oh come on, why all this romance again and again and again. I thought jyoti was gonna carry her life on as a single now, or the script been changed?

this is bullshit, now you guys love him, but soon he'll be hated. First when Brij was introduced, ppl loved him, Pankaj introduced, people loved him, now third one, oh come on, a bit unrealistic...? how come every male is in love with Jyoti? I bet if Pankaj hadn't found jyoti first, his 2 brothers (udhay and the other guy) would be in love with her too. hahah

jyoti isn't meant to be happy lol, this is one of the most depressing dramas ever, when have they ever shown a good storyline or a comedy sequence which is actually funny and does not involve Dadi teaching Deepu's wife to cook & then bursting out laughing. ANY kind of depressing story you can think of will be/has been shown in Jyoti, lighten up producers.

jyoti is the fault to it all, she didn't tell pankaj about brij until he threatened to reveal it himself, and now with this guy, she has 2 affairs to hide lol. next it'll be 4, 5, 6,7,8,9, 10, 11 .... hahaha.

Sorry to offend people who like this, but it's the truth.

If you wanna see a perfectly balanced show watch Baa Bahu aur Baby. It had actual comedy, drama, and most of all it was real, relatable, never over the top, never making one guy the hero and the rest are loosers, doesn't insult viewers intelligence. Has no one ever seen that show??? (im talking of the 2005-2008 episodes only).

John

The reason characters are loved and hated is based purely on what they do, rather than who they are. Remember that there was once a time when even Bhairavi was quite lovable - this was b4 she met Jyoti, and when she was enamored w/ Sudha, but encouraged Uday to pursue Devika. Reason people started hating her was when she started displaying an attitude about Jyoti, and obstructing Uday's attempts to warm up to Sudha. Similarly, during the Uday-Sudha saga leading up to their marriage, Jyoti herself was universally unpopular here, due to her playing second fiddle to cm and doing what she could to facilitate Uday's marriage to Neelam. In fact, at one level, it's almost karma what happened to her.

Yeah, Brij & Pankaj were loved based on what they did. When everybody was taxing Jyoti, it was Brij who lent her Rs1000 to enable her to get over things, and it was him that she went to for comfort. But once it was hinted that he was cheating on her, or tried to take advantage of her, his popularity went down. As for Pankaj, reason he was loved was that he pulled Jyoti out of trouble w/ cm, and during the discovery of Devika, when KK himself refused to allow Sudha back into the house, it was he who offered Sudha their guest room where she could stay until her parents accepted her back. In fact, people were even supportive of Pankaj when he kicked Jyoti out, noting that Jyoti had it coming on her for lying about Sushma & Brij. The turning point was when Jyoti's pregnancy was revealed to him, but he refused to accept her, and followed up by divorcing her. At that point, people started hating him.

In the current case, Jyoti has been quite honest about the fact that Pankaj was her hubby to Kabir. So far, she's just started regarding him as a friend, so she's had no reason to confide in Kabir as yet. Yeah, once he tells her that he loves her, she does need to tell him that she's pregnant w/ Pankaj's baby, and everything in the past about Pankaj, Brij & Sushma. Just like she opened up completely to Mahesh-ji, w/ the result that Mahesh-ji and Prabha-ji respect her even despite Poonam's instigations, similarly, she should tell Kabir about this history, so that she doesn't have any mystery to hide from him, and so that she is blackmail proof from Brij.

If you want comedy, how have you been missing Kabir's stunts - like him sneaking up to Jyoti in the theater, or him entertaining those kids, or him standing behind Jyoti cheering when the girls persuade her to join them for a movie. It's Kabir's entry that's been lightening things up. Sorry, but when Dadi makes a big deal about Poonam's pallu flying off while she's cooking, I didn't really find it all that amusing.

