C42 Teasing Heights
What wondrous sights Heera beheld with that precious gift of her husband's. The wonders of nature though were no match for what she spied in the Mansabdar's chamber. Catching her husband at work without him being aware that he was the object of her fascination was doubly thrilling for the besotted wife. And minutes later , everything heated up an extra notch when her eyes fell upon a gasp-inducing scene - a glimpse of her unsuspecting Sahib's bare torso up close!
Modesty and propriety took a backseat and curiosity won the day when she took another peek to fathom the glint that had caught her eye and once again, she was left utterly enraptured seeing his, now, armoured body.
The second meeting of the day between the couple was, to all intents and purposes, merely to update Heera on two latest developments that required urgent attention. But at the outset itself, it was not to be the case. Having accepted her grateful thanks for the gifts amidst the not -so -warm ambience, the first of the two unsavoury updates was made known- the imminent death of two of her messengers which distressed Heera so much that having run out of avenues to sway her husband, she succeeded in wrangling a stay of execution with a handclasp that effectively put him under her spell.
However ,it was the second supposedly upsetting update that upset the entire equilibrium of the afternoon. An overheard inadvertent remark by his Begum led to many a- magical -moment that left the readers as breathless as the leads. The entire teasing scene was our darling author in her most romantic element yet !
After the euphoric high of the afternoon, the evening saw a reversal of fortunes for Heera when at her behest , Chacha jaan's revelation of one bewildering truth after another of AMK's painful past left her reeling from shock!
