Chapter 32 set the wheels in motion for further developments. And as one can see that wedding is around the corner, heera looked a far cry from her usual-self. She has become shivji for her people. Drinking the poisonous truth for their betterment, which has dampened her spirit.

Whether the relief that spread through the parnagarh after heera's arrival or the commotion followed by khan sahib's entry, you were spot on. But the best part comes next.

an idea where we both stand together, to care for Parnagarh... where the Sahib takes on his role as the newly-appointed Mansabdar, while I remain the baisa... where he can provide the protection, while I provide the support...' through an advantageous marriage... that would make us both banna and baisa... husband and wife...'
This was not only the best way to minimise the damage and convince parnagarhis, but also something that heera would have wished for.
And if I'm not wrong, also the "zalak" of coming days. What a lady!!!! Innocent yet best diplomat possible... Fragile and yet the strongest one... her grief consuming her, and yet she is the calm and responsible baisa parnagarh needed...
This para is my favourite.
Reaction of people of parnagarh was very much natural. I was reminded of " train to Pakistan" when I was reading this. CAST one word is enough to divide people.

Tour of the house toh banta hai. Khan sahib would not stay in previous mansabdar's room. And he is not doing it for harka , but that's the way he is... It makes him much more respectable. The man who is so thoughtful about the rose plant must be so soft at heart.
AMK is so hatke that even if he is busy in daily duties, it would never be boring owing to his unique ways!!!.

"since she was obliged to keep up an appearance." This entire part was almost like a poem. You write every part so beautifully, work so hard and yet you feel the chapter might disappoint us. How could you?
The wedding preparations were going on in full swing, but heera is gloomy. Not many days though, she will be back to life just like rose plant.😃

Khan sahib is mingling with his to-be relatives, and going through the ceremonies with grace. And he is concerned about her. He need not worry, though. As far as , he is there, she won't be unhappy for long time. 😳
