If jalal had been stubborn when his mom went on hunger strike and if she had any health issue jalal will be potrayed as villan by family, relatives, society at large.

No one ever says what parents are they so stubborn cannot they allow son to marry his love

Everyone will say what son(or daughter) he is so esaan faramosh that he is adamnt to marry his love despite family objection

And in matters of love even police, law, panchayat, religuious etc all will support parents not the younger children who are in love

Tell me how many lovers killed by parents or panchayat and how many were punished hardly anyone

Easy to put blame on jalal, you never know how tough it is in reality

In india children cannot even decide own career or which school they go, only parents decide all that too

So i do not blame jalal but Hamida and Bakshi and Atagah only in this case

Yes jalal has not accepted jodha, it take time to forget 27 year old love and accept a new women in life. No one ready to give him that time instead still his mom, sister do not give him time always blame him for anything. Its their fault more than his in such cases. But he is being made as main villan, mom and sister married himn under all emotional blackmail but now putting all blame on him only for not accepting jodha. Its human emotion not some object called jalal that they are dealing with. Jalla is guilty he has loved ruqaiah and has had a physical relationship too with her, so he is in fix he cannot abondon ruqaiah and enjoy with jodha too another physical relation. Jalal is thinking that since he loves ruqaiah and even had physical relationship may be one day they will get back together as husband-wife, he does not want to use jodha and create false hope and just throw her off his life like majority men would do in world. That itself shows he is a decent human, he dont want to spoil jodha life by having relationship with her. That is his way of thinking.

Yes jodha is being emotionally abused by jalal, atleast he is not removing anger he has on mom, sister on her by physical abuse like it happens in such cases. Men usually remove anger of forced marriage on wife, atleast he is decent enough not to do it. So i do not blame jalal here but hamida and atagah and bakshi, to hide her past they have convienently spoiled jalal, jodha and ruqaiah life and not accepting that they have done wrong also

I came across this ff of yours few days back, somewhat have understood the storyline. Few doubts.. but guess it will get cleared with coming updates. This is a very complicated story.. I mean here everyone seems at fault and helpless at the same time.. but very real.

jalal loves ruqaiah his cousin but mom and sister force to marry jodha

because hamida was in love with hindal(ruqaiahs dad) and she is scared if jalal marry ruq her past will come out

its her way of taking revenge on hindal too for forcing her to marry his brother humayun despite loving her very much
