Flashback
Sitting just behind the adjacent table, Abdul tried to hear the conversation going on...
"Jo.." Restless with some fact, Jalal called her, who was sitting with some seniors on another bench...
Excusing herself a little she moved towards his table and sat down, answering in a worried tone...
"Yep?"
"Umm... I wanna ask you..." his sentence left hanging in air, when Surya made his entry and sat just behind Jodha... And his attention with gaze shifted towards him... Glaring with a menace drown in his eyes... Royally ignoring the furtive glance he attended the other person on the table...
"Jo! Are you free this evening?" Hoping the answer to be in positive, he skillfully hid his nervous persona...
Taken aback by this sudden invitation, uneasiness settling down her guts, she roughly got a clear cut idea about the feelings transpired in Surya's stance... While Abdul, whose ears were perked at the conversation could feel the building rage and emitting heat from his buddy's body...
"Um..." Searching for a solid reason to decline the indirect proposal, she pretend to think not wanting to let him feel dejected...
"She can't go !!" the low voice laced with anger , hit their ears and both the heads snapped in his direction... Surya's brow unanimously shot up at Jalal quizzical... Even Abdul shivered with the intensity his voice portrayed at the moment...
Equipping the shocked expressions, he tried to justify the outrageous moment that transpired...
"'coz she's going with me!!" he added calmly, composed for the affectionate oozing from her beautiful big orbs... Giving a curt nod, Surya strode away from there...
"Phew! You saved me!" She exclaimed delighted by the relief after this temporary restraining situation...
"Is that a yes?" he asked with a blank face...
"For?" She asked confused with this totally unexpected question...
"A... A date?" he asked, finally, this would've been completed few minutes ago, if that Surya wouldn't have interrupted... Pink hues appearing invariably getting darker answered his query, extremely pleased with the fact, he pecked her cheek and walked out of the canteen...
Abdul grinned uncontrollably, knowingly grabbing the opportunity to tease his friend... He too walked out of canteen wanting to take full advantage on his friend's expense...

Present
Dejectedly both, Abdul and Ruqs settled down in college canteen... Darkness have engulfed the bright ambience of dusk that have scattered along the campus highlighting the greenery exceptionally... Tired she opened his bag, searching something to satisfy their big appetite...
But something caught her attention was a brown diary, simple and sober, seems like a personal diary...
"Abdul, if I'm correct you doesn't write a diary then who's it?" She asked keenly examining and tracing the soft textured cover...
Abdul seemed alarmed by the sudden invasion in his personal space, he immediately snatched the diary from her and answered, rather a bit rudely...
"None of your concern!!" Ruqs frowned and bend down to pick the pics that have slid down due to that hard snatch... And was shell shocked finding something she never expected at that moment...

Flashback
Smiling dubiously, lost in her own world she walked inside the darkened place at their college terrace,'coz students weren't allowed to go outside without a solid reason...
Delight swept over her sharp features, watching his taut form standing at the rim, his back was facing her...
"Jalal..." she softly called out...
Turning around with a cute smile, he forwarded his hand and the moment he received her hand, a soft warm embrace welcomed her...
Both sat at the edge of the terrace, she resting her head on his shoulder and he holding her waist... Materialism never entertained either of them...
After the serene moments of silence, his voice though casual and calm but raspy reached her ears...
"Jo! Promise me something?" Hope that voice held,melted her insides and with a nod she urged him to continue...
"Promise me... You will be there for me! Hamesha!" and laced his long fingers with her slender one... Smiling sweetly at his childish desire, she pecked his cheeks and promised him...
"And I won't ever let you broke down your promise!!" And they enjoyed their evening in silence, silence that conveyed their innermost feelings without any words...

Ok I know again late this time... When I've started with this I'd no work at all... Now I've loads...😆
