgetting about salary day because of her wedding and laughs along with kalpana. Jyoti however just looks worried and has a flashback about giving everyone things at home when she got her salary.

At home padma takes groceries from a delivery man and gives him 500 rupees less than she owes him saying that she will give the money to him next time. She also says not to bring crushed atta next time and to bring the grain instead which they can crush themselves. Dadi watches this and when he leaves she says that she can make do without desi ghee as pooja can be done simply and she cant take desi ghee at her age. Kamal is chuckling on the side and dadi asks why. He says he is just observing how everyone's tastes have changed since jyoti left and what has happened to the condition of the house since she left. He says he will miss her because he loves her but even the people that dont love her will miss her because when the foundation of the house is broken the roof will fall. Padma leaves silently and Dadi tells him not to say such things because what goes around comes around. She says it wont work out well if the head of the house acts this way. She says they will have to save the house for the other people that they love who live there. Kamal wipes a tear and calls up the manager of the publication house and asks if he got his translations. the man says yes but is annoyed and tries to hang up saying that he has other things to do. Kamal asks for more work and the manager says he will see about it, then kamal asks for pay since it is the first and the man says he does not need a reminder and that the money will get to him on the 10th and hangs up. Sudha, dadi and padma watch nervously throughout. kamal hangs up.

The hotel manager tells brij and sushma that they werent too bad the night before but he said that there was no spice in the dance and that is what the customer is looking for as their pay is based on tips. Brij says they will be better but the manager says he doubts it as sushma who is looking sad still isnt smiling. Brij says her name and tells her to smile until she does. the manager tells them that if they do well and if there arent any mistakes he will give them a chance to perform in shows and at weddings for extra money. He then leaves. Brij tells sushma that they are at the door of success and her happiness is the key because as long as she is happy and smiling they will be making money which will make them both happy.

The kids ask jyoti what she think of her mehendi and she says that it is the best and that no one could have done it better. Kalpana's mom agrees and kalpana asks what they have drawn. One girl says the sun and kalpana says she thought it was a laddoo and another says that that is on the other hand. They all laugh and jyoti says that if pankaj was here he would laugh when he saw this. They all fall silent.

Pankaj tries to walk in but uncle stop him. However he tricks him and walks into the room and uncle leaves laughing while the kids cheer. Kalpana says he is abusing the leeway they have given him and he says he will do the same for her. She leaves and her mother says she will as well asking the kids to come but pankaj says that they are a family and they can stay as he doesnt need privacy. She says ok and leaves. Pooja asks him to sit with her and he agrees. They tell him to look at her mehendi and he holds out his hand. Jyoti puts her hands in his and he starts to trace her mehendi while they both smile. He guesses what is on her hands correctly and she stares at him and wonders how he could see what she couldnt see despite being unable to see. She smiles.

Sachin says he has to go as he is late because of them especially since he told his mom he would be coming home early and now will be in trouble. He then says this will not happen from tmr because jyoti will then be in his house and will turn it into a mandir. He tells her that he is waiting impatiently. He is about to leave but pooja whispers that they have a surprise gift for jyoti and want to show it to him before hand and so he leaves will all the children. Kalpana comes and sits by jyoti and tells her that he really loves jyoti and now jyoti will have to respond but forgetting her past and loving him completely as that is the only way she will be able to be his life partner. Jyoti just stares at her. Kalpana's mom comes in with clothes for jyoti to wear for her wedding. Kalpana says she should wear green while her mom says she should wear pink. They argue and then decide to ask jyoti who looks confused. She then rmrs pankaj touching her hands to see what was drawn on them and starts to touch the sari's with her eyes closed. Kalpana watches confused and then smiles when jyoti picks the one with work that she can feel with her fingers.

In the re-run, they did show a pre-cap of Jyoti trying to walk w/ her eyes closed, and falling. Dayal uncle catches her, and tells her that Pankaj doesn't want somebody who follows his footsteps, since he isn't blind by choice. Jyoti assures him that she isn't planning to be a Gandhari, but will be trying to bring light into his life.
