Yeah... NJAPA Jalal is just a modern version of the serial Jalal (with more self-respect & without the pushover tendencies😆) and Jodha not being so judgemental or rude.😕
I loved Jalal in the first 80 episodes too... but I think for the sake of drama, the makers spent too many of the important formative episodes of a budding love story, on misunderstandings - allowing a royal-bred queen to treat the Shehenshah of the entire Mughal Sultanate very rudely and un-queen like, while Jalal kept returning back to her... (I mean who tells her husband who's just saved her in the jungle, go die elsewhere but not in my city for I don't want my family defamed) There was little coming back from that for me...
Later on, they completely lost the plot... and Jalal behaving like a beggar etc was really difficult to sit through... so, while RT and Pari looked amazing as the two, and are both amazing actors, shared lovely chemistry on screen at the start, I personally feel the story was butchered at several crucial junctures...
Of course, if we compare it to other historicals, it still has far more to offer!😊
