PART 2

Jodha immediately wore her scrubs and checked his vitals. his BP was falling down and there was blood on his shirt indicating that he was bleeding somewhere. she checked him thoroughly and found a large glass piece pierced into his right hand. she called for emergency OT and while he was shifted, she signed the consent form herself as wife. she wore her OT dress and took a deep breath wiping her tears. she called her senior and her support system in this 5 years, Dr.Salima and explained everything. she assured her and sent her husband, Dr.Sujamal who is CTVS surgeon, who was also like a brother figure for jodha

Soon everything was arranged. blood was transfused and jalal was anesthetised. sujamal gave her much needed support, he is the main surgeon, jodha his first assistant.. after 3 long hours, surgery was completed with taking off glass, controlling bleeding, suturing the cut and wound bandaged cleanly. jodha instructed the sister in charge about post-op care and went to change her dress.

Sujamal gave her further more instructions "don't worry,chotu. just don't stress the wound. i think its better you inform his family and let them take care of him."he couldn't hide his bitterness in voice

Jodha smiled and hugged him "he has no one here bhayya. i'll look after him till he gets his conscious back. i can't leave him just like that."she said with tears in her eyes looking at his sleeping form on bed, attached with many tubes

Sujamal caressed her hairs "i can't understand how you can love him so much till now chotu??? after all that has happened... my blood is boiling just listening to your story even though i don't know him personally"

She just smiled and answered "that's why you don't like him bhayya.once you know him personally, you can't hate him and did you listen anywhere shadow hating their own body.. likewise i am his shadow, no existence without him. i can never hate him or be angry with him"

Sujamal caressed her hairs and kissed her forehead "i'll keep on praying god for your happiness, chotu. come.. lets have coffee and then go to our respective departments"

They went to canteen, sujamal cracked jokes to lighten her heart and felt happy listening her giggles and then went to do his work

Jodha went and checked jalal and after confirming that everything is fine, she went to her cabin only after personally requesting the sister, who is moti's friend, Reva to call her immediately if any need

She checked her patients as soon as possible. As its her OP day that day, she is free after her OP patients are over. by afternoon she completed everything, went to jalal and sat on the stool holding his hand

Reva went away in excuse of having lunch. jodha asked reva not to inform moti and she'll tell moti herself

Jodha locked the door after reva went and caressed his hairs, kissed his forehead "i missed you my tiger. i missed you a lot. may be i am not fit as your life partner, but for me you are the one. it hurts to even imagine you with someone else."

She hugged him tight and heard his heartbeats which was her favourite lullaby from her childhood. she adjusted herself beside him on his left side

"I have very less time. i will make new memories in this little span of time. i will cherish this moment" she said to herself and hugged him tight and started thinking her flashback, how she met him for the first time, he came as her guardian angel

FLASHBACK

Jodha was an orphan. the orphanage will help kids only till they are 17-18 years and then they have to find their own job and stabilize themselves

Jodha was in her class 12, she wanted to become a doctor and was reading really hard. she drew paintings, sold them and with that amount, she applied for premedical test, got a decent rank. but for studying medicine, she needs a lot of amount and she can't afford that

She was devastated with that and was so dull from that moment.

As if god has showed mercy on her, a rich person named Sharifuddin came to help her. he talked with the orphanage head and said that he want a care taker for his physically handicapped wife and he will take care of her studies. he said that he wants a young girl as he want his young wife to be comfortable and friendly with her too.. he even convinced them he won't make her servant of house and will let her study. all she has to do is take care of his wife who is in wheel chair. he even brought his wife with him

His eyes fell on jodha and he said he wants jodha. orphanage head thought that it will beneficial to jodha too and agreed. all the documents were signed and jodha went with sharifuddin and his wife. One week passed, everything was normal for jodha. she used to take care of sharif's wife and in no time they got closer. she gave her unused clothes to jodha, jodha was happy with her life.

The school in which jodha was studying had a small party for all those who achieved medical seat that year. Jodha was also called. Sharifuddin permitted her for an hour. She went to the function and her seat was beside a middle aged woman. She smiled at jodha and asked her "what is your name, bete???"

Jodha smiled shyly and answered "jodha"

Then she started chatting with her best friend, Moti "you know moti.. sharifuddin sir took me to his home and his wife os so sweet. he even said that he will buy me all clothes and books for my MBBS college. he is so good" and she was going on and on. Moti just came there for jodha as she has no one to share her happiness

Moti was happy because jodha was happy and she said jodha that she decided to take nursing as profession, so that they can be together in future. jodha smiled happily and hugged her

The woman beside her asked jodha "bete, can you show me where washrooms are???"