I agree w/ you on one thing - they've never shown Jyoti completely happy: always, it's something or the other w/ some member of her families that keeps her tense. If it wasn't Sudha, it was Sushma, if it wasn't Sushma, it was MN&G (after the hadsa), if it wasn't them, it was Uday-Sudha, if it wasn't Uday-Sudha, it was Brij, if it wasn't Brij, it was Deepu's marriage. Only now does it seem that everything w/ every member of her family is under control: Sudha is happily settled, Sushma has recovered and has (unbeknownst to her) chalked out a good plan for her baby (adapt it out) and herself (study until she gets to the point that she is independent). Yeah, now Deepu is out of his job, but there is nothing Jyoti can do about it, despite what she told Padma very reluctantly. I would like to see some parallel romances b/w Kabir & Jyoti as well as Uday & Sudha. They used to do it well w/ Uday & Sudha when they were single, but stopped doing it once they gotten married.

I understand why you are depressed w/ it, and don't blame you for preferring another serial to this. But those who were watching this from pretty early are hooked on to this. Now that everything in the original synopsis - until the point of Jyoti being kicked out while pregnant - is fulfilled, one hopes that they show things returning to normal in Jyoti's life. Some have speculated that at the end of this serial, Jyoti will die and donate her eyes to Pankaj.
I hope that's not in the CV plans.

ok, thanks for your reply, i am in UK and we are 3-4 weeks behind, and haven't seen the scenes you talked about.

jyoti was great when it first started, all the events were getting solved quickly, (like sushma and brij getting exposed, deepu's lies about his studies, jyoti's mum taking her money and not allowing her to get married). it was good, showing good stories and good resolutions, but they should have balanced it, not just negative alll the time.

one question, is brij ever coming back? i found it hilarious that he was untouchable, deepu and 10 boys chasing him and he disappears on an empty road, lol.

Ok, you are somewhat behind - at which point is the serial in UK? Dunno whether this spoils it for you, but anyway, here goes.

Brij has just been released from jail (I'm assuming that you got the part where Sushma & Deepu framed him and got him arrested), but this time, instead of going after Sushma or Jyoti, Brij decided to go after where the money is - Bhairavi Vashisth!!! He lands in her house on the occasion of Pankaj's wedding, and asks her to meet him privately, or else, he tells Pankaj everything (this everything is unclear, and left to our speculation). On the day of Pankaj's marriage to Neelam (the same girl who Uday stood up when he eloped w/ Sudha), he shadowed Neelam to the home of her boyfriend (yes, she had one), took photos of her and caught her cheating and showed it to Bhairavi. Bhairavi read Neelam & her mom the riot act, but allowed the wedding to proceed.

Anyway, few days later, Bhairavi met Brij @ an alley and paid him cash, and warned him not to call her again. Brij rejected the warning, and told her that he could cause an upheaval in her life anytime by exposing what she had done to Pankaj. He promised to call her whenever he ran out of money 🤣

So Brij's role is now 'positive' in that instead of going after Jyoti or Sushma or the rest of the Sharma family, he's now going after arguably the most hated character in the serial (other than himself & Padma). Only thing - following the godh bharai episode next week, it looks like he might revert to form and try taking his revenge on Jyoti by creating some more hurdles for her, goodness knows how.

Anyway, Pankaj got married to Neelam, and Jyoti resumed her life. Oh, dunno whether you've gotten the Kabir episodes yet or not, but after her divorce hearing, Jyoti's boss Bhagya-da hired a new partner Kabir, who runs an event management company, and whose role it is now to bring exposure to her group, and popularize it, thereby ensuring a steady income for all the members, including Jyoti. Unlike Jyoti, who is dead serious, this guy is an absolute personality opposite of Jyoti - fun loving, loves to crack jokes & pull gags, etc. After a series of episodes, it's come to the point where he knows that he loves her, and wants to tell her. That's where we are.

