As soon as prithvi entered the room , he knew something was definitely wrong.
Meera's face was rigid with uninterpretable emotions and her eyes were blood red reason for reason unknown and underivable.
She was standing unusually still at the far end of the room , her back to the wall and her eyes were screaming unbearable hatred.
Prithvi didn't know how to react , how to respond,this was the same girl who was blushing in his arms couple of minutes ago and now not even tiny flash of that crimson color remained.
What remained was brutal sinister disdain enough to squeeze all air out of your lungs.
He had no idea what had made her feel like this, what made the heart melting smile from those luscious lips disappear, what had happened in this span of short time that her beautiful face had lost all the happiness?
Without thinking he started moving towards Meera who didn't do any thing except kept staring at him.
He wanted to take her his arms and make her forget all her sorrows , relieve her from all of pain and make her happy again.
He reached towards Meera and tried to smooth the lines on her forehead, at the same time something hit him hard and real strong hit on his forehead and he became disoriented.
His hands reflexively reached his forehead where tiny rivulets of blood had started spilling.His head started throbbing with pain and he clutched it even more tightly.
He felt dizzy and literally his feet lost its ground and he fell with a loud thump on the floor.
Meera kept looking at him with same hatred and her knuckles which had turned white holding the jug loosened its grip and it fell on the ground making tumbling sounds.
Meera started looking frantically for the jeep keys which she was sure were in Prithvi's kurta pockets.
She found the keys in his right pocket and ran towards the jeep, it did not matter to her that she was still limping and her feet hadn't recovered completely but the will power to escape and human survival instincts have always been unbeatable.
She started the jeep, reversed it and maneuvered it towards the direction in which lakhan's SUV had gone.
she had no idea where she will go only the unwavering eagerness to flee.
She drove continuously for 15 minutes on the straight road and was forced to stop when she reached where the road was spitting into two and she had to choose between left or right.
No sign posts, not a single person to turn for help.
Suddenly she realized the same SUV which came at Prithvi's house was racing towards her with full speed.
She instinctively took a right turn and drove even faster.The SUV seemed gaining on her and she didn't know how to stop it besides driving even faster.
She pressed the accelerator peddle to its full capacity and kept driving and sending silent continuous prayers to her bhagwaan ji.
Her jeep seemed slowing down irrespective of fully pressed accelartor, she started searching at the dashboard for the reasons and her already loosing confidence took a major jolt when the fuel needle dangled at Empty sign.
The jeep could stop any moment and then there would be no way out.
She pulled her jeep into the side forest thinking she would get some leverage in hiding in the bushes and jungle.
As expected the following SUV also turned behind her and was looking even more scary and was gaining on her with every passing second.
Meera's was desperately hoping that she could some head start so that she could find some decent place to hide.
Her jeep stopped at a desolate place surrounded by lush greenery of the forest,Meera jumped out as fast as possible and ran as fast as her painful legs could run.
She found a large bush covered all over with leaves, twigs,branches and surrounded by a large tree whose branches where touching the ground.
She was breathing heavily and holding the wrapped dhoti so that it does not come in her way of legs and make her fall,she could not afford getting caught again,she already had been there once in that hell and could not even think of going back.
She had to save herself at any cost.
Her heart was pounding at break neck speed and the beads of sweat were crawling all through her body.
She was completely dependent on on basic human instincts and was praying to her bhagwaan ji continuosuly and persistently.
She even started doubting her decision of leaving Prithvi's cottage.
She brushed that thought aside, there wasn't time for feeling guilty or remorse for the past actions.
Suddenly the SUV stopped right behind her jeep and almost 8-9 big looking guys literally fell out of it.
Her fear climbed another level of dreadfulness and her heart stopped beating .
She recognized the same man who was talking to Prithvi was screaming to his followers to find her.
There was no doubt in her mind that if these men found her , they would either kill her or worst hand her to Akash.
All the men scattered to lookout for her and the commanding man stayed there near the SUV.He had asked his men to call him in case they found her.
She knew her best chance of survival was to stay hidden and wait for the night, there was no way she could escape on her injured leg in the broad day light.
and since it was evening , the night was not far although she had no idea where she would run but she couldn't surrender herself to these ruthless looking men.
The leader was constantly calling his men to get the update and was parading left , right , around the jeep , every where, he seemed very very impatient to catch Meera.
After almost an hour all the men returned to the leader empty handed and the leader shouted even more for their failure , he cursed them, sweared on them and asked every one to sit in the SUV and leave.
Meera breathed a sigh of relief when every one left and she was left alone in the forest , helpless and directionless.
She came out slowly and started running towards the main road but she must have run half a meter when suddenly from no where the SUV appeared in front of her and all the men surrounded her in a round circle.
All of them ready to pounce on her any time and tear her to shreds.
All of them sneering with hungry eyes and wicked smiles pasted on their ugly lips.
Meera froze, her feet were jammed to the ground having forgotten the ability to move,her breath stuck in her throat afraid to inhale the dreaded air,
her mind went numb , fear taking over her entire being and her nerves jolted with unfathomable fright.
Meera waited for her doom ,terrorized ,scared, helpless and unprotected.
very very sorry for such a late update , there were lot of reasons , but the important thing is I finally managed to do the update.
