::Love story ::

part 2 :

I woke up da next morning with a groan. I was with other city gals, Akash insisted I stay wid them. Nikki, a doctor poked me in my arm, when I was so lost in the thoughts of.. no erm.. not prithvi. HE'S NOTHING TO ME! But I ought to find who tha girl is! and why prithvi hugged her.. scratch the last part. I wanna only know who that girl is.

"Kya hua.. unki yaad ari hai kya?" Nikki asked, "looks like you are missing Akash.. "

Gosh what's wrong with me! I slapped myself and smiled.

"Kind of.. akash is my besy buddy from childhood."

Nikki smiled, "I know.. well, if u need help, I'll be around. Its just I'm more accustomed to living in such villages.. "

I nodded.

After a quick shower, I walked to mandir. I sniggered, Prithvi had promised to take me to the huge mandir on the outskirts of da town, but he ditched me. I shook my head and walked ahead.

Prithvi's jeep, unknowingly a smile formed on my lips which faded as soon as I saw prithvi sitting there.. with that girl. Its not like I'm jealous, mind you! Why would I be? Prithvi mera koi nahi lagtaa.. Just I hate that goofy smile on her face as she's feeding him there. I hate PDA (Public display of affection).

I was so busy glaring at the gal, that I noticed when I glanced at Prithvi, he was staring at me. When our eyes met, he smiled a bit.. a tiny bit. I smiled back, get a grip meera! He's not cute... jungli billi hai woh!
I almost slapped myself again and ran into the mandir. I can imagine da confused look on prithvi's face.
I offered my prayers to shivji. I prayed to lord to give me strength to reunite my mom dad. Then the pandit called me.

He was a nice man, very kind. He offered prashad and we had a little chat.

I couldn't help but ask who that girl is. Ramu mentioned prithvi was in luv wid a girl. Kya yeh wohi hai?

Pandit laughed as I pointed to the duo, who were laughing merrily, "Prithvi ki behen hai woh... "

"Behen...?" a zillion watt smiled formed on my lips. Dont ask me why! I assure you its not because of their brother sister relationship.

"Lata.. " Pandit went on, " bahut pyar karta hai prithvi usse..."

I was shocked at my stupidity, at my assumptions. Prithvi is so caring about this gal from town, who's an orphan and even took care of her every need.

Pandit told me she's pursuing her degree from the city and is happy, all because of Prithvi. Suddenly, I felt like my respect for Prithvi doubled.
He's such a sweetie pie, always taking care of others.

I bade good bye to pandit ji and was descending the steps when I bumped into Lata.

"Hello ji.. aap ho meera?"

I smiled and nodded, " aapko kaise patha... "

"Bhai aapke baare mein humesha kehta hai, shehri billi.. "

I mock glared at laughed, "shehri billi.. "

"Don' get me wrong.. " the girl began, "bhai will help you.. "

"Bhai?"

"Prithvi bhaiya.. maine use samjhaya.. ki koi bhi ladki bewajaa.. is jungle mein kyoun rahegi? He will help you unleash the truth.."

I smiled at her kindness, "prithvi kyoun meri madad karega? woh apni datta ke khilaf kabhi nahi jaata.. "

"Abhi woh maan nahi raha.. par maan jayega, woh apko pasand karta hai.. "

I choked, prithvi liked me?!

"Kyaa?"

"Yup.. he's feeling bad, aapko bahut kuch sehna pada na is gaao mein.. "

I blinked, thanked her and left with a huge smile. I wished silently prithvi would help me.

I opened the packet which Akash left me. An MP3 player... aww how much I needed to listen to my fav songs. I was missing them..
It was almost midnight, someone knocked on my door. Its prithvi, he said he'd help me out. As Lata recommended him. He had thought all night about my issue, it seemed. He said we'd need to sneak out to meet pandit ji.

"Ithni raat ko.. kya aap.. woh ka hai na.. " he stuttered.

"I trust you prithvi.. "

He understood and we set out. I plugged in my earphones and we moved out. He held my hand as we walked through the desolate streets.

Ek tara was playing. I was lost, admiring prithvi. Oh silly me.. I agree I adore him. We turned around a corridor, I bumped into him, lost my balance. He held me.. Ek tara continued to play inside my heart.