Jodha smiled and answered "come auntie.. i will accompany you." and she took her to washroom

They had to cross a road to go there. Suddenly a speed car passed by and jodha pushed the woman towards bushes and herself fell on road with abrasions. She went to check the woman. Immediately 4 people with well built body, gun in their hands surrounded them. Jodha scared seeing them and hid behind the woman

She narrowed her eyes at them angrily "you people are scaring the poor child"

She hugged jodha and said "its ok... these people won't harm. they are my bodyguards" she kissed her forehead

Then she commanded them "one of you go get first aid kit and other one get new clothes for us." 2 of them nodded and went away. she cleaned jodha's wounds and applied anti septic cream on her wounds

Soon their clothes were brought

Jodha denied "its ok auntie. i can't take this"

She smiled and said "consider it as a gift for your achievement.its ok.. think your mother is gifting"

Jodha nodded with tears in eyes and took the dress. They reached the venue and the anchor announced "now i invite mrs.hamida banu to come on to stage".

The woman with jodha caressed jodha's hair and went up to stage while jodha just looked at her in awe.

Then she was called and hamida gave her the award smiling. jodha gave her a big smile

Then jodha went to the car which was waiting outside for her. Hamida accompanied her till her car as she felt attached to her in this little time. Jodha was about to open car door when sharifuddin who was inside opened it for her. She smiled at him and went away bidding bye to hamida

Sharifuddin took her to a hotel "let's celebrate on your success, jodha baby" he said in a husky tone and kissed her cheek.

Jodha felt uncomfortable and moved back

Sharif grinned and licked his lips murmuring "i love scared kittens like you"

"Its ok sir.. we will go home. madam must be waiting for me. she might be hungry"

Sharif placed a finger on her lips "hush... at times think about my hunger too baby. we'll go to hotel, return home as soon as my hunger is satisfied. if you be a good girl and obey me, i'll buy you books today"

Listening this jodha became super happy and nodded in yes. sharif caressed her soft arm and forearm with a smirk

He took her to a hotel room that he want to eat without any disturbance. "i'll bath till my order comes. i've brought you a dress too. change and be comfortable"

Jodha smiled nervously "its ok sir. however we'll go home. i will change into my night dress directly"

He shrugged and went into bathroom....

Jodha was sitting silently... sharif came just wrapping towel around him. he saw jodha looking out from window. He went and hugged her from behind. she startled and tried to free away from him

"Sir... what are you doing???"

"Jodha... baby... you are beautiful. i was cold.. so hugged you to feel hot". he smirked evilly and sat on bed, tapped his lap "come and sit on my lap baby"

She stuttered "no... no..... sir"

He pulled her holding her hands and she fell on bed... he was about to pounce on her when the door bell rang. He went to check cursing the person as it was ringing continuously, took the dinner and shooed away the person.

He came back inside and saw jodha hiding herself in bathroom.

He laughed loudly "you can't hide baby... i removed bolt of bathroom too.. so that you can't lock inside"

He lifted her and held her under shower... "your wet form is alluring baby and i'll enjoy sucking these droplets from your soft body."

She was about to kick him in between his legs, when he held her legs wide apart all of a sudden, She kicked him somehow and ran away from washroom crying.

Sharif came behind laughing aloud... "no escape baby" while jodha was shouting for help

He caught hold of her and threw her on bed... he tore her dress... she bit him and pushed him.. he slapped her and she fell on bed... when she tried to escape, he pulled her... his nails piercing her soft skin... scratch marks over her thigh and when he tried to take away her bra, she pushed him and that left a scratch on her upper trunk

Jodha shouted with all her energy "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE....."

Sharifuddin slapped her once again and she started to lose her consciousness.... Before she slipped into that dark world, she felt someone pulling away sharifuddin from her and hitting him blue and black. Some female hotel staff covered her and someone picked her up and shouted "My car on standby.... she's losing consciousness.. make it fast... lock him in this room.. i'll deal with him later."

He looked at her with concern and then everything was a blank to her

By the time she woke up, some female doctor was checking her ... She shouted immediately and shooed away the doctor's hand from her body, hiding herself more into herself "no.. no... don't touch me"

Someone came inside hearing the chaos.. She became more agitated seeing a man... She cocooned into herself.... "no... no... go away.. stay away from me..." doctor signalled him to go away. He went away and then the woman whom she met in the function today came inside

She saw Jodha with teary eyes.. "jodha... bete"

Seeing one familiar person, she hugged her "he... he.... he tried to...." and sobbed like anything... Hamida just caressed her hairs kissing her telling sweet nothings, giving her courage.

