Also I am following the world cup cricket matches, India and New Zealand are playing, (5 ODI matches, India is leading 3-0), the fourth match score right now:India batting 55/8 in 20 overs. This is probably their worst score ever in the history of cricket I think 😲😭

No, my dear Rekha, I did know you in my Chandra Nandini days, but only by your id. You were on my PMs list for that show, from October 2016 to early 2017.

I quit in acute irritation when Chandra abandoned his duty to his praja, and his rajadharma, to.follow Nandini. I never went back, not even for Rajat, whom I still adore. Poor boy, when I see what he has been reduced to, it is enough to throw one into.depression.

I am so glad to have touched base with you again, my.dear, and this time to get to know your pretty name as well.

I am deeply flattered to.learn how much you enjoyed my Chandra Nandini posts. My style of writing, and my gargantuan posts, are not for everyone, and the fact that you liked them so much says more about you than it does about me! No wonder you are now captivated by Lashy's complex and carefully plotted narrative, and her very appealing style.

I wish I could be as active on the HBAS.threads as I used to be in the beginning, though even then it was nothing like in my Jodha Akbar, or even Chandra Nandini days. The rheumatoid arthritis has worn me down, I am afraid, and now a pinched nerve keeps me in bed for large chunks of the day.

But still I shall try to post something daily. It is delightful to.see such a brisk, chattering group of youngsters, carrying on like a flock of starlings!

My dear Vathsy,

It is so nice to meet you, from Canada, a gorgeous country, which was where I had my last posting, as the High Commissioner of.India, before I retired a little over a decade ago.

I have travelled.all over Canada, including to the.Northern Territories, where the Foreign Office took a small group of Ambassadors on a Northern Tour. The country has such amazing natural beauty.

Where do.you live? I was of course based in Ottawa.

I am glad to be back in HBAS land after a long hiatus. I am never going to get really well again, and I have accepted that. My RA and I are by now old friends! Now it is my neck -my ailments clearly believe in variety 😉 - but I have hopes of reducing its impact.

In any case, as I.am sure this group will continue to be active long after.HBAS itself has been wound up in style, I will try and post something or the other daily, just so as to feel part of the.HBAS family once again!
