Have pushed me to seek breathing space

By Hiding behind a stranger

A stranger whose presence brings a smile

Whom I trust and respect

He makes me forget my pain for a while

With him I somehow connect

I cried out to him, my troubles galore

He surprisingly understood

I wish to stay in this haven some more

Forever if I could

But I must proceed with resolve

Overcoming my ache

For my country, my people

For my motherland's sake

Though my heart yearns for peace

The calm of a mother's embrace

I know my challenges cannot cease

There are combats I must face

No struggles in life can be won

By denial or by tears

Must face and fight them one by one

Till the chaos clears.

Sri, my dearest Sri, how you spoil me! Well, this is definitely much more than the 2 words I was cribbing about, so it is fine!😉

I did enjoy writing it, after not knowing, at the start, either what the title was going to be or how it was going to turn out. So all things considered, I came out of it quite well, thank the Lord!
