In this haunting prison fort

Sleep is the long lost luxury
I could not afford
As passing breeze not bringing
lullabies of your soothing heartbeats

A cloud of darkness blinded my sight
Streaming down the hot tears
Burning my salty cheeks in the absence of
Your hard lips kissing it away

The piercing agony in my heart
Pulling my sinking soul further
My shaky hands violently
Searching for your hands to hold it tight

I'm trying, trying to be strong
Holding onto a flicker of hope
A miracle would happen to take me home
That's within your protective arms.

Like a dove that'd flown miles to finally come home, she nestled in his embrace, tightly, snugly. Weary she'd become, of flying relentlessly against gales; tired of braving it all alone, out there.

Safe, at long last, from the galewinds that'd iced her bones and being, her shivering body had found its place to rest - in the rugged dwelling that was his chest. And rest she did, basking in the warmth of his young blood, her body dissolving in his like fluid, her molten softness flowing into the firm folds of his physique.

She didn't have to not feel tired any longer, she didn't have to not appear weary anymore. She could feel what she felt. Be who she was. She could be herself. Now that she was at her home.
