Chapter 5:

But even before all these, right from chap 1, I was not convinced about Mahendar. This was a part of my comment for chapter 1.

Why do I feel suspicious of Kunwar Mahendar???? Am I over-imagining or is he this story's Suryabaan?🤓

I wasn't over-imagining after all. Mahender turned out to be a sucker.🤢 Actually, what struck me odd about him was his seeming perfection, like a perfect alibi. He probably wanted to strike a deal with the Shehzade himself. Had Durga managed to reach out to the palace and present the farmaan in the court, then he would have to control Parnagarh only through Durga indirectly. And Durga was a no-nonsense girl. He had to get her out of the way and control Parnagarh through Heera who being physically challenged would be weak (so he thought).Once he got control of Parnagarh, he might have had Heera disposed of too.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was lurking outside the palace and probably had opened the secret passages for Khalil to enter. What he hadn't expected was Khalil taking away Durga's modesty. That is all. That is what he meant by 'I didn't expect Durga to die that way'. HE was Khalil's source.😡

Coming to the rest of the chapter, the dancer turned out to be a Benazir offering him a poisoned goblet. But our Akbar Miyan was no ullu like Jallu (😭) and didn't need the heroine to save his precious fragile life. He could manage it himself and does so in style.😃 Wonder who Chote Faizan is.🤔

Connecting the poem narrated by Durga and Heera's penchant to hide in urns and planters, the farmaan is probably hidden in an urn somewhere. An offhand place that none would suspect. But safe overall in the palace. 🤓

P.S: In HP, Harry was able to track the horcruxes because special objects were chosen to encase Voldemort's soul. If he had chosen urns, shoes or old rusted knives, Harry might have never won.😃