Feeling the motherly warmth and under medications effect, she drifted into sleep with tears striken face.. Hamida cried seeing her state and kissed her forehead

She went out "i want that man behind bars, jalal. this moment"

Jalal hugged her "yes ammijaan, i'll deal with it. you don't stress over that. how is she ????"

Hamida hugged him back "jalal.. she was such a happy child when i met her today, she has sweetest smile, i felt bound to her the moment i saw her. i'm thinking of raising that child. she is so sweet and innocent. we can for sure keep her safe from this dangerous world"

Jalal smiled as he expected this from his mother "as you wish, ammijaan."

Hamida nodded and continued "and.. jalal..don't let her name out anywhere. she is so small for this cruelty"

Jalal nodded and went to deal with sharif

Hamida sat beside Jodha till she got her conscious back and told Jodha that she is her daughter from this moment and hugged her tight. Jodha just looked at her lifelessly. Hamida felt sad seeing her state. The girl who smiled for everything is now like a lifeless doll. Hamida caressed her hairs,"cry it out, bete.. cry it out...don't let that pain dominate your mind. let tears take away your pain." jodha just looked at her and laid on bed

Suddenly jalal came into room and she hid behind hamida, shivering seeing a man enter . Jalal felt bad seeing her state and went out

Next few days, only Hamida was allowed into her room. Hamida tried many ways to get her out of room. She stays only in that room staring at walls.

FLASHBACK ENDS

Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ring.. She silenced the phone, checked jalal and accepted call only to be bombarded by questions

"ammi... where are you??? we are waiting....""yes ammi... we have a surprise for you. where are you ammi???" she smiled hearing their cute voices, followed by moti's voice "hey... she is in duty... come, i will tell you stories"

"no,moti auntie, we don't want those boring stories" jodha could imagine their impossible expression while saying this.

she giggled hearing moti's angry voice "acha.. my stories are boring...."

"bacche.. ammi will be some late today, i'll be full day with you both tomorrow.. ok.. sorry.. really sorry.. kaan pakade sorry"

"ok ammi... come soon.. we will be waiting"she could imagine their sad faces.. she talked with them for a while and cut the call...

She checked jalal, changed his infusion, its 4 in the evening by then, thought to wait for 1 more hour for him to gain conscious...

Sister called her for rounds... she went for evening rounds in her ward, talked with all and it took almost 1 and 1/2 hour... He is not conscious yet, she got a little worried, but all vitals are stable

3 more hours passed like this... jodha was passing time by reading book, looking after him but he's sleeping peacefully making her worry to no end. children too called her multiple times.

Then she decided that she'll take him home as she can't keep kids waiting for her too... She talked with administration, signed as assurance, made arrangements, called moti to sterilise a room in their home and told her the required arrangements

Finally, they went to her home in an ambulance

In ambulance, she remembered his utmost dislike for hospitals

FLASHBACK

Jalal was suffering from viral fever, Jodha was an intern then. They both were engaged by then

He was sleeping on bed covering himself completely. Jodha went to him and pulled off the blanket

"Jalal...Boo... how many times i told you not to cover like this.. fever won't reduce if you cover yourself like this.." he made a face hearing this, She pecked his lips seeing his red cute face like a baby

He immediately pulled her into his hug grinning widely

"you have no energy to stand, but will be ready for this always" she teased him giggling. He just replied her grinning.

"acha.. get up, we have to go to hospital today... today is 5th day of your fever. we should take some samples"

He immediately turned to the other side and hid his face between his arms...

"no jodhu, they will poke my skin.. it will pain" he made a painful face

Jodha caressed his hairs... changed the wet cloth on his forehead "i will collect sample today... will collect sample slowly, won't let anyone hurt my boo... come on be a good boy"

He just didn't listen and closed his eyes and ears

Finally jodha said "ok.. if you come today and give your blood, i'll bake your favourite chocolate cake.. your tongue must be craving for yoummy food naa.. i will add gems, badam, cashews, chocochips...."

She was still telling, when he sat on bed and pulled her on to his lap, she shouted in surprise.

"500 kisses from you will do"

She widened her eyes and looked at him

"no... no way" she slapped his arm playfully

"ok jodhu... 1000". The businessman in him activated.

"what ???? are you crazy??? i won't"

"you wish doc, i won't come to hospital, think again"

She pouted at him "ok... how about100??? 500 is too much jalal"

He gave her a victorious grin.. "ok... 100 per day"

She hid her face in his chest "besharam...."

He tucked her hair behind her ears and kissed her ears "by the way, you can start from now, you know.. i wont mind"

She gave him "you're impossible expression" He kissed her cheeks and made her sit on bed.. she helped him in getting ready

Both went to hospital, he was whining all the time

He didn't allow her to take blood sample, because he want to hold her. He hugged her waist tightly hiding her face in her belly while they collected blood sample.

