This said, though I liked Nandini's deceptive smile before she approaches him, I wondered about how careful Nandini would have had to be to avoid pricking herself on one of the poisoned spikes.😉

I liked the self-satisfied look on Chandragupta's face when he bares his coat of mail. But what if she had been like the Bulgarian umbrella killers, and had stabbed him in the neck with a sharp hair ornament? That would have been far more practical than this bizarre spiked contraption.

As for how the show will shape up, my guess is that with luck, it will be good for 6-8 months. I am already wary of the insanification angle that is already up front and centre in the Nandinispeak we have been shown, and to hope for more than about 150 good episodes, or 8 months worth, would be being over optimistic. If it is much better and for much longer, why then that would be a big bonus!

aunty, honestly we cant expect too many things in a TV show. even in other historical shows mindset is the same. even in SKR luv-kush had already announced tht ramayan should be re-named as sitayan. so from my point of view im going to enjoy rajat as usual at least maybe this time few things will be satisfactory.😉

Oh, yes, Munni, that we will all enjoy Rajat's performance is a given, Shweta looks really promising, and then there is always the novelty of a new role and the setting in a totally new era. I do not expect anything very special beyond this.

Besides, one has to be realistic. If Ekta were to make a superb historical on the lines of the 1990 Chanakya, it would never last more than 3 months today. The audience now is very different and the commercial pressures are immense.

Absolutely correct, Munni. That is exactly what they showed in that classic serial .

I must add that the 1990 Chanakya of Chandraprakash Dwivedi, a very extensively researched and meticulously recreated project, presented as a dense politico-strategic treatise on empire building in that era, is considered to be the last word in TV serials on that period.

Finally there is some one to match Rajat for sheer talent and getting into the skin of character.

She does not look like the Bhashan type at all. 😉 😆 What a relief .

But getting scared on the manjoo panjoo mouse CGM will become once he falls in love. 😆

What would have happened is anyone's guess.

Nanda's entire empire and kith and Kin Killed. CGM needs legitimacy and hence quite possible it is a political marriage. Chanakya engineers it.

Nand's daughter does not have anyone to protect her so CGM marries her.

Nand's daughter in a strange way falls head over in love with CGM.

Remember SHE is the one who gives Bindusaara. Helen however close may have been to CGM finally goes without child and goes back to Greece after CGM retracts to South India(ShravanaBelugola).

EKTA chooses her familiar forte is no surprise - As long as it is executed with finesse and good acting, this is going to be good. 😃 😃
