Lashy...

After reading the first part between Shehzaade
and Ustaad, it was Duryodhana and Karna who flashed in my mind...

Somehow the characters of these two, the circumstances under which they met, the bond they share - it reminds me of those two characters from Mahabharat...

Though well aware of what is right and what is not, Karna had to stand up for his not-so-righteous master only due to gratitude... it was for Kunthi that he had to make a choice of sides and he ended up chosing what is morally right for him...

Akbar would be in similar situation for Heera one day and it would be interesting to see love winning over gratitude.. 😳

Well, Sri, we never mention this before kids, but Radha was a married woman, and was actually a distant aunt by marriage of Krishna's. If anyone were to copy this in a show now, the uproar would be horrendous!

There was thus no question, really, of her letting Krishna go. I am only surprised that her husband did not boot her out of his home. Krishna was, in any case, the totally detached nitya brahmachari, and he was devoid of any and all mohmaya. So when the time came, he must have upped and left. It is also said that she became his bansuri and went with him, but then as the Dwakradheesh, Krishna no longer played the flute.

Why, if anyone had to let him go, it would have been Yashoda and Nand. There was a beautiful long poem I read once called Nandavilaap, about Nand's anguish at the loss of Krishna.

Lashy will of course answer your question, but ustaad simply means a teacher or an instructor, who necessarily has to excel in the discipline he teaches. It need not be restricted to the arts, or indeed to anything else.

To come back to the issue under discussion, I want a nice happy ending for Akbar and Heera. I don' care a hoot for whether it is epic or not. Moreover, Sri, which great cause would have been served by their living unhappily ever after?

Sandy your heartfelt (and absolutely spectacular analysis) deserves a proper reply... but I'll respond to this question ... Saraswathi Periyamma asked the same one as well..

1) He was planning things perfectly... it'd taken him months to woo Durga, get her to agree, the marriage date was set a month away... his original plan - wed her, slowly gain control of Parnagarh & its people... make his own deal about the mines with the Shehzaade for sake of power in court... and once Durga's married to him, both sisters lose their voice anyway... he knows nothing about a Farmaan... She obviously knows nothing of his plans

2) Suddenly, out of the blue, a minister in court brings up a Farmaan issue... While court sends messenger to Parnagarh ordering the sisters to produce Farmaan in court, Shehzaade secretly dispatches Khalil to get it... which Mahendar's spies-in-court must have told him about...

3) He tries asking Durga, just after the horse fair nicely once or twice (since any more times and she'll suspect him.. might call off the wedding)

4) When Durga doesn't relent, and she's adamant about taking Farmaan by herself to the court.. he's left with little option but to track down Khalil and make a deal with him...

Things between 2-4 happen in a very short period of time... he was going to lose the Farmaan shortly... so he acted rashly, but there was little else he could've done even otherwise... he would've lost Parnagarh completely...

Yes... I can see the similarity between Karna and Akbar's (I've felt part of their situation similar too - character of Karna fascinates me...)

Now, I know your comparison is in totally another angle.. Love Vs Duty... 😳 and 100% makes sense..

But just adding a point (that was in my mind before, and mention it now since you brought it up)... I've compared their natures... and wouldn't you say, AMK a far better of a person by nature...

Karna had a good-enough upbringing... he had loving parents... he wasn't happy with his caste of 'Charioteer's son' and was treated unfairly...
What AMK has gone through is a completely different spectrum altogether... it was routine torture... and unthinkable...

And unlike Karna who goaded his friend during his villainies, AMK is actually raising a voice against Shehzaade's other men... 🤔 he wouldn't stand for the kind of things Karna stood by Duryodhana for... and I think the one person who actually helped him retain that 'humanity' was Chacha jaan...

But yes.. the 'choice' was tough for Karna, will be tough for AMK😊

👍🏼 So, his teaming with Khalil was out of impulsiveness and not planned. Like Sujamal and Sharifuddin.

'What was I supposed to do?' the Kunwar broke out into a series of cackles 'Months... it took me months... MONTHS of planning to get Parnagarh... and just as I was about to wed Durga Bai and get control of the place... the issue of this Farmaan springs up from nowhere... then, Khalil is made in charge... if I didn't strike this deal, I would've lost everything...'

Mahendar can't even touch the Shehzaade - too out of reach... but he positively hates Khalil... why, once (he thought) he came to power, he would've done everything he could to bury Khalil...

And what is Umbridge 😕 or rather, who is Umbridge?

Thanks Twinnie... 🤗

But, you've made the story more intense. This is going to be fun to read. It's more like watching. I can't wait to read more.
Awww😳
Akbar, told Shehazaade that he will lay his life for him! Now, I find it very interesting. Is he really going to do so? Or is he going to continue protecting Harka, like he did with the prince. Was the promise to bring himself back to his former self and senses. He knows his loyalties have changed. Even Bahadur has noticed so.
Laying his life for the Shehzaade he'd do even now... it'd be much much easier for AMK to give up his own life than to harm Harka... and there's where the game comes to matchpoint!
Now the question, how long before the prince does so. He already suspects. Well sort of anyway.
Looking forward to the next update.
Therein lies the story... 😉 and I agree Epic is fighting all odds!🤗

Twinny, I am so happy!! Fighting all odds!! Nothing is in their favour. It's a total disaster so to speak.
How is Harka going to react, that is something, I'm actually worried about.

She is so heartbroken, lost her Jiji, Jijasa is a chameleon and now when she has a chance to be happy!!! I don't want to be in her shoes. Nor in AMK's either. He is caught between a rock and a hard place. My heart hurts in anticipation of what's to come.

This is going to so tough, all I ask is you make the love so much more for the both of them. I trust you and can't wait to read more.

PS:

Publish it as an ebook when it's done! I would buy it!!!
