Lana, have you heard of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programme ? It is a programme where selected fresh American university graduates are involved in a 10-month assignment as teaching assistants to English teachers in countries around the world.

Well, beginning this year until 2020, my school will host a new ETA each year. On Monday, we will officially welcome the 2018 ETA to the school. The following haikus will be recited during the ceremony.

It is our pleasure

To welcome a new teacher

To our lovely school

Yes, I have heard of it!! We call it the Teacher exchange program here!! Where is this new teacher from? I mean which part of USA? And are you the Haiku creator? They are excellent! Hope the new teacher know what Haikus are. 😃

So Rose how do accommodations and all work out? The school finds it or she has to on her own? And she will be there until 2020? 2 years?

She was born and raised in Hudson County, New Jersey. 24 years old. B.A in English Creative Writing, a stage performer and has even acted in a television show pilot.

Accommodation and everything is seen to by MACEE ( Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE). One of our teachers will be her mentor.

No , we will receive a new ETA for each year. So 3 different ETAs.😃

Rose, stressful is an understatement!! 😔 Well, teaching is a noble profession indeed but the pay is not so noble! To survive in bright sunny CA where we have to pay taxes for sunshine it is difficult to survive only in teacher's salary. I have to do a second job in the school itself to get some extra bucks!

Cost of living is very expensive here! 🤔

That is some good information about the exchange program in Malaysia. 😃 She is so young!! Maybe that is why she can leave and go to explore the world. 😃