He is not ready to leave her after that, So she took CL that day and accompanied him home, made him healthy food, fed him and made him sleep keeping his head on her lap, caressing his face and kissing his face.

He smiled, played with her hairs for a while and dozed off saying "Don't go leaving me jodha and don't ever leave me alone in hospital, you are doctor naa, treat me in home only. i don't like hospital, many people will be crying there"

She smiled and kissed his cheeks and eyes

She called hamida who went with mirza to their some far relatives home and they both laughed over his antics...

FLASHBACK ENDS

Her thoughts were again interrupted with horn. They reached her home. The ambulance boys helped her to take him inside. Moti was shocked seeing jalal, looked at jodha with questioning eyes.

First jodha made sure everything is ok for jalal, closed the door and asked moti about children only to know they slept just a while ago after waiting for longer time and after lot of pleadings from moti

She bathed and sat on couch only to see moti bringing her dinner, she just looked at moti

"what????eat your food.. if my guess is right, you would have skipped lunch too worrying about him" she pointed towards the door

Jodha just took her plate and ate so slowly

"he didn't get conscious after surgery, but his vitals are stable"

She just looked at moti like a child looking at mother for assurance, moti smiled and hugged her "don't worry nothing will happen..."

Jodha nodded and had some food. Moti too didn't force as she knows it will only be waste of time and energy

Jodha asked Moti to sleep and she will look after jalal, She asked her to sleep with kids

Moti accepted when Jodha agreed to take turns for looking after jalal

Finally at 10, Jalal opened his eyes searching where he was, He was feeling like he lost his right hand only to see it wrapped in bandage. He was feeling extreme thirsty. he looked around and saw many tubes were attached to him. his search ended as he saw Jodha on couch checking her mobile

For a moment, he thought that whatever happened was a dream and he had a bad dream, He was so happy that all separation was a dream

He was looking at her with a wide smile, and it only increased when her eyes met his

She came running towards him, checked him

"How are you feeling now, jalal???is it paining anywhere???" she asked in concern

He looked at water kept on table. She made him sit properly and made him drink water and wiped his mouth with her hem of cloth.

She disconnected all monitor connections and only 1 drip was attached and flowing. Then she sat on the stool beside him

"you aren't supposed to take solid diet till tomorrow morning. i gave painkillers, so you'll feel drowsy, and... and...." she was looking around as she didn't know what more to say anymore

He signalled her to come near. she came near him, he pulled her head and kept it on his chest with his left hand... patting her head slowly.

Like this was the thing which she waited for, she hugged his waist, half laid in left over space and heared her favourite lullaby

Both wanted to talk a lot, but this silence in each-other's arms is providing them soothing feeling... he patted her head and slowly drifted to sleep, when jodha observed his regular breaths, she made him lay flat and laid beside him, her head on his chest

moon smiled seeing the lovely couple together and spread his silvery rays on them

TEASER

Jalal's sound sleep was disturbed by noise outside his room.

He got up, stabilized himself and went to door, only to hear kids shouting "ammi... ammi... come here.. come soon.."

Soon he heard jodha's voice "arey... areyy... coming baba.. just a minute"

"No ammi... come soon abbu is here"

Hearing this jalal got really sad and shocked, in some corner of his heart, he hoped Jodha hasn't moved forward in her life and was waiting for him.

He took deep breaths, stabilized his emotions and came out of room to go away because he can't control himself if he stayed anymore. maybe he'll just abduct her and take her away with him

He came out and looked at kids, their back was towards him, he searched for their father and no one was there.

Then he heard boy telling "ammi.. abbu is so handsome, no.. just like me" he said pointed towards television

Jodha laughed loud and pulled his cheeks "yes, salim... but you are handsome like your abbu, not he is handsome like you." she teased him

Jalal came some more front and saw his interview was telecasting in TV

Aram, who don't want to be left out claimed, "ammi, see i also have mole on my chin like abbu, i am also like abbu, no"

Jodha giggled and hugged aram "yes baby, you both are like your abbu,happy ???"

they both grinned feeling happy

Jalal was shocked and confused why are they referring to him as their abbu. He checked once again, there was no one in living room. so they must be talking about him.

Suddenly he felt giddy and held the table beside him, vase fell down and that caught trio's attention

Jodha immediately ran towards him, supported him till couch and made him sit on couch

Kids immediately ran to him "ABBBUUU.... when did you come ???" they both asked at a time and giggled

Hearing their giggle, jalal couldn't help but smile, they looked just like him, one could easily tell they are his kids

He looked at jodha as if asking "are they mine"

Jodha just nodded with teary eyes, biting her lips to control her sobs
