Padma sternly tells Jyoti that Kabir is not allowed in the house from now onwards. Dadi also tells Jyoti to watch her moves. Jyoti is shocked and taken aback. Kamal Kishore and Sushma go for a morning stroll when Kabir also comes and joins them. Poonam sees Kamal Kishore and Sushma coming home with Kabirand informs Padma, who gets extremely angry. Deepu is very concerned for Jyoti and tells her to be careful, as men would now try to take advantage of her. Jyoti says to Kabir that all is fine now and she is also safe, so Kabir need not worry for her. She leaves for the academy, leaving Kabir in a dilemma. As Deepu reaches his office, Poonam's father meets him. A colleague passes a lewd comment for Jyoti, to which Deepu reacts and picks up a fight. The manager sees this and fires him.Tuesday, April 13, 2010:
Kabir, Jyoti and the academy girls go to watch a movie as Kabir wants to show Jyoti some dance steps in a song in the movie. Poonam's dad brings a bruised Deepu home and narrates the incident at Deepu's office. Padma and Poonam blame Jyoti for the same. Padma tries to contact Jyoti but her phone is switched off. Padma is even more furious. Poonam tells Jyoti that Deepu lost his job to salvage her good name. Jyoti is shocked. Jyoti apologetically tells Deepu not to listen to all the baseless talks. Deepu is disgusted and tells Jyoti to leave him on his own as it will never affect her even if people around her suffer.
I know that as usual, Jyoti will try to be mahaan and hurt Kabir to please Padma & Poonam, but this is what she should tell her whole family: she has two options:
- Quit Bhagya-da's group, so that she won't be seen w/ Kabir any more, since he is the co-owner and there's no way she can not be seen w/ him as long as she's working there. That way, Padma, Deepu, Mahesh-ji, Poonam, et al will all be happy that no such rumor-mongering will go on about her. At the same time, quit writing Basu's column, since it was that which brought her on TV and made her such a high profile figure: simply dating Kabir by itself did nothing to damage her OR
- Quit the house, and marry Kabir, so that her decisions no longer adversely affect anyone there, as her relationship w/ Kabir will now be legitimized. Oh, and this time, resist your inclinations to be mahaan, and stop sending money home. Let Poonam borrow liberally from her dad.
Deepu is right that the decisions Jyoti takes doesn't factor in who she hurts - like the time she stayed away from his wedding for the sake of Sudha. But this time, he's not - the decisions Jyoti took were totally work driven. Also, while he's right that guys may try to take advantage of Jyoti, he's seen Kabir - what makes him think that Jyoti is in unsafe hands? If anything, by making Jyoti split w/ Kabir, they are making it more, rather than less, unsafe for her.
Jyoti is once again heading to a point where she could get hurt. If she has a miscarriage as a result of this, that could give them all a salutary lesson, before she moves on. Really, just like Sudha has now finally wised up and has put limits on what she's willing to do for her sasural, Jyoti needs to do the same, and tell Padma and others what they can't interfare in. Of course, to do that, she needs to move out of the house like she did last time, and then hopefully marry Kabir. And this time, please, end all relations w/ home, including KK & Dadi, who aren't really a positive influence in your life.