Recent episodes have been more or less heartwarming or funny, except for some sappy scenes here & there when Jyoti becomes idiotic all of a sudden and decides to whine over Pankaj

John,
follow this link to watch Indian Jyoti ...
Vrisha,
UK Jyoti is 3 to 4 weeks behind Indian Jyoti.. but I thought the character in UK Jyoti would re-visit what she did in the Indian version and be more forward and correct her mistakes in the UK version but apparently, both the Jyoti's are idiotic doormats.. lol.. 😃
The episode which just got over last Friday was the one where Sushma brings money to shut CM's mouth.. If John is watching the UK version , he will like the forthcoming episodes which have a lot of thrills..lolll . If he isnt watching the current Indian episodes, from my perspective, he isnt missing anything as it has been a slow few days... lol
And I wonder what has happened to the newspaper column Jyoti has been writing.. I saw an upcoming yet "sanskaari" Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jesicca Parker in Sex and the city) in Jyoti but its a disappointment that I didnt get to see any more articles after the ORDER from CM to replace Jyoti's article with a cement ad.. I wish Jyo becomes as bold as Carrie and start writing about the true faces of men and make the Udaipur male readers feel ashamed of themselves.. lol.. That will make way to another protest by the unemployed men for no reason..lol

Neelam is just the right wife for Pankaj, regardless of whether he ultimately recognizes Jyoti's goodness or not. After all, Jyoti always tried to accommodate his effeminate sentiments, whereas Neelam will be strictly practical - something rare in a wife, but sorely needed here. Like Pankaj too frequently wallows in his self pity, and while Jyoti would sometimes point out his real achievement, such as w/ girls like Pooja, she'd also just give him empty reassuring statements, and entertain his geekish, effiminate shayars and so on.

I don't see Neelam doing it. She is practical. I don't think she's doing so much of a 'down w/ Pankaj' as much as she's doing just what's expected of a wife, but not more. I agree w/ her - why should she dress up when Pankaj (at least as far as she knows him) can't appreciate that beauty? The thing that I liked about her was that she just laid down matter-of-fact statements to Sudha, which the latter didn't appreciate since she's too sentimental. Uday deserves that sort of sentimental love, but not Pankaj.

Yeah, she did try to escape this marriage when she thought that Gaurav loved her, but now that she knows he didn't, she's probably resigned to this marriage so that her dad can milk her choti-ma to his heart's content. I'd like to see Bhairavi tell them that 'beti ka maayka pani bhi nehi pita hei unka sasural se'? Anyway, I think this will be the second and last b'day of Pankaj's that Jyoti celebrates.

Sudha could ease some of the pressure on herself from Bhairavi by being friendly w/ Neelam, who after all was not the one who plotted to destroy Jyoti's marriage.

Sundara, John

This site (
http://jyotiserial.in/) is good as well - you get to go to the page of a certain date, and can see the entire episode inline, w/o having to have separate windows/tabs for each clip. I use this whenever I'm writing updates - let's me download all of them together, and then watch them.

It's updated very shortly after the actual episode in India ends.

One more thing struck me about how this could ultimately explode. What might happen is that after paying off Brij enough times, Bhairavi would simply be out of money, and would either have to fess up, or steal from her family - be it Gayatri's safe, Uday's bank account, etc. Even if this works, it'll still run out, and then, when Neelam's parents can't get money from them, they'll stop pressurizing Neelam to stay, and Neelam herself will walk out of this marriage, supported by them. At that point, suspicions would be raised, plus Brij would surface, since he's no longer getting paid, and that's when the ca-ca would hit the fan.

Hopefully, Jyoti is Mrs Jyoti Sisodia before that.

Who the 🤬 does he think he is to say "Jyoti thum aazaad" ho... Pank is such a loser and this stupid girl has been praying for him... total waste of time to devote on someone who is so hypocritical ...
And too late for Jyoti to tell who she is with.. if she had done her story telling before the first wedding, she wudnt have had to face this day..these two (Jyo and Pank) are two losers made for each other ..lol..first of all, after divorce and the loser husband's second wedding, there is no point in her telling him about her daily activities and who she is talking to.. did she think Pankaj will have something good to say about her new "friend"... lol.. hasnt she learnt?

I have a few doubts/points...whatever..

1. Pankaj , who is now married..that too, when he cudnt wait for the divorce to be done, should not be calling his ex-wife Jyoti so late at night.
2. Why does Jyoti keep giving explanations to Pankaj about anything to do with her life now?
3. Pankaj making all the comments about her 'azaadi', etc...is to hurt her or to convince himself?
4. Why was Jyoti shocked to hear all those cruel comments from Pankaj, since she already knows what he thinks of her.
