U knw guys, I will say this for Sudha that she was not at fault at all.

Sudha had fled the village with Meera to ensure her daughter had the freedom of choice. All alone she had created a safe cocoon for her daughter and herself. This safe world of hers came crashing down when she was diagnosed with cancer and then she created the safty net for Meera when Meera- Aakash got engaged and Sudha had already visualizes them as a couple.

Now this safety net was broken by Meera with her jaunt to 12gaon and her coming in contact with Mr. Prithvi! Poor Sudha all the ways that she had tried to keep her Meera safe and cocooned came to naught.

It is very difficult for anyone to see their dreams for the ones they love the most come crashing down and that is the case with Sudha.

Now coming to Sudha's volte face in precap - well ek toh Meera ne apni Ma ko kuch nahin bataya hai abhi tak (Gadhi hai Meera who has been telling all to Aakash and Dadi but not her mom)

So Sudha had to learn this from the Meera-Prithvi interaction.

But to my mind what actually has made Sudha do the 360 degree turn is the fact that Prithvi despite having all the opportunity to malign Sudha to Meera by telling her of mother's promise, took all on himself thus keeping the mother-daughter relation from souring. This to my understanding has made Sudha realise the kind of man Prithvi is and that he will do for Meera what she has always wanted to do - Keep Meera loved and safe always.
