I learnt Carnatic music for 14 years and Bharatnatyam too for a few years...
I pursue neither now... 🥺 and my voice croaks like a frog now...
So Anindita I understand how you feel😭 My mom is heartbroken whenever this topic comes up...
However, I do get on the stage and groove to Bollywood music whenever I get the chance...
I luuurrrvvve Drama too... I used to jest that there was a time I spent more time on stage than off it!😆
I like writing Caligraphy style too, Periyamma (self-learnt though)... I basically like art... any form of art... can appreciate it...
But when it comes to Maths, sports, physics and the sort... I am a big Zero! 😆
So the conclusion of this is, I am a big nautanki and a romantic 🤣
@ Adwi... I like being a jack of many trades.. because it gives me option to venture into different fields, have different sorts of discussions... appreciate/enjoy variety more...
I am not the kind of person who can singularly practise/concentrate and pursue one field, giving up all other distractions, like a go-getter! 🤔
I'd guess that Maestros in any field would probably practise for 2-3 hours everyday without fail... now I can't have that sort of continued dedication... 😆
